Gold Coast is a very professional organization. They responded quickly to our request for an estimate and scheduled the work shortly after we chose them. They were on time for each visit and even left the equipment to dry out our subfloor an extra day without extra cost. Mike, Mike and the rest of the team were very professional in every way. The bonus for me was that the cost they quoted and charged me was less than other contractors I had contacted. I chose them mostly based on the Angie's list reviews and I am very glad I did.

They were great. They were really helpful in figuring out where our moisture issues were coming from. Despite being a relatively small job for them, they spent a lot of time on the phone with us and really helped us out with great service. I highly recommend them!

Mike Thomas and his team arrived promptly and assessed the situation. They were focused, professional, and quickly cleaned up the damage. They removed and replaced damaged drywall, removed attic insulation that was damaged, and prepared the site for restoration. There were several team members that came to my home during the 5-day process; all were very professional. I'm keeping their business card should I need this type of service ever again!

They were polite and very professional. They asked if there were any other areas that I would like them to check. Turns out I had nothing to worry about and they didnt charge me for the inspection.

This was an emergency flooding that occurred just before the 4th of July long weekend. We were leaving the next day for a 50th Anniversary cruise with all of our children and grandchildren. In the last minutes of packing our suitcases....a waterfall came down from our top floor laundry room through our dining room chandelier!!! Needless to say, I immediately went to Angie's list for advice. Since GoldCoast had many good reviews, I called them...even though they were quite a distance from my house. I was in a panic. Even though it was late in the day and everyone would be off soon for the holiday weekend, they came to help. They couldn't have been better. David came out and started the fans, counseled me to start a claim with my insurance, and began the water damage detection. He gave me the reassurance that I needed that day. They came back a few days later (while we were was cruising) to begin cutting through the walls and ceiling where the house needed further dry out. We had to trust them with our house for the three weeks we were gone! When we arrived back home, the areas they worked on were completely covered with plastic and dust controlled. They had moved all the furniture, china cabinet (no damage to all my things) and had left references to who could help me with the restoration. A perfect job.....in my estimation. I had to completely trust this company to do what they promised to do while I was away. I can't thank them enough for coming to my rescue!

These guys are wonderful on all levels. I called Gold Coast and spoke with Joe. I immediately got a good honest vibe from him by the way he honestly answered all of my questions. I had no prior experience with filing a home owners insurance claim and he even answered questions about that. I hired Gold Coast on the spot and they did a great job. Got in the next day and put in their drying equipment. Five days later everything was dry and they recommended to me a company to put everything back together. The crew was extremely professional and the communication was great for the duration of the job. I have to give a special shout-out to Mike at the Gold Coast office. He has been helping me deal with a flood services issue completely beyond the scope of his job or even Gold Coast's responsibility towards me. He has taken time out of his work day to share with me his knowledge as an industry expert. and has been in constant contact throughout the duration of the issue. When you're in a hurry to get GOOD PEOPLE in to get your house/business dry, do yourself a favor and hire these guys and sleep good at night knowing you're not going to be ripped-off! I hope I never have another flood but if I do I will not hesitate to call Gold Coast.

Came immediately when called. The technician, David, was professional and really understood how best to solve my problem. He provided good advice, a couple of alternative solutions and carefully explained what would be involved. All services were performed on time and as promised and for the cost quoted. Gold Coast was recommended by my plumber who I have worked with for years and really trust so i thought I would be in good hands and I wasn't disappointed. I would definitely recommend them.

The inspection went very well and, thanks to both Joe's expert knowledge and total honesty, we were relieved to learn that while there are some surface stains, there is no moisture inside the walls or immediate health danger. Joe Colombo explained that the relative humidity of the air in the bedroom and house is too high (about 50-60 degrees) and that we should alleviate the excess moisture by opening windows or using fans more to provide proper ventilation, and to not hang clothes or stack boxes tightly right up against the wall, and also leave the closet door partially open. He said all that was needed is to do a surface cleaning wipe-down with water mixed with a very little bleach and some dish washing detergent. Then he instructed me to dry out the wall using a fan, and afterward paint the exterior wall with a mildewcide primer and paint. If we follow those steps, he said we should be fine. He did NOT use any false scare tactic or try to talk us into hiring the company to do unnecessary extensive and expensive remediation and repair. I paid a $95.00 fee thanks to an Angie's List discount offer, which I felt was reasonable due to the distance he had to come and for the expertise and peace of mind which he provided. Thanks, Joe! If I were to have a more serious problem in the future, I would not hesitate to hire Gold Coast Flood Restorations.

I have had a hot water slab leak in my first floor kitchen underground and my home insurance company has strongly pushed me to hire a company they introduced once we turn to the stage of water mitigation. I have decided to go with gold coast flood restorations based on the following facts: 1) Gold Coast flood restorations has very good review here and they are very responsive to the comments from Angies list members. 2) I have talked to Joe on the phone and he is very understandable to the issues and how to handle the tricky relationship with the insurance adjusters. 3) They come to my house quickly to do the initial inspection and based on their plan of treatment, I feel they put the home owner?s interests in the first place and judge the necessity of the follow-up treatments with professionalism. The whole process has been carried out smoothly and they followed the procedures required by my insurance company to tear off the toekicks of my kitchen cabinets firstly, measure the moisture level and then set up fans and dehumidifiers to dry the internal out. The real tricky part comes from whether the set of cabinets has to be removed to dry the drywalls on its back out. Joe and his team insist on tearing it off while they won?t do recovery but I need to find another contractor to do the work, but my insurance company does not want to touch it since it cost too much for recovery. At the end my insurance company hired another water mitigation company to give them the second opinion and go with the treatment. Obviously my insurance company involves too much in the whole process and they seem not buy in with Gold Coast?s water mitigation plan so there is a lot of arguments along the way. I am quite confident with the whole plan Gold Coast proposed but I can?t control what to do since the insurance company certainly won?t pay anything they don?t approve. From this project with Gold Coast, I really appreciate Joe?s patience and understandable to my role as insured but some of his team members may consider how to communicate with the insurance company efficiently so as to reach the win-win situation.

They were excellent and were referred to me by a friend. They were honest and knew what they were doing. They came in with blowers and meters. They said that if walls had not been removed that mildew would have grown inside the walls because blowers do not dry the inside of the walls. They came in, checked on things, followed up and were very attentive. They are professional, accommodating and have good communication with the client because they call to check to make sure we are happy. They have people that check on the blowers. Every day people were over here checking to make sure everything was okay. They went over and beyond and helped move some furniture out of the way. When they left they asked me if there was anything else they could do. They are very compassionate and understanding about the situation when it comes to a home being damaged.

The big deal service from Gold Coast Flood Restorations was really good. They were prompt. They did what they said they were going to do. They didn't charge me extra.

I was very satisfied with them. I felt that their price was a good value and their service was prompt and efficient. I was expecting that the service would cost me more but I have not had a lot of experience with that sort of thing. The quality of their work was fine but I could give them a more accurate review if they performed more work. They came out right away. They are a small company. I could not do the installation of my countertop until they completed the inspection and they were prompt. They were also right on time.

It was fine. They accepted my insurance so it was good. They were very professional and very quick.

First a caveat - "restoration" means "returned to a dry state" - it does not mean repairs to walls, floors or any other damage! An upstairs shower faucet developed a slow leak and let a large amount of water run down the wall joists and into the dining room ceiling. When it started dripping, I immediately had a plumber come find and fix the issue. However, this left with walls and ceilings that were soaked with water. Gold Coast Flood Restoration was incredibly professional from start to finish of the dry-out process. They were always available by phone to explain the status of activities. They coordinated their work crews to deal with my tenant schedules and minimized their impact at the work site. They also took care of all the insurance billing activities and honored the Angie's Big Deal. They made a stressful experience relatively hassle-free. The only real negative was that they did a poor job in cutting straight lines in the ceilings and aligning them with the joists - causing some issues with the follow-up drywall repair. Other than that, they were a pleasure to work with.

I did not do business with the vendor.

Although we had a minor disaster on our hands, the guys from Gold Coast were quick, professional, and made us feel at ease with the process by explaining everything in detail. They were such nice people too, which was the most important thing for us - having people you don't know work in your house is so much less stressful when you feel comfortable with the folks who show up at your door. The technicians arrived on time and were very professional. They checked all the walls where water might be an issue in my daughters room as well as the master bathroom and laundry room. They did a good job explaining to me what they were looking for and where there could be issues. Fortunately, moisture was not an issue in her room, the master bathroom or laundry room. I was very happy with their service and would definitely recommend them to a friend and use them again should I need their services. Thanks guys! :)

We suspected we had moisture in an exterior wall, so we purchased the Big Deal to see if our concerns were correct. We were right. Not only was there moisture, but a massive amount of mold had started growing behind the wall. After the inspection they called and gave us an estimate and said they could start the next day. We decided to go ahead with the remediation (I have asthma and my dog has COPD), so it was important to get it done. They estimated that it was a fairly small job and would be fixed in appx. 5 days, but once they got in there they realized there was more mold then they anticipated. The job took 9 days, but my wood frame looks almost new. After they cleaned the mold, they had an independent company come in and test the indoor air to make sure air was clean and free of any airborne particles...we PASSED!!! Important note: they do NOT replace the drywall. You must call and pay a separate company to do this. By the way- Shout out to Pat, he's AWESOME!

They came out, did the job and offered assistance. It was an very good experience overall. I would consider using these guys in the future.

We contacted Gold Coast after the many positive reviews through Angie's List and a coupon that was offered to inspect mold. We had some water damage cause by a neighbor and wanted to have a professional mold remediation company inspect the walls. Gold Coast contacted me within an hour of purchasing the coupon. We then talked on the phone the same day at length and they were very thorough explaining what would be done, how it would be done and how much it would be in addition to the coupon which only covered a visual inspection. We discussed tentative dates/times and Gold Coast agreed to call me to confirm in a few days. They called as they said they would confirmed. The two technicians that arrived for the appointment were professional, detail-oriented, careful with the property and very, very thorough. While we will not be needing Gold Coast for any cleanup, I would recommend them to anyone who is looking a professional team to handle mold inspection and remediation.

I called Gold Coast and no longer than 25 minutes did they arrive. They also brought a plumber to assess any possible plumbing issues. They at first drained the water from the dishwasher and then pulled it from the kitchen to assess the water damage. Gold Coast noted some water dense areas in the dry wall and side wood cabinets, but could not trace any wet areas on the floor around (was thankfully honest about this). Gold Coast was able to set up machinery (fans) right away and cut small holes in the dry wall to ensure complete dryness and restoration. Prior to leaving, Gold Cost wiped down the floor and made sure the kitchen looked as though they were never there (even wiped any foot prints of theirs on the wood floor). I could believe how respectful and nice they were about it all!! They were very kind and explained what they found thoroughly. Gold Coast came back 2 days later to remove the fan and re-assess the wet areas and noted all areas dry and ready to be restored back to normal. I was able to quickly communicate with the business department to figure out the finances. They were able to give me such a reasonable price! To top it off, the plumber they brought with them was able to diagnose my malfunctioning dishwasher. I couldn't be more happy and satisfied with Gold Coast and their top-notch expertise in the flood restoration business, in addition to their trusting and caring nature. I would recommend them to family, friends, and neighbors. I will be sure to have them back if there is another flood issue. Thank you a million Gold Coast!

Gold Coast Restorations was recommended to me by a trustworthy plumbing company to assess major water damage and mold in my kitchen wall (behind large kitchen cabinets). With this recommendation came intense feelings of fear and dread as I was/am a first time home owner who had just moved into my condo a month prior. Thankfully, Gold Coast recognized my state of distress and was able to patiently and respectfully guide me along the restoration and remediation process. I had such an excellent experience with Gold Coast as they had genuine care and concern for the situation I was in. From the water damage assessment, to the removal of the dry wall and cabinets, to the explanation of the mold remediation, Gold Coast was respectful to not only my kitchen, but to the surrounding areas of my home. They always made sure to leave my place as clean as they had found it, and never left any trash or belongs behind (you know how some contractors leave soda bottles, wrappers, etc.?)....Gold Coast treated my place as if it were their own. I always felt comfortable with leaving a key so they could work while I was out of the house. I also never hesitated to call with any questions or concerns that arose along the way. However, the majority of the time it was Gold Coast contacting me to keep the communication lines open and inquire whether I understood what was happening and if I was satisfied with the work. Gold Coast removed all the damaged and mold infested dry wall, insulation, and cabinets, dried out any areas that could be salvaged, and treated the mold with proper contamination measures, and ensured proper air quality and remediation when finished. Another ease was Gold Coast setting up the third-party air quality control test; one less step I had to worry about. Additionally, Gold Coast was able to move my heavy kitchen appliances out of the way and do so without making the slightest mark or scratch on my wood floor. They showed respect for my home, and for that, I am extremely satisfied. In addition to the quality of workmanship, professionalism, trustworthiness, and respect I received from Gold Coast, I also accepted their guidance and support around reimbursement from my homeowners insurance. They provided me with the proper documentation to help make my claim, and encouraged me to follow through with appropriate payment from them. I can't say enough about the outstanding work of Gold Coast. Gold Coast was prompt to arrive at my home to assess the water damage from a leaky pipe in my garage ceiling. With professionalism and integrity that I have come to trust, Gold Coast explained the situation while clearly showing me the water damaged areas (including insulation) and explained why they would need to bring fans in to dry surrounding areas (prevent mold or cause additional damage). Gold Coast was honest and respectful and presented as genuinely interested in supporting me with filing a claim with my insurance company. They took the time to listen to my concerns with the damage and expressed empathy for my situation. Gold Coast was clean and never left a mess; they were mindful to not leave dust around the areas they worked in. When I took the wallpaper off the walls of our downstairs bathroom, I found what appeared to be mold. I called Gold Coast, they came out and verified that it was mold. They were able to begin work to remedy the problem that day. They returned in a couple of days and completed the treatment after the area had dried out. They were very easy to work with and seemed to know what they were doing.
