Description of Work: Flooring throughout the house. Pressure sales but couldn't get the guy to return a single call after the work was done. There is an area in my master bedroom that has insufficient subfloor. They came back but never fixed it. I paid in full up front, with a check that they cashed prior to starting work, yet they showed up unannounced at 8:00 the following Saturday to "collect payment." The money had been taken out of my account the same day they started the work, so I refused to pay them twice. I have tried to no avail to obtain a receipt (besides my cancelled check) for appraisal purposes but no luck there either. I give up. It's been over a year now. I will not only NOT recommend Empire to anyone, I will never use them again for anything. The crew was great but did not speak English and I do not speak Spanish. Very frustrating and overpriced.

Description of Work: Carpeted entire house, upstairs, downstairs, removed furniture and moved it all back. They carpeted the stairs and inside each closet.

Description of Work: I decided not to use this company. I had called and arranged an appointment for an estimate. This company was timely and did set up an appointment for the next day. However, after reading reports about them on the internet I had concerns about their installers, so I cancelled. The next day, after I had cancelled the appointment, a representative called me and tried to get me to make another appointment. She was rather persistent; however, I declined and explained why. She then offerred me a $100 savings if I would book another appointment today....I hung up. So this is just a warning that you will probably receive a hard sell if you contact them
