The technician made a few comments based on observations of ducting and furnace condition, then checked AC functionality and found some back-pressure discrepancies that he couldn't resolve or fully explain. He couldn't come up with a remedy or other explanation for the discrepant readings, even though he called for help (more experienced personnel with the company?). Ultimately, the AC is functioning adequately, as it was prior to his inspection, but he was unable to get consistent readings on his gear and was unable to explain why. We left it with the "if it ain't broke..." since this was just an inspection call. I'm satisfied that our AC and furnace is functioning properly and has no immediate maintenance or repair needs.

The work was performed at our rental property. Jason was on time, professional and very knowledgeable. The visit went very well.

The service went well. They did exactly what the deal stated and also disconnected the heater. The technicians showed up on time, they were efficient and did a good job. Scheduling was very easy and I plan on using the company again.

Jason arrived early. Checked air conditioners. Found both needed new filters. Advised me were to obtain them. Did outstanding job and even educated me on some of the finer points of air conditioning upkeep. One thing I should mention is that I paid for only one air conditioning inspection when the deal appeared on Angie's list. Later when I. advised them that I had two, they charged me the same low price for the other one.

Jason from GGR arrived at our home around mid-day. He was courteous, professional, pleasant, and obviously knew how to work on the air conditioning system. When entering the house he wore coverings on his shoes. After he checked the unit it became apparent that freon was needed, and he was able to provide this. He filled the unit, rechecked to be sure the temperatures were in the proper range, and provided some advice as to future maintenance. It went well. We haven’t used the air conditioner yet, but we were pleased with their work. They charged $36 for a coolant fill.

Jason told me that it is time for a new heater & a/c unit. It is over 30 years old. I knew that but I just wanted to get more coolant put in. I wasn't willing to pay that high of a price for the coolant if I just have to buy a new unit soon. Jason said that he would email me estimates on a new unit.

The got it right and were professional in service and follow-up

It took a couple of contacts to get my appointment setup, but that was purely due to the recent heat waves in San Diego, and I'm sure the wildfires didnt make things easier as well. Jason came out to service air conditioning units. he was early, provided excellent service, and helped educate me on using our air conditioning more efficiently. Great service through Angie's list

The service turned out very well. They did exactly what the deal stated. They were happy to answer some questions I had. The technician who came out was knowledgeable and friendly. Scheduling was very easy.

Jason showed up on time, in a company truck, professionally dressed and with a great customer service attitude. He wore the boot slip on protectors whenever he was in the house, which was appreciate (we have white carpets). He knew his stuff and preformed all work without a hitch. I asked him about other services outside of the $49 HVAC tune up, which he was able to answer. I feel comfortable recommending their services to other Angie's List members.

With the approach of summer and high temperatures I purchased Yelp Deal for a GGR air conditioning (AC) tune-up. Based upon prior stellar customer service I requested technician Jason, if he was available. Sure enough, on scheduled day of service I received a call from Jason who offered me an earlier time slot if it would work for me, or we could stay with scheduled 1230pm appointment. The earlier time helped my schedule and the house also benefited as outdoor temperatures would reach upper 90s. Jason arrived promptly and immediately got to work assessing the AC operation. He noted AC refrigerant was low, quoted a fair price to add refrigerant (I approved), got all necessary equipment and promptly got the old AC unit operating like new. I cannot say enough good things about Jason and GGR Energy - how nice to have a reliable service company!

Tech called and stated he was available early. This worked out fine. He arrived and was polite and professional. Performed service on two A/C units. One unit required approx. 1.3 pounds of coolant. Units now performing better.

2 weeks later it broke and now we are paying $1500 for a new unit. He took some Freon out and let us know this. Since we have an older model, this made the compressor collapse by over working. The pressure was keeping it stable. I need someone who knows what to do and what NOT to do. I have been told by a couple experts. If its working fine, leave it alone.

Contractor did a very thorough job and I was very impressed. He really had the patience to explain every step of the process. I would highly recommend this company and the home energy audit they provide. We did not have any additional work performed, because the audit determined that we did not really need anything and/or there wasn't anything they could have recommended that was cost effective.

The service was great. I spent more than the Big Deal because it has been four years since it was serviced, and I had to have more refrigerant added. I paid $49 for the Big Deal plus the extra of $89. They seemed fine to me. He spent an hour here, went over everything, and explained what he had done. I will definitely use them again. He got to me in three days. He was early. He seemed very knowledgeable, did a good job, and explained what he was doing.

Great. Kyle, the representative, was very nice. He took his time to answer all of our questions and was very knowledgeable.

The technician was clean, pleasant, and efficient. He Checked the filter inside the home and checked the working condition of the air conditioning unit on the roof. He installed insulation on a pipe and discussed the feasability of replacement, recommending we keep the current (1974) unit until there is a major problem with it. Due to its age he suggested we would be better off replacing the unit for a modern (and much more efficient unit) rather than spend money on MAJOR repairs to the old unit. We were extremely pleased with the service.

Christian came over for the first estimate. He inspired me confidence and even though the price was higher than the competition, I went with them. They did not disappoint. Work began on time and finished on time. Greg was the project manager. He was very friendly, knowledgeable about all the various disciplines needed for the project. It involved opening up a wall, rerouting gas and electric, adding brackets to mount a countertop, building a frame for the skylight, flashing the roof, drywall installation, etc, etc Tony was also on site most of the time. He took care of the framing work and was very nice. At the end of the project, the countertop plans were relatively undefined. Christian and Greg did everything possible to accomodate the fact, and we even ended up revising the contract since I went with somebody else for the countertop (wood countertop specialist). Overall, great experience. I will definitely work with them again in the future. Thanks guys!

GGR Energy were excellent. I asked for additional services which was replacing some parts on top of the big deal. They were very professional and timely. They called me beforehand, the day before, they called me right before the appointment itself. They were prompt in servicing, the guy probably spent two or three hours and are working on just servicing initially the furnace and then we both came to the conclusion that there was a certain part that was better, I supposed replaced based on the age of the furnace. I will absolutely use them again.

They came out, did the work for the Big Deal we purchased, and then gave us an estimate for the additional work we need done. We were pleased with the work. The man that came out was very nice and polite.

We were introduced to GGR by Remodel Works for a kitchen and bathroom renovation we recently completed (see separate review for Remodel). Through all stages of the construction, GGR was professional prompt and fair in their pricing. Every GGR employee we encountered was friendly, hardworking and professional. They met every deadline they put in their schedule. The project manager was very friendly and easy to deal with. He was constantly available to handle any change requests or recommend a different contractor for a task when we though we were encountering a surprise that was costly (namely a plumber that saved us over a $1000 as compared to the recommendation of a different plumber). Even though GGR was not asked to get in to any design work, they showed some good choices when tasked with making us a new mantle. There, they took the initiative to note some of furniture as it moved in and match some of it with a reclaimed wood mantle. It still has the functionality we were after (removable so we can add and remove wires) and makes our fairly ghetto looking 60's fireplace look downright cool. My only complaint with GGR was in some of the finer details of the drywall mudding and basic finishing (door hardware and some leveling issues). While I understand their perspective of it not being within their scope, I would have appreciated the initiative to insure that was completed properly. Nevertheless, we recommended them highly to my brother who is doing a large reno and plan to use them again when we build our deck someday (soon?).
