 + -1 moreThis company provided one lie after another. First they told us they do all their own work....they subcontracted the major construction, the electrical and plumbing. They began by taking a hammer to the soffit tearing it down and then discovering they couldn't do the planned cabinets and charged us to reconstruct what the screwed up. It became apparent that they had money problems because they didn't order the cabinets until after they started renovation. They lied about that. The so called project manager Rob was a total jerk, he marched into our home own his cell phone and put his hand to my face to silence me when I talked. The company heard my complaint and told me that they had fired him. Another lie. We later found out that they had not paid their subcontractor in a timely manner. The project took a month longer then they promised. The work was not at all top quality and cost us at least $20,000 more then expected, they always had a reason to add more to the bill.

 + -1 moreThe work went in many stages with gaps of many days. Workers did a fair job of cleaning up, but I ended up with a lot of fine dust over the rest of the house. Workers often came late in the day or on Saturdays leading me to believe my job was not a priority. Workmanship was generally OK. The granite work is very good and elegant. The two small shelves came out very nice. Tile floor is good. One problem was that I was without a kitchen sink for three weeks and had to wash dishes in the bathroom.
Description of Work: Work consisted removing a wall entering my kitchen and adding a granite bar in its place. Also the floor was redone with ceramic tile. The other existing Formica counter tops were removed and replaced with granite. A new sink and fixtures were added. A wall with open studs which was a doorway into the kitchen was covered and two small recessed shelves were added. In addition to the contract price I spent $486.43 for two lamps, a sink, and sink faucet which we agreed I would select myself.

 + -1 moreMY HOUSE LOOKS BEAUTIFUL NOW THAT THEY ARE DONE. WHEN WE DID THE WALK THROUGH IN ADVANCE OF THE JOB, THEY MADE PROMISES THAT THEY DIDN'T END UP KEEPING. PROMISED TO COME BACK OUT AND FOLLOW UP ON SOME ITEMS, BUT THEY NEVER DID COME BACK. ONLY GAVE ONE COAT ON THE EXTERIOR DOOR & SOME BORDER AREAS. MOST OF THE WORK WAS DONE QUITE WELL THOUGH.

 + -1 morePOOR COMMUNICATION. DISORGANIZED. WORKERS DID NOT SHOW UP AT SCHEDULED TIMES. POOR WORKMANSHIP. REPAIRS AND COMPLAINTS WERE NOT RESPONDED TO IN A TIMELY MANNER. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.
Description of Work: I PURCHASED A CONDO. GOLD COAST DESIGN HANDLED THE RENOVATION.
