Was able to order my refrigerator online, and communicate via phone and e-mail regarding time of arrival of fridge, and my availability. Also, 1st fridge arrived at Humphrey's damaged, so they took a pic of the damage and suggested I allow them to return it and get another one from GE. I have bought several appliances from Humphrey's Appliance over the years, my 1989 Amana 3 - door fridge came from there, as well as my dishwasher, among other appliances. They have stood behind their products and supported them years after the fact, which I have deeply appreciated. By comparison, another local appliance dealer whom I had bought an expensive large thru-the-wall air conditioner from - acted as if they could not be bothered when the knob broke off right away. I will continue to deal with Humphrey's - for my appliance needs.

OMG! I really hate doing dishes the old fashioned way...by hand. Tom Humphrey solved my problem, AND I didn't have to buy expensive parts. I called this morning and within a couple hours Tom's Team arrived. The clamps had broken free from the cabinet, the door would not close, so the dishwasher wouldn't run, and the kick plate had come loose. They repaired the door latch, allowing it to close properly, resecured the unit to the cabinet, and fastened the kick plate back in place. Then they cleaned up, turned on my dishwasher and left me happy as a mom with a clean kitchen! Thanks Tom!

I called Humphrey's appliance to ask about purchasing a new induction stove top for our kitchen. Thom was very helpful and had a good recommendation for an induction stovetop. I had already done some internet research as to brands, functions and options for different types of induction stovetops. Considering the size of the inset cut in our granite counter, we went with the GE brand induction stove top per Thom's recommendation. Thom was very concerned that we would not have the stove top for the July 4th holiday, which was not a concern for us, but it was nice that he was considerate of that. We set a date for the following week and the installer came right on schedule. The install went smoothly and the induction stove top works flawlessly. We would definitely purchase any other appliances we made need in the future from Thom Humphrey. I like to support small businesses instead of making purchases at the big box stores, considering you get better service and installation from a small business. I could have purchased an induction stove top from Ikea, for much less, however the unit would not have fit into our counter without some specialized granite cutting.

1st contact with this firm was via email and followed up via phone call. My contact was Joe Humphrey, a very knowledgeable and courteous gentleman. When I first walked into the store, family owned and operated for over 50 years, you could tell they were there to provide quality service and products at very competitive pricing. The bright lights and high pressure sales found in many chain and big box stores is replaced with a genuine desire to meet the customers needs. I was welcomed by Joe, who based on specs I had provided prior to going in, had all the information I needed when I walked through the door. He was very patient while I looked around and assisted with a zero high pressure sales attitude. I went in to buy a new stove, but also had some ideas for future purchases, so wandered around a bit. It is quite possible that both Joe and I were surprised that I also purchased the and quot;futureand quot; items. I left knowing that within a week I would have a new stove, refrigerator, range hood and microwave delivered and installed. I would not have to worry about getting rid of the old appliances as removal was included. Delivery was made today and I couldn't be happier. Not only did Joe sell the appliances to me, but he came along to work on the install and removal with Tomas, Alfonzo and Jason. All of these gentlemen were very courteous, polite and kind enough to move a bit of furniture to make it easier for all. (These were items that I could not possibly move by myself.) I didn't have to ask for assistance, they jumped right in and said they would do it. This has been without a doubt the most positive experience I have had in purchasing and receiving appliances. Color me so happy I can't stop grinning. Thanks to all at Humphrey Appliance that worked so hard to put this together for me. I would recommend this firm without reservation.

If you're reading this review you know there are a lot of options these days when it comes to shopping for a major appliance. It's hard to beat the big box chains (Best Buy, Lowe's, Home Depot) and very large appliance stores for price. But Tom and Joe Humphrey were able to offer a very competitive price plus the kind of service and support (and appreciation for the business!) that are very hard to find these days, at any price. Local family owned businesses don't survive for decades without a whole bunch of good reasons. These guys know appliances in a way you don't unless you've been involved with them your whole working life. We care about keeping our local stores around for many more years to come. As far as appliances go, it's great to know we only have to concentrate in the future on doing our homework on brand and style numbers - that the nice folks who helped us with the purchase and the service last year or four years ago will be there to help us again when we need it.
