GILMORE PLUMBING

I discovered puddle on master bedroom floor near door to master bath the morning after a heavy rain storm. Called Wendell at Gilmore Plumbing. He arrived promptly on a Saturday afternoon. After an exhaustive search, the source of the water was not found. After 3 hours of searching for a possible roof leak as well as cutting open 2 inspection holes in drywall at vanity in bathroom, he still could not determine where the leak was. He recommended I call my insurance company and reluctantly left. ServePro was recommended by the insurance company and they proceeded to rip out large holes in the walls, ripped up carpet, bathroom vinyl flooring, and ceiling and wall drywall in room beneath master bedroom where water had migrated. Three days later, walls and floors were thoroughly dried out using dehumidifiers and blowers. Next morning, the leak reappeared inside the now opened wall between bath and bedroom. I called Gilmore Plumbing back and Wendell was able to find the leak inside one of the studs in the wall where the copper pipe passed through the stud and where a nail penetrated the pipe but remained in the hole, creating a plug. Eventually the nail rusted away, leaving a small hole in the pipe. Wendell was able to replace a small section of the copper piping and also repaired the trap under one of the vanity sinks. For the time, a Saturday call, a return call and extensive searching, even in the attic over the bathroom area, his charge was very fair and reasonable. Above all, the leak was finally repaired.
