Gold Coast is stellar. We needed very quick and thorough work on a water damage and mold remediation project in our condo. Joe, Mike and their team exceeded every expectation we had. Their quick responsiveness, understanding of our time constraints, explanation of the work process, reasonable pricing, and friendly attitude made Gold Coast stand out from other groups. We really needed a service we could trust and one that would do an excellent job and Gold Coast certainly came through. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Are there any honest people left.....ABSOLUTELY. I have been worried for months about a mold problem in my bathroom and have been reluctant to call anyone as I was prepared for a big problem. Called Gold Coast, they came out, thoroughly reviewed the entire bathroom and told me the issue was not mold and gave me suggestions on what to do. I was so surprised. They were very informative and professional. Amazing people!

This is an amazing company. They handled everything from the beginning. We had a slab leak, discovered during a plumbing inspection. When the leak was detected, they came in with enormous drying machinery, as well as coordinating mold testing. They moved furniture, packed out cabinets and prepared to tear out old floor. They organized all subcontractors (a company to move the piano for example). When the furniture was moved (and neatly put away with plastic covering), floor demolished, lead testing done and abated, they cleaned up everything. It isn't that other companies wouldn't do the same work. This company, though, provides peace of mind. When I needed clarification, they were a quick email away. When something went wrong (plumbing mishap) they sent someone out right away. They knew all the right businesses to assist with this project. They know the business, have some excellent connections, and are skilled in providing services in a timely and professional manner.

When the sewer backed up and destroyed both my bathrooms I was completely overwhelmed. Gold Coast, who came highly recommended by Black Mountain plumbing, showed up immediately. Pat and Mike who were my initial contacts, held my hand throughout this devastating experience. Gold Coast performed the work seamlessly. They were so wonderful that I felt comfortable leaving them to their job even when I wasn't home. Pat and Mike guided me through the process in telling me what to expect next. I was shown the readings of contamination and other things and Pat took the time to explain stuff to me that I didn't understand regarding the situation.They were so patient with me in educating me regarding what they were doing that it set my mind at ease so I would not be so stressed out. I can't say enough good things about the job performed and the men who helped me so graciously in my time of need. I would urge anyone reading this review to call Gold Coast without reservation. They're a bunch of good guys whom I now consider friends. I would call them again in a heartbeat if I were ever to need their services again.....which I hope will never be the case. The point is that I now know I have a trusted resource to rely upon and I can sleep better at night because of it.

The team of 3 arrived 15 minutes early, were all very professional and courteous yet friendly and open to any questions. They explained exactly what they were going to accomplish, were extremely thorough in their inspections, brought up any significant issues immediately, and were wonderful to interact with. It did take two days after the inspection before the final report was provided, but it was explained that they had an unusually large amount of inspections to process. I wholeheartedly recommend their services and would definitely utilize them in the future for all my mold issues.

Technicians Mike and Eric arrived on time and were very professional in their assessment of the affected area. They determined there was no mold or need for remediation and made recommendations as to any repairs we might wish to make. There was no charge. We were extremely satisfied with their honesty and professionalism, and strongly recommend Gold Coast to anyone in need of the service they provide.

During a light remodel when the kitchen sink and counter-top were removed, I noticed that on the wall next to the sink, where the cabinet had also been removed, there were a few grey spots that suggested mold. After calling a number given to me and receiving an absurd estimate from another company, I read Angie's List reviews and was impressed by Angie's customers comments on the Gold Coast Flood & Mold Specialists. I called them and from the very beginning, on the phone with Pat to the visit by Mike and Matt, the service was outstanding. On the phone I thought Pat was really listening to what I was describing and without any problems he scheduled a visit for the next day. The workers Matt and Mike were on time and presented with a professional demeanor and friendly manner. They took a reasonable amount of time to carefully look at the problem, then used various instruments to measure moisture inside the walls, took pictures of the spots, and explained simply and clearly that the visible surface growth was just that, and that no moisture was found inside the wall. Finally, they recommended surface wipe down with soap, no bleach, and the application of a particular sealer and primer. The cost for the visit $ 75.00 rather than the $1,205.70 from the other company who had recommended tearing everything down, pulling out the cabinets, breaking the wall, and re-plaster.....It's clear to me that the folks at the Gold Coast are serious about what they do and do not find problems where there aren't, just to make an ill-gained profit. I am sure that if they believed there was a serious mold problem they would have recommended the proper remedy. I hope I won't need to use mold solutions in the future, but if I did, I would definitely hire the Gold Coast Flood & Mold Specialists.

I was very pleased with the knowledge and responsiveness of everyone that I dealt with at Gold Coast. I called needing advice regarding how to test the air quality in our home and to make arrangements for any necessary remediation. They put me in touch with a company who came and tested the air in my home 2 days after my call. Once the report was complete they came out right away to investigate an area that had leaked behind our washing machine. It turned out that the area contained no mold, and no further remediation was necessary. I was working on a very tight timeframe, as I needed to have this done prior to bringing my husband home from the hospital. Everyone that I dealt with was professional and knowledgable. I would highly recommend this company.

Gold Coast did an excellent job. I called and asked for an estimate. They came out the next day. Even though the fire was in the garage they check in the kitchen and attic for damage. Others that came to give an estimate did not.

This review is long overdue, but well-deserved. For over a year, I've been staring at a water stain (approx 3-4 feet long) on my ceiling caused by a leaking shower door in the upstairs master bathroom. My husband and I have since stopped using that shower altogether to avoid it spreading, but we were never sure whether there was still moisture in the drywall or whether we had mold growing where the stain was. Additionally, our water heater had been replaced about 6months to 1 year ago, and at the time we noticed some water stains around the area where it sat in our garage. To be quite honest, we've always been intimidated by the potential tearing out of drywall and the cost associated with fixing any moisture issues. So we let everything just be until recently. Enter Angie's List -- I read the reviews and decided to give Gold Coast a call. From the get-go, Mike was very friendly and professional. He gave me his opinion and suggested they perform a no-cost inspection for signs of mold/moisture. He advised that if need be, they could cut into the drywall to assess in more detail. We set up an appointment and a couple of days later, two of their service professionals came into our home to have a look. They were very friendly and helpful, and were glad to answer all of our "what if" questions (what if we have to tear up the drywall, what if there are plumbing issues, how much does that usually cost). Thankfully, they found no traces of moisture in either the ceiling or the area around the water heater, and advised that all we really need is some paint if the stain is bothersome. Phew! I asked whether they would be able to perform the entire process of replacing the drywall if we decided to do so, and they said they could and the cost wouldn't be much, however if they came across any plumbing issues they would recommend the team at Black Mountain Plumbing (another company I had read rave reviews for) to come in and do a good job for us in that department. I felt reassured about the situation not only because nothing had to be fixed in the end, but also because I got the impression that I could trust these guys to do a quality and honest job for me in the future if need be. If we ever have any issues with water damage again I will definitely be calling Gold Coast.

The service was excellent. The technician explained what I could do to rectify the situation. He provided suggestions on how to take care of the mildew and how to prevent it in the future. He also looked around the house to ensure there were no other problems.

I have no complaints with the service. We were very satisfied and everything went very smoothly. They were timely and very pleasant to work with.

These guys were great! The main worker, David, was very professional and always concerned that I knew what was going on. He cared about getting the job done right, and always answered any questions I had with great detail. All of the workers that were her, and they were here everyday for 2 weeks, were wonderful. All were very punctual and professional. I highly recommend them for ANY water damage you may have. They are wonderful!! The owner, Joe, is extremely interactive in the whole process too. I hope we don't have another flood, but I wouldn't blink to call them again if need be.

Pat and his crew put down paper to keep floors clean and closed off work areas with plastic to keep dust etc contained. When they came back to pick up their equipment they did an excellent clean up . The whole job was handled very professionally.
