GRJ ENTERPRISES

Our Whirlpool water heater had just stopped working (the pilot light wouldn't stay lit). We called one plumber from Angie's list who advised us to call Whirlpool since the unit was still under warranty. He also said that if we needed assistance from a local plumber, to call GRJ (since this gentleman didn't work on water heaters). The story is long and involved and involved calls to Whirlpool and Sears etc. etc. The bottom line is that we decided to try and do the work locally because it would be faster (and I have real issues with Sears and didn't want to work with them). Over several days we made several calls to GRJ who spent a lot of time on the phone helping us troubleshoot our problem and even helping us try to make the repair ourselves! Ultimately what was required exceeded our ability and then GRJ came out that same morning. The problem was quickly diagnosed, repaired and the technician showed us how to avoid having the same problems in the future. I cannot say enough about these people. I have never worked with a company who was so helpful, when they didn't need to be, and they were so patient - all without any expectation of getting our work. I don't know if the price was high or not (plumbing bills of any kind are always a bit of a shock to the system) but if you count all the time we talked on the phone, it was certainly a bargain. I don't think these are the people you call when you need a line snaked, but this seems to be the kind of company you call when you have something that requires thought and skill. I hope I never need them but if I do, I will call them first!
