First, let me start by explaining that I am a construction defect lawyer. Needless to say, I am quite picky when it comes to the quality of work and the level of trust I have when selecting a contractor. We recently purchased a new home and wanted to completely remodel the kitchen prior to moving in. I first called Sergi on Fourth of July weekend and he called me back immediately and scheduled an appointment the same day (Saturday of the holiday weekend) because we explained we were in a hurry. Sergi was on-time and very professional. I explained to him the rush we were in, as we didn't want to move into the home until the work was done, which meant we needed him to start within 2-weeks. That was not a problem. Sergi had some great ideas on how to change the layout and was able to get the cabinets ordered on time. It took about a week to get the bid back from him (which is typical) and it was incredibly reasonable in terms of cost. We liked Sergi and his company so much, we didn't even bother getting another estimate. Sergi ended up starting our project 2-days earlier than anticipated, which was great for us. He had the same 3-man crew each and everyday who were very professional and did great work. Our project was completed on time in only 2-weeks. I actually think the project would have been completed early, but Sergi had to wait for the granite installers who had a scheduling issue. (We hired the granite people directly--not Sergi) We had a couple minor glitches along the way. As soon as I would bring it to Sergi's attention, it was either already fixed because he caught it, or it was done by the next time I came to the house. I never heard any complaints or explanations, it was just fixed (like a cabinet going in the wrong spot...nothing major at all). His crew worked hard and did a great job keeping things clean. Even though we didn't live in the house while the work was being done, they cleaned up everyday and put all their tools away every night anyway. They also went way above and beyond the scope of our contract several times. Part of the work included extending an exposed wall out and the contract indicated we would be responsible for the paint, but his guys went ahead and painted the wall to match with the paint we had leftover free of charge!! We also had pendent lights put in and 2 of the lights came out of the box wrong from Home Depot (we supplied the lights) and when I told Sergi we had to go replace the lights, he swapped them out free of charge with no complaints. He also adjusted them for me several times when I couldn't make up my mind about the height. He also added a small section of drywall behind a window, even though we never discussed adding drywall in that spot. Sergi was incredibly responsive. He responded to all my text messages, emails and phone calls almost immediately. He even responded to me on nights and weekends. During the course of the project, I always felt like we were in constant communication about everything. Needless to say, Europe Construction far exceeded my expectations. They got a complete kitchen remodel done for $18,000 (no flooring or granite) in 2-weeks and did an absolutely amazing job. I intend to use them for all my future remodeling projects.

The quote was pretty detailed, though we both overlooked including lighting over the new kitchen counter in the price. The cost was fair; we got a few quotes and they were all about the same. Sergiy was up front about everything, and generally easy to work with. He was very responsive to emails (my communication of choice) and willing to get everything permitted and by the book (which is a huge pain in the a**, but what we wanted). Other people from whom we got quotes were not. The window is perfect and the new counter is beautiful, too. The work is exactly what we wanted and our house looks amazing. Things got fixed when we asked for them to be fixed. There were a couple small glitches/miscommunications, that just resulted in a few extra days going by without stucco getting done, a few inspector notices left on our door because no one was here to let the inspector in, and an extra outlet in our wall (no big deal, at all)- the other couple little things were fixed promptly and with no argument. And the cost was what we agreed upon, other than $ for a different kind of granite counter (custom, rather than pre-fab), which Sergiy had been very up front about, and for the lighting stuff we had both forgotten to include in the quote. The only substantial delays were caused by the inspection process, not the contractors. My only real complaint had to do with some damage done to a sliding fence they opened to get their truck into our yard; not a huge deal, either, but it would have required a lot of brute force to force the thing open and create the gouge that's now there. So whoever did it had to have realized it was happening. Sergiy's response to this, unlike everything else, was basically that it's was minor and that if that's the biggest complaint we had with a contractor we were pretty d*** lucky. He's probably right, but that's not the response you want when you have to ask someone about damage to your property. Overall, I'm a bit unhappy about the fence, but I would hire them again if I needed something done. I've heard horror stories about contractors, and you'll never have that kind of experience with Europe. Overall they are easy to work with, extremely responsive, and the work is certainly professionally done. We'll repaint the fence and barely notice the gouge; the beautiful kitchen and window we'll look at and be pleased with daily for 20 years.

I put in a request for what I am looking to do on Europes Website. Sergiy replied the very next day. With in a week he came and did a walk through and provided a bid. He like all contractors was gunning for my kitchen remodel. But I have lots of smaller projects I want done first. Sergiy was not as interested to work with me on those though he sounded like he could do them well. Anyway as I said we did not use Serigy and as of yet I have not done the work.
