Green electric solutions overcharge for crappy work. Pictures speak a thousands words. 7 holes in dry wall for one outlet. Another 7 for a ceiling fan. I feel everything the quoted is over priced, but $4,800 for two usb outlets is criminal. Christian had the audacity to try to take advantage of my parents and try to pit them against my brother when he noticed the unprofessional work. Distasteful, disrespectful and downright wrong. 2 stars on BBB.
Description of Work: Christian installed an outlet and a ceiling fan with wall switch at my parents house.

Ignacio Herrera and assistant replaced our old insufficient fluorescent kitchen light with multi LED can lighting and we could not be happier. The difference is literally night and day. They we extremely professional and efficient, and the work was completed in the time frame he gave us at the consult. They covered everything prior to starting and when they left the whole work area was spotless. He also added a dimmer switch, which only enhances the functionality. Their price was very reasonable and we are now looking forward to having the lighting replaced in the bathrooms and hope that we'll be able to work with Ignacio again.

It went great. There was an additional charge. It ended up being about $800. Initially, we had to have a come to Jesus with him. Because he was being so rude, we actually told him to get out. We told him to leave, at first. Then, he went, "Well, wait a minute. Let's start over. I didn't mean to be rude." He was just very high on himself. He was just being a jerk. But then, once he knocked it down a few levels and we had a come to Jesus with him, he was pretty good. He did a good job.
Description of Work: We purchased a big deal from them. We couldn't get a breaker to come back on. While he was here, we had him put a dedicated line for an electric dryer.

The guys were on time and did the inspection. For the price, it was a great deal. But, I had to schedule things over the phone because my schedule was tight, and there was some hassle regarding the Angies list deal because of the way I scheduled it. The inspection went ok, and they answered my questions about future upgrades I had planned. However, it all seemed a bit off the cuff and I didn't really trust what they had to say. Their quotes for some future work seemed to be on the high side. I wouldn't go with these guys for future work.

Terrible. This is how it went. 1. Purchased a Angie's deal $40 for $80 worth of electrical services. 2. Got an appointment for the Electrician to come on Friday (7/17/2015) from 8:30 Am - to 10:30 AM. Problems: a. Nobody called me on Friday to verify the person was coming. b. I got slightly concern (but it was minor because it was sill before 10:00 and oversight happens). I called the company at 10:00 inquiring why nobody called me and if the electrician was on his way. -Was told by a man that he had called me at 8:00 AM (WRONG). I had my phone on me the whole in the morning. -Was told that he was coming. (So I waited) c. Waited until 10:30 AM - Called again (same man answered). Said that Somebody was coming and that he will be there in within 30 minutes. Told him that I work and I schedule only the morning off (he told that he give discount if other additional work has to be performed) d. Waited until 11:00 -took initiative and called again. (Was put on hold for a few minutes). Then told that he was on electrician ("Manny /Manuel) was on his way in a few minutes away. (and that he just got notified and he was coming from South Bay) f. Waited until 11:15. Talked to "Manuel" and he was close and and a few minutes away (still) g. I waited until 11:40: I called "Manuel" back and said don't bother coming. I left. Manuel said that he was a few blocks away and that he will give me a discount he got here. This deal was a total joke. 1. Bad customer service. Nobody ever called me on Friday. I had to take the initiative. 2. Not a word of apology for (1) Not calling me (2) Not coming on time (3) Making me wait (4). After the cancellation of the appointment - no call back. The nerve of them of say that will give me a discount "good deal" if additional work needed to be done (over the$40 Angie's coupon I purchased). 1. Why would I even consider having you do any work for me - when a. not professional enough to come on time. b. not professional enough to call c. lying to me - because when I talked to "Manny/Manuel" at 11:00, he told he was just notified to come to my place. (Service was from 8:30 to 10:30). d. If I didn't call, I would have I would still be waiting. I am in the process of (1) calling my credit and dispute this charge - because I never received any product/services for my purchase (2) making a complaint with the BBB. This is the worse experience I've ever had!!! "F" rating = Lousy, which is great way of describing this company and the service (or lack of service they provide).

Bait and switch deal! Talked on the phone about a simple electrical problem that would take 5-10 minutes to fix. They said it would be no charge. I had $40 tip in hand ready anyways. They come out, and tell me it will be $2,000 to investigate! How can they people sleep at night? They fraudsters should not be listed on Angie's List. Do not trust.

The electrician came over that same day, inserted a test plug into the outlet, and wrote me an invoice which I could then present to the buyer. Extremely fast, extremely easy, but not worth $90. No complaints other than the price, but I can't make a recommendation based on their technical expertise, only their response time (which was great) and their pricing (which was high). I would probably only use this vendor again if a larger discount was available. The $80 of service for $40 discount was just good enough for this very small job, but it probably would not be worth it for a larger scale project.
Description of Work: They certified an outdoor GFCI outlet that I installed myself was safe and working properly. I had to have this done to remove contingency on the sale of my condo. In my opinion this was an extremely high price to pay for an inspection that took literally 30 seconds to perform, but the Angie's List discount made it our best option, as the net cost to us was only $50 which was lower than other quotes we had received, though this company's quote was the highest without the discount.

Due to the unprofessional manner in which the company rep acted, I declined to let his company abscond with my hard-earned money.
Description of Work: The project was to install a solar PV system that I purchased from another company. The person that came to my home was not very professional at all. He made several subtle, derogatory comments while we discussed my project (mostly "you don't know anything" type of comments). The price he originally quoted was $18,700 without verifying any of the materials I had already purchased for the job. When I told him to give me a better quote, based on the materials I had on-hand, he was reluctant and wanted me to sign a contract on the spot. He sent another employee to my home to inventory my materials, and then he came back with a price of $13,500. When I asked him to break down the costs for labor, parts, engineering, and fees, he refused and sent me an anecdote that made no sense. Overall, he was not a professional employee and I am surprised that he is allowed to make customer visits to discuss projects. I decided not to do business with the company. As seen in the response from the company rep, you can tell that this company does not employ professionals. I completed the solar installation on my own and hired an electrician to make the connectionsx. I have a Bachelors of Science from the United States Military Academy, so I can state that I am no idiot. The company rep treated me as though I was an idiot, so that is the primary reason why I declined his generous offer to take my money. Total project cost came to $14,000. Well below what this company quoted me to install my system.

This customer is completely ignorant - he bought an on line solar roof package and had no understanding that it was not complete and engineering plans had to be drawn up and permits pulled. Its sad that some one like this who is uneducated with solar design would give us a bad review. I would never want to do work for this type of client anyways.

Deals included in the special claimed it included new ceiling fan installation but when they showed up we were told they wanted 185$ to put in a new 75$ ceiling fan. Since that was the only thing we needed help with, the employee left and the company ended up pocketing our 40$ for zero work done. Thank you Green Electric Solutions. We did not even get an email confirmation so that we could pursue a refund.

Ramiro called the day before our appointment. We discussed my main concern which was fixing the two florescent light fixtures in the garage. I told him that I thought they needed to have new ballasts (based on a previous visit by an electrician) or maybe even new fixtures since they were old. I explained that I really needed to have them fixed at the time of his visit so wanted to be sure we were on the same page there and that he would be prepared to fix them. He understood and he was also able to give me a good idea of what time he would be coming the next day. He showed up right on time (even a couple of minutes early). He assessed the situation and indicated that he did have the ballasts. He gave me a quote of $165 for parts and labor (I have no idea if this is a fair amount or not but it was okay for me). He started the work but realized he needed a few small parts. He left for a little bit to get the parts but returned soon and completed the work. The lights work great and we are no longer in the dark in the garage. We then went out to assess and to discuss my second electrical issue which was the deterioration of my electric meter box. He looked at the situation and offered a different solution from others who have seen it. He seemed to understand my concerns and communicated well about the estimated cost and time needed to refurbish the meter box. I was pleased with his punctuality, responsiveness, and professionalism.

When the company came out, the representative explained that there were additional cost associated with replacing the ceiling fan that was already there. The cost to replace was over $200 less the $40 the final cost for me was appx. $160. This was not stated in the advertisement therefore I did not use their services and would like a refund.

The advertisement clearly states that the coupon is for $80.00 worth of services for $40.00. It's common sense if the project cost more than $40.00 than the customer needs to pay the difference. Just because they bought a deal does not mean we are going to do what ever the job entails for $40.00. Customer for some reason in their mind thought we would perform any task for $40.00. I don't understand why they would think that.

The guy came out the same day. He tried to sell me “an iceberg” – a ridiculous amount for just changing an outlet - but when I showed him the Big Deal he said he’d honor that. They meant well but it was unfortunate that they had only one technician that could do this service. It was a hassle to get a refund (they were unable to do the refund, I had to fill out a refund request with Angie's List and wait over a week) for the funds to be returned. UPDATE: Yes, I paid Angie's List for your coupon to install an attic fan so funds were paid by me (I never claimed to have paid you directly). The service was offered by you on Angie's List but you could not actually do the service. This wasted my time and forced me to seek a refund from Angie's List (painful process). That's what I would call unethical -

This was a horrible experience. Although the technician completed the tasks as described in the Angie's List's deal and fixed our kitchen light switch, we experienced a lot of issues. Disclaimer: I was not home during the visit but spoke to the technician on the phone. My wife was the only person home during the visit. The technician arrived on time but had no idea about Angie's List deal. When he was told that our kitchen light switch was broken, he proceeded to flip on both kitchen light switch. One was broken, as we indicated, but the other light switch operated a light outside the house. We had disassembled the outside light to replace the fixture. Without asking about the lights for the second switch, the technician immediately quoted a price of $100 to repair both lights. When my wife told him that the second switch wasn't broken, he quoted the same $100 to repair one light switch. When my wife asked why it was the same price for one or two light switches, he told her that it was $50 for parts and $50 for labor, not really answering her question. He then showed my wife an invoice and said that this type of job usually costs $600 and that this was a good deal. This was when my wife called me to ask about the details of the Angie's List deal. I spoke with her and then spoke with the technician on the phone. I asked why he was charging us labor when the deal included 1hr of labor for repairs. I also asked why the light switch costs us $50 (I later found the part for $0.78 on Home Depot). The technician informed me that it would take him time to buy the part and that was why he was charging us $50. I told him about the deal we had purchased and that this did not make any sense to me. Feeling that he was trying to rip us off, I told him to leave me his supervisor's number and asked him to leave the house; we would not be needing his services. My wife informed me that after this, he went outside and made a phone call. He returned a few minutes later and offered to fix the light switch and inspect the house without any charge. He proceeded to fix the light switch in 10 mins (he had the right part with him and did not need to go buy it somewhere else) and inspected the house. My wife confirmed that he did go around the house to inspect the outlets and the fuse box outside, however, at this point, we have no faith in his inspection work. I could understand if the technician was not aware of the deal that I had purchased (although still very unprofessional) and was going to charge us for the work. However, charging us $50 for a part that costs $0.78 and $50 for 10 min of work seems exorbitant. In addition, the fact that he wanted to repair a light switch without confirming that it was broken really made us suspicious about everything he said. Although the kitchen light switch is fixed, we would definitely not recommend this company to anyone.

We have had constant problems with our electrical and finally had a plug-in "blow up" with fire and everything in the box melted in to a black googy mess. I called Green Electric Solutions from Angies List and they sent a man out in about 2 hours to diagnose the problem. It turned out that only some of the plug-ins were pigtailed and not properly. The breaker boxes were from a company that had gone out of business in 1980 and been sued ever since for selling dangerous equipment and lying about info about it. They can cause fires! Previous electricians had not told us that! Federal Pacific Electric C. is the responsible company. You can read about them on the internet. The 3 men who came out were wonderful...worked very hard without even taking time to eat...were very nice and friendly. Two if them came back the second day to finish. I know it seems very expensive but I have absolute confidence that the work was necessary and repaired properly. I am sleeping better now that I know I am not going to burn up.

We had been putting of going solar for a few years, it was time, no more excuses. Green Electric showed up how we will save now and in the future it was a no brainer. Great, my wife was concerned about how they would look, but they were able to place them so they are on the side, flush on the roof. We are very pleased. Our neighbors had them a while back with Green Electric and they showed me how much they have been saving and how much the are expected to save as SDG&E costs rise. We had to either no longer use our air conditioner and heater or get solar, due to rising costs. Our bill was out of control.
