Description of Work: Created a custom cabinet for the master bathroom that incorporated a linen cupboard, shelves for a charging station, and a drawer containing a laundry hamper. They had to return a couple of times because we wanted a laundry hamper that was WAY too big and the glides necessary to make the hamper slide easily were not large enough. They probably lost money on this project because of one change we requested, and the number of trips and different hardware, but they got the job done! The cabinet is beautiful and met our needs perfectly!

Description of Work: We feel so fortunate to have found Integrity Home Improvements. We purchased a short sale home that we absolutely loved, but the kitchen needed a complete gut. We were also toying with the idea of adding a bit of an extension to provide a dining area, which the home didn't come with originally. We interviewed a number of different contractors and encountered the following: high pressure sales, contempt for our budget (we ended up spending $40K, but I guess that's pocket lint to some contractors), and with some contractors I even noticed a distaste for dealing directly with me rather than my husband. Although we were equal partners in the project, the man of our home is not a big talker and prefers to have me handle dealings with contractors. Some contractors/sales people just ignored me completely, and others treated me like I was some kind of ball-buster and would make dorky jokes like "happy wife, happy life." Whatever, dudes. This is a business dealing. Just be professional. That's all we ask. Enter Ryan from Integrity Home Improvements. He treated both of us with respect, listened to our wish list and didn't pressure us to give him our exact dollar figure for budget, and never once pushed us to sign on projects we didn't have time to think about. Even better, his quote was very competitive with the other contractors we'd interviewed (quote NOT estimate. We knew upfront what the entire project would cost with no variables). So, we chose Integrity for our kitchen remodel and extension. The entire project lasted about three months. During that time, we always felt really secure with the people coming in and out of our home. They always wore t-shirts that identified them as staff of Integrity. They always smiled and introduced themselves by name. And most importantly, every day that we returned home from work, we were impressed with the quality of work we saw in each stage of the process. At completion, we were just in love with the kitchen and extension. We got exactly what we wanted at the exact price Ryan gave us. We cannot recommend them highly enough. We have another upcoming project that we intend to hire Integrity for as soon as we've budgeted for it.

Cannot recommend for cabinetry. Couldn't get it right. Hired our own painter and cost was taken off bill. Appreciate that.
Description of Work: Kitchen cabinet refacing, new countertops (granite), installation of range hood, and painting.
We love our new kitchen. Ryan, from Integrity Home Improvements, was a dream to work with from the initial design conversations, to final bid and all the way thru to final sign off. He was especially helpful at working with us to pick the perfect granite slabs to coordinate with our cabinet, flooring and backsplash choices. Jerahmee, who oversaw the actual construction and installation work, was also great to work with. He was on site each day and kept us well informed at what was happening each day. Integrity Home Improvements used outstanding granite installers, tile guys, painter and the cabinet work is excellent. They kept a very clean operation which minimized the dust and clutter that comes with a job of this scope. We would definitely use them again on any other remodel work (we are thinking about our bathrooms as the next project) and can give them our highest recommendation..
Description of Work: Complete kitchen remodel from the ground up. This included a ~3ft extension of the kitchen to give us a bit more room, new floor, cabinets, granite counter top, recessed lighting, appliance installation....

Remodeled guest bathroom first so we would have a nice bathroom to use while they did the more major project on the master bathroom. We had a fiberglass shower, which is now tile and new cabinets, counter top, sinks and toilet. The tile we picked was not available, so Ryan brought some samples and he had chosen a good one that we liked. He's good with color. The master bathroom has a sunken shower/Jacuzzi which is now just a shower and newly tiled. We had new counter top, sinks, medicine cabinets and tile floor. Everything in that bathroom was changed except for the toilet. We now have 2 beautiful bathrooms. If the workers scratched or damaged anything, it was taken care of without a problem. The only negative is that it took much longer than anticipated, not all Integrity's fault.

The work progressed steadily and we didn't experience any unexpected, or protracted, delays.
Description of Work: This company replaced a large, outside, two-level deck in the back of our house using Trex. They demolished and hauled-away the old, rotten structure, and rebuilt the new deck beautifully. We permitted this work and they handled all of that for us. In addition, as the job progressed, the inspectors required quite a bit of extra concrete to be poured, and the company didn't charge us for that. There were several items like that the company just gave us and that made us very happy. We were/are very happy with our deck. I want to add that our neighbors, who own a house next door to us that's on the list of historic places in La Mesa, liked our job so much, they used this same company to completely redo the outside of their house, including concrete and decks, and were also happy with their work. It was a very large job, and must have been far more expensive than our double-deck replacement. I think this is a good company and would work with them again.

All four projects were started on time as scheduled. For the most part he finished on schedule. If there were some delays, it was due to unforeseen circumstances, beyond his control.
Description of Work: I first contracted with Integrity in Fall of 2009 for a master bathroom remodel. The results were excellent. I then again contracted with him the following year for an upgrade in my living room, dining room, hall way. etc. Again I was very satisfied with the improvement. In 2011 I contracted again for a patio remodeling, which was also excellent. The last contract was this past summer for a remodeling of our guest bathroom. We were again very satisfied with his work. We will most likely have him upgrade our kitchen sometimes in the future. Hiring his company for 4 home improvements is probably should speak for itself. He is dependable, timely, and does excellent work. He was always ready to accomadate us incase we changed our minds during the work. I would recommend him for anyone who wishes any home improvement.

We hired Integrity after soliciting a couple of estimates from different companies. We ended up choosing Integrity because they were the best at customizing our project around our budget. Ryan was always very direct about how certain choices would increase or decrease the cost of the job. We were originally told that the project would take about five weeks. The majority of the project was completed in the five weeks, but there were some lingering finishing issues that took it out to two months. The project started with the gutting of the kitchen -- total removal of the cabinets, sink, counter tops, appliances. On this blank canvas, they framed an extension to an existing wall in order to give us a little more room in the kitchen for a pantry. They brought in an electrician to rewire some light switches and install recessed lighting. After the new part of the wall was sheet-rocked, and the existing walls were touched up, they started installing the new cabinets. One of the new cabinets was damaged upon delivery and another was ordered in the wrong size, one of the reasons for the project running over the estimated time. The counter tops and sink were installed shortly thereafter and they re-installed our appliances. Even though the kitchen wasn't officially "done" we were able to start using the kitchen at this point, which was about four weeks in to the process. We had a full backsplash put in and the new extension of the wall was textured to match the existing wall and painted. When Ryan came in to do one of his final inspections, he noted that the texturing didn't meet his standards and he had someone come back out to re-do it. We told them that we would be willing to paint the re-texturing, and they left us a can of paint to cover the new texture. When we painted the wall, however, we noticed that they gave us the wrong paint. (The sheen was wrong.) We called and they dropped off another can, but his one was the wrong color. At this point everything else in the kitchen was done - all the doors had been leveled and such -- so it was really just these two feet of wall that was causing the hold-up on being "done". On the third try, one of their guys came out, found the right paint, painted and the wall and we could officially say we were done. There were a few times during the process that there were some communication issues, in terms of trying to figure out what time people would be coming by to work on the house. But the guys who did come out to the house were friendly and professional. They were very respectful and courteous. I never felt uneasy with having them in my home. My husband and I are completely satisfied with the workmanship that we received. We love our new kitchen!

Outstanding job overall. Ryan came over a day after I called to get an estimate and sat down with me to discuss the entire process and different options for the bathroom. He quoted a very good price and was very flexible on material acquisition. The entire job took about 2 weeks, just as he estimated. His crew was very professional and showed up each morning on time and cleaned up at the end of each day. The bathroom looks amazing after the job they did. We had an old Pacific Beach bathroom that is now completely remodeled and updated. Ryan is very easy to get ahold of through email and phone calls. Once the project started, he was very flexible if I changed my mind on something. I will absolutely use this company again, probably to remodel my kitchen.
Description of Work: Integrity remodeled my entire bathroom. Removed and replaced the tub, sink, vanity, toilet, put in new tile floor and all around the tub. Rewired entire bathroom and painted when finished.

Ryan, the principal was very helpful at suggesting the new floor, kitchen cabinets, lighting, etc. We had a total gut of the kitchen, rip out of all carpets, new wood flooring in the major rooms, new balcony tile and more. All work was highest quality, perhaps with the exception of the painter, who just didn't protect surfaces from splatter. We had an unfortunate leak from the new dishwasher unit that ruined drywall and tile in the condo unit below us. Integrity stepped right up and took care of the issue without need for our involvement with the new neighbor - and no charge to us. I know its easy to criticize but if I had a bad comment or suggestion, it was difficult to get the finishing touches done - just seemed to drag on. But that should not take away from the first class work that the company did.

16 days became more than five weeks. We ended up with a beautiful bathroom with functional and design flaws, notably a shower that sprays water out onto the bathroom floor. We had many problems and had to keep monitoring the project to make sure things were done right. There were no clear, detailed design sketches, just a quick hand sketch. Items we assumed as part of a 'complete remodel' were not done because not explicitly mentioned, like moving a light switch because of towel bars. Workers left the front door unlocked and did not lock up at night. They left construction hazards blocking the hallway, including tiles which fell over and injured me at night. Contractor did not check water volume and pressure as requested. Price rose to $17k including fixtures we bought. No new electrical switches or covers for them. There were no ledges for supplies in shower until we insisted they add them. Keith, the designer, had a strange idea that people should carry supplies to the shower each time. The first attempt at a ledge was far too small, we insisted on three additional corner ledges, not what we really wanted. There was a lack of coordination and supervision--several items had to be redone after being installed wrong. The first faucets were not high enough. We had to buy new ones, and the workers installed them wrong without the extensions at first. Keith planned the wrong size medicine cabinets, which we got changed. The workers seemed uncoordinated about how to mount them. They had to install the light bars twice. The towel bars were installed too early and in the wrong places. Great tile work, limited by design issues, like lack of shower ledges originally. We requested extra tiles for future repairs, but Integrity didn't order enough and we have only one extra. We have requested Integrity several times to fix the shower spray problem, but the only solutions they have offered are to add a door or curtain at extra cost. We explicitly specified a walk-in shower with no door, and they did not seem to be able to design one properly. I assumed the bathroom floor would slant into the shower, but the shower floor is higher. They assured us that a curb at the shower entrance would stop water but it doesn't.
Description of Work: We asked for a complete remodel of our 2nd floor second bath, including a walk-in shower with no door, a rain shower head, two sinks, a large amount of storage for three adults and occasional guests. Integrity promised to finish it in sixteen days. Original budget was $10,000; we agreed to upgrades to $14,000.

Response from Integrity Home Improvements Inc
The customer contracted with Integrity Home Improvements, Inc. for a bathroom remodel to include a walk in shower, new flooring and a double vanity. In the contract the customer agreed to pay for and provide all sinks, light bars, towel racks and fixtures. Integrity did not charge any additional amount over the contract price; these items were purchased by the customer as agreed to in the contract. Customer had total control over what amount they spent on these items. Customer wrote a letter to us on April 9, 2008 where they stated the following: "Integrity produced a beautiful, very usable bathroom for us, with most of the features we asked for. The colors are well coordinated, the tile looks gorgeous, the fixtures look great, and the sink basins are stunning. The tile man did an outstanding job on the tile, and the other workers did a good job on their tasks." "Let me preface this section by saying that most things went right, and that the problems are relatively minor. Integrity produced a beautiful bathroom for us." Integrity completed the bathroom remodel as agreed to in the contract. The scope of work and design were as agreed to per the written contract and the accompanying lay-out. The customer clearly expressed the sentiment that the addition of a double vanity and increased storage was of paramount importance. There is limited space in a bathroom. The only way to expand the shower and keep the vanity would be to eliminate the toilet, which is not a viable option. The stated 18" of spray out of the shower is stunning, given the presence of a wall to block the water. The method of showering or how the water is sprayed (there is also a hand-held shower) is not the responsibility of the contractor. Upon the customer's request, the water pressure was increased through the restrictor in the shower valve, which I am sure has impacted the amount of spray. The room was not built as a "wet-room" which would require much more space than is present, in order to achieve proper sloping. A wet-room is a much more expensive project and most of the vanity would have to be discarded, eliminating the original priority of the remodel. Many of the design issues were a moving target through the project. We would complete items as understood through the contract and drawings and discussions and the customer would make amendments after they were completed. Integrity completed all of the customer's requests, at the company's expense, many of which caused delays. As best I can tell from project receipts, the project started 2/29/08 and completed 3/26/08. That is 19 work days, relative to the 16 days stated in the agreement. In conclusion, Integrity has made many efforts, both now and during the project, to accommodate the customer's requests. Unfortunately to rebuild the room entirely and to abandon the primary intent of the remodel (additional storage, counter, and vanity space) is unreasonable and unnecessary. It is especially unnecessary when a very reasonable solution is available. Integrity has offered, and will continue to offer in the short term to pay for half of a standard shower door. This is not to admit fault, as we have fulfilled every facet of our agreement, but to once again go above and beyond to make our customer happy. Unfortunately the customer does not feel this is a reasonable solution. We have offered arbitration to our customer, as it seems that all of our conversations and written dialogue go in circles. The customer has declined our "reasonable solutions." Our desire is to do what is right. Refunding all of the money which was already spent on their "beautiful bathroom" would not be prudent, nor the right thing. We do, very much, want to resolve this dispute.

It went badly! The estimate for the job was 4-6 weeks. It took over 6 months! They turned our house into a dump even though I demanded countless times for some type of dumpster on site. They had to redo many things including tile work and painting. The owner is very nice and tries very hard to redo anything you don't like, but overall, it they just take too long for shoddy work that has to be constantly redone until it's done right.
Description of Work: They did almost a complete renovation of our house. We had the floors redone in the living room, kitchen, and 2 bedrooms. Two bathrooms were remodeled. They replaced two doors and redid our entire kitchen.
