After being told that a particular (of course most expensive) adjustable bedframe would work with our existing platform bed we made the purchase. The touchless delivery ended up with the delivery guys barricading our front door without notification that they were there.. our old mattress that we paid to have removed was outside in plastic, and the delivery guys did not pick it up (until I called and they came days later) ... once we got the front door open from the barricade (with help from the neighbors), we unboxed and set up our new frame. Getting onto the new bedframe, we realized that it was unstable and unsafe. Every movement made the frame slid around--not compatible with our existing platform frame, as the sales clerk promised us it would be. Months of unanswered emails to both corporate and the store directly, we finally heard back that all sales are final and they would not do anything to hold up their promise that the bedframe would work. We spent 2700 dollars on something that now sits in storage. If a 2700 dollar return means so much to a big corporation over their promise, quality, and customers I will ensure that my voice is heard and customers are lost. I would give less than one star if possible. They were very helpful to sell a top of the line mattress for $4000. We paid for delivery and removal of the old. They took the mattress but not the box spring. The delivery people were very rude. When I went to call the store to have them approve them to remove it, not sure why I should have to, but the delivery just walked out and slammed the door. Spent over an hour and spoke to the customer service. They said they would have to get approval to have someone come and get the box spring and would call back. The person never called back. After sleeping on the bed a couple nights, the mattress was defective and sloped to one side. I went to the store to have them replace it and they said customer service would call to schedule someone to come out. It's now been a week and nobody has called. I would never shop in this store again.

Where to start. I was told our furniture would take about 4 weeks to ship to us, it took 7 weeks. I booked a Friday morning delivery last week, and just got a notification that you're delivering it Friday evening after I've already made plans to be away from my home. To add insult to injury I waited on hold for 20 mins to get a representative on the phone to find out what's going on and was forced to reschedule my delivery for another two days (on a Sunday) with no knowledge of when it will arrive. That means I can't make any plans this weekend because I have no idea when you're going to deliver my items on Sunday. To say I'm disappointed with the lack of customer service by Jerome's is an understatement. Great job Jerome's, you lost any future business after your company decided to switch things up and leave me hanging without any options.

Great! I had Stephanie Goodheart out for a free furniture consultation. She measured the condo and found out what I needed/wanted, and what type of style I liked. I live out of state, so we made plans to meet the next day at the store - she had made up plans of my condo, and furniture, rug, accents, etc. suggestions, including some alternatives. I selected about 95% of what she selected, and tweaked a few things as we walked through the store - and we walked, and walked, and walked because I made her go through the store many times! :) So much to look at! If I hadn't used Stephanie's services, I'm sure i would have come home with furniture way too big. Although everything was pretty much available for immediate delivery, I scheduled it for 3 weeks out when I was coming back. The delivery was prompt and professional, and they placed all the furniture where it was going, laid out the rugs, etc. Then Stephanie and an associate of hers came out and brought a few remaining items that weren't deliverable, and hung all my pictures for me and tweaked the way things were laid out. The service was excellent and very much appreciate Stephanie's good eye for my style (or lack thereof :) ).

I moved to San Diego and was not familiar with furniture stores. My life was hectic due to a sudden relocation and did not have time to do research on furniture stores. I saw Jerome's Furniture on TV and visited the shop. In May 2011, I spent nearly $7,000 to furnish the entire house with Jerome's furniture and also purchased extra warranty by paying additional $300. Due to my job, I was out of town most of the time and nobody stayed in my house with brand new furniture from Jerome's. So, the furniture was not used much. A few months later, I started noticing that the leather couches were worn out- the leather surface looked as if it was heavily worn out for years. Because the couch was purchased only a few months ago and it was hardly used, I suspect that very poor-quality leather was used to make the couch. I didn't get a chance to contact Jerome's and the surface got worse even without much use. Finally, this June of 2012, I called Jerome's and reported the worn-out problem. Jerome's simply told me that nothing could be done because the 1-year store warranty expired and told me to contact the warranty provider, Guardsman. The couch I bought was also discontinued- due to complaints from customers, I suspect. I called Guardsman, who stated that it was not covered by warranty and would not do anything. Here is what I learned after wasting $7,000: First, Jerome's furniture has a very poor quality. They claim warehouse prices but you will find better prices elsewhere. Especially, if you want furniture that lasts for years, avoid Jerome's. For example, their living room tables' frame wood is not a solid wood but cheap plywood material. You should be able to tell by simply touching the surface and lifting the table. Second, do research and shop around. I found out later that other reputable furniture stores have higher quality furniture with competitive prices. Third, the extra 5-year warranty is useless because the warranty company, Guardsman, will simply say that it is not covered.
Description of Work: I furnished my entire house with Jerome's furniture spending around $7,000; and deeply regret it. I wanted to report this sooner but just became a member at Angie's List one and a half years after the purchase. I am writing this review because I want innocent and uninformed customers to learn from my experience so that they don't waste their money, as I wasted $7,000. May 2011: Purchased 3 bedroom sets, 3 matresses, 1 dining set with 8 chairs, living room set with 3-seat leather sofa with electric recliners and leather love seat with recliners. Purchased Warranty to cover the entire furniture paying extra $300. October 2011: Started noticing heavy worn out on the leather surface of the couches. June 2012: Called to get service on the couch. Jerome's Furniture stated that it won't do anything because 1 year warranty expired. Warranty company, Guardsman, also denied coverage.

The salesperson, Jack, was very helpful & friendly. He pointed us in the right direction & we found the perfect bed. The customer service people at the desk are not so friendly or helpful. The girl who rang us up didn't seem to know how to use the computer, she said we could pick up our bed anytime after the following Tuesday. After I got home I noticed that the pick up/delivery date on my receipt was for 4 months in the future. I called back & they said that my bed was due to arrive on Tuesday & it was just a typo. I asked if I should make an appointment & they said no, just pick it up Tuesday afternoon or later. We arrived Wednesday to pick up the bed & the same girl was at the front desk. She said that we could not pick up the bed because it hadn't arrived yet. She asked us to come back in an hour so there would be time for them to unload the truck. We came back 4 hours later & she told us the same thing. The price & sales are awesome, customer service stunk, C+.
