+ -1 moreThe staff were friendly and seemed knowledgeable. However we specifically asked that they let us know when they were coming so we could protect our two small dogs, (from escaping the yard as well as exposure to chemicals). They did not call to let us know when they were coming and the gate was left ajar. Fortunately the dogs did not push it open but we are still concerned about lack of follow through with our request for notification of visit. The spiders seem to get much worse after their visits so eventually I requested cancellation of service in writing. After that they again treated without notification and left a bill. When contacting the office they did assist with cancellation of service but charged me $28 to do that (apparetntly per contract).
Description of Work: Spraying for spiders, cockroaches, silverfish fleas and ticks and other household bugs to the interior and exterior of home. After initial treatment the services were outside only.

I would tell other folks to check out Ecola for services. They were pretty responsive. I am considering using them in the future for termite control.

Depending on the service agent that does the work it varies. I do have a favorite person that I wish would come but sometimes its hit, and miss. I will continue to use their services.

+ -1 moreThey use natural products. They don't use poisons that could be harmful to pets. That's why we use them. I need to call them. I have a slip from them. They usually send a slip saying it's time to schedule which is great. Here's my reminder notice. They are very good. When I have to have them back for something, they come back. I will use them in the future. They do a good job for me and I'm very pleased with them.
Description of Work: I've been using Ecola Termite & Pest Management 3 years or maybe more. They were out about 2 months ago. I pay them when they come out. I think it's $75. I can't remember.

+ -1 moreThe reason I like this company is because they use chemicals around the foundation on the outside of the house and they put small holes on the foundation in the inside of the house and fill them with foam. They did their job correctly, and though the termites came up again this year, it was in very small form and it was in a location that was difficult for them to treat last year, so I don't know if they were able to get into that little void or not. They came out to take care of the problem again this year and there hasn't been a second siting of termites yet. They have a good warranty period and it was no problem getting them to come back. It was a 3 year warranty on the original work.
Description of Work: They came for a return visit for a termite treatment recently, but there was no charge for the second visit.

+ -1 moreWas not thrilled with the mess that was left in the garage, previous materials from a new roof that was on the rafters rained down when they sprayed. So there was more of a mess than expected, not really their fault, just unexpected. They rinsed the garage floor after spraying. So make sure your garage is clean top to bottom and easily covered with a few plastic tarps. And if you already show termite damage I would insist on a non-topical treatment be included.
Description of Work: I have an attached home and the association does not have authority to have tenting done. So if all eight home do not agree to do it at the same time you have to do what you can that effects only your unit. With that said: I was able to make an appointment easily, the gentleman who came out was on time, polite, clean, and gave me a quote. The gentlemen who came out were on time and clean for the work done in the house. The garage left much more of a mess than expected. The borax spray/drenching of the inside of the garage left more of a mess than expected and termite droppings were back in the same places two months later. Unfortunately with my schedule I was unable to have them come back out to evaluate and do further treatment to correct the problem. I was two years ago and I am unable to find my receipt, so the price is an estimate. I lowered the score for quality because it did not work as well as the orange oil that had been used in the past. But I did not contact them to give them the chance to fix the problem.

+ -1 moreOriginally used this company approx 18 months ago for termite infestations in garage, family room and kitchen areas. They injected eco friendly termite product. Signed 2 year contract. Have had them back at least 4 times for "touch ups" . Have also called them in on several other occasions when we noticed termite droppings. Technicians told us the droppings were normal post treatment. Termites were never eradicated. They continue to deny live termites are present but we now have termites in 3 additional areas and having a different company tent our home. Company difficult to deal with. Phone staff rude. Technician missed 2 appointments. Cannot recommend company since problem is significantly worse post treatment and company personnel are rude.

Description of Work: Pest control service sprayed both inside and outside our home with an organic pest spray. We wanted a company that did not use poisonous sprays as we have a dog and have allergies too. The man who sprayed was very pleasant and professional; also he explained the products used. We had no problem with the spray and it eliminated the bugs. We also signed up for a regular service.

+ -1 moreMark the inspector was excellent! Informative and helpful. He schedule the treatment for me before he left. Due to a funeral I had to call and reschedule and they were very accommodating, especially since I called on a Saturday! The two gentlemen who did the work were very pleasant, friendly, helpful, they explained treatments and what to do after the fact, such as don't run the air conditioner for a couple of hours. Although there is not much of a smell it was better to let it dissipate before running the AC. I was told the entire treatment for the amount of work to be done would take 3-4 hours and it took just a tad over three hours. The wonderful thing besides having a treatment that would continue to kill termites and prevent re-infestation was they did more work than the orange oil company had and they were about $400 less expensive!
Description of Work: My attached Townhome can not be fumigated so they used direct wood injections, foam and spray borate treatments. The attic was spot injected and foamed and then all the raw wood was sprayed down, the same process occurred in the garage for the exception of the foam. They drilled in and foamed the wood above and below a window that had been previously treated with orange oil by another company many years ago. I was not suspicious of that area but Mark the inspector was, good thing they looked it was heavily infested. They also injected a front porch post and multiple eves around the three free sides of the structure, which required second story work. They filled all holes where they had to drill After spraying down the garage they washed it out and clean up.

+ -1 moreI contacted Ecola after extensively researching non-toxic and more environmentally friendly termite control. Ecola is one of the few companies to offer heat treatment (which heats an area to kill termites), microwave, electro-gun, and non-toxic borate based termite control. James came out for an estimate shortly after I called. He did a full inspection and made some recommendations on what treatments to try in particular areas. I scheduled the appointment and James and another Ecola employee came out as scheduled to do the work. The heat treatment took most of the day (I was warned it would take that long), but it sure beats tenting the house and pumping toxic gas into it as far as I am concerned. The crew was efficient, professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. I just had the work done last week, but no signs of termite activity so far.
Description of Work: Exterminated termites. Heat treated one room, injected Boracare in two termite infested sites and sprayed attic with Boracare for termite prevention.

Description of Work: Applied Boracare treatment to exposed lumber in new construction. This is a borax mineral treatment that is eco-friendly which is what we wanted. Also trenched & applied treatment for subterranean termites as part of annual contract.
