 + -1 moreI was very pleased from beginning to end. I cant recall his name but I thought 4 hours was going to be needed to install the motion light in front of my house. He had to run a wire from inside my garage to the outside through stucco. Then install the light. Once that was done he noticed I had a 220 outlet sitting in my garage and asked if he was installing that as well. I said that wasn't the plan but if you have time I would love for you to install it. He knew he was going to have to get parts if I wanted it installed but he offered to do it for parts and the trip only. So overall I was very happy with the whole experience. He knows what he is doing and does not just try and get a job done but takes his time to do things right and precise. Anyone looking for an electrician I would definitely use Dwelling Electric. I have used two other electricians that got good ratings off of Angie's list and he is by far the best.
Description of Work: I needed a motion light wired and installed on the front of my house. I also needed a 220 outlet installed in my garage for a welder.

 + 1 moreThis company is a great service provider. Although I had to wait for a month to get an appointment, it was well worth it. Jeff arrived promptly and we discussed what my needs were. His rates were very fair and his work was flawless. I am new to the area and needed a good electrician...so I turned to Angie's list and hit a home-run on my first try...Dwelling Electric gets the job done!
Description of Work: He installed 4 ceiling fans (actually 5 since we only found out after installation that the first one was defective). He also mounted my 60" HDTV for me on my bedroom wall. When the need arises, which I know it will, I will be certain to call Dwelling again in a heartbeat!

 + -1 moreOur new house has some slightly funky electrical issues, so we wanted someone to come give things a looking over and repair some of the more obvious glitches. An Angie's List deal was offered for this company, so we bought it to give them a try. Jeff was very responsive when we called to set up an appointment and arrived right on time. He spent the 4 hours we paid for working through our list and even had time to get to some additional things, and his charges for the extra materials he provided for some of the tasks were very reasonable. He and my husband also had fun talking about how electricity actually works. We'd definitely use him again.

 + -1 moreJeff did such a fantastic job. He was thorough, efficient, and prompt. His pricing was very fair and reasonable. We have an old house and needed to increase the amps available for a new cook top. He was very open with his communication and answered any questions or concerns I had in a way that I could easily understand. He worked patiently with me to find a solution that worked best and now we have a perfectly functioning cook top. When he finished, he patched up the wall so it looked as good as new and left the area of the garage he was working in much cleaner than it was before he started. I have already requested him to do additional electrical work in our house.
Description of Work: Jeff replaced 4 interior light fixtures, 1 dimmer, and ran a new 40 amp circuit for a new cooktop, which required him to install new wiring up from under the house and install new circuit breaker.

He is really honest and he kinda just like no BS kind of guy I mean he was just really upfront about everything he was doing and he was very conscientious also. He came up pretty quickly.
Description of Work: We used Dwelling Electric for the $89 big deal. Their guy came out and installed the ceiling fans for me but it was kinda hard because my house is really old. It was built like 1915 so there were a lot of extra little things he had to do and it work out really, really good.

 + 0 moreHe was a little late but he did good work. I was hoping to get some bathroom fans put in but I didn't have the right ventilation. So instead I had him fix the lighting in my daughters room. He actually recommended putting in a new light fixture which makes more sense in the long run. He also put one in my son's room as well. He didn't put in the actual light fixture because my wife didn't like the ceiling fans we bought. So we will have him come out to finish that and some other work as well. Does good work.

Dwelling Electric was awesome from the first phone call. They set me up with an appointment that worked for my schedule; the electrician arrived on time; he completely explained my options before working and told me the pros and cons whenever I had to make a choice; he did a great job; his work space was organized; and he cleaned up after himself promptly. I will use them again. I am happy to have found my electrician!

He answered my questions thoroughly and explained the recessed lights that come with the deal on Angie's List can't be used in the kitchen due to some code. He provided the cost for the upgraded lights up front, so there were no surprises. He was able to do the job the very next week. He called that morning to let me know the status of his arrival, and call 30 minutes before he came. He was a very friendly person to deal with, and was extremely patient as I changed my mind multiple times about the placement of the lights. He covered my floor and removed all debris after the job was done. I'm very satisfied with the work he did!
Description of Work: I purchased the deal advertised on Angie's List of 6 recessed light for $599.00. I ended up having to upgrade the lights for an additional $210.00 and paid to have the drywall in the ceiling patched from the removal of previous light for $35.00.

Description of Work: I had a backlog of undone electrical work. I had two ceiling fans that needed installation, as well as a dining room chandelier and a few wall sockets that needed replacing. That's a lot of work for 4 hours, but it all got accomplished. Since some of the work was sockets that needed replacing, there was a small additional cost, but the cost was not out of line. I had a few more things that needed work, but I had him tell me what he thought he could accomplish in the four hours and I had already prioritized what I wanted, so we were both happy. I will have him come again--great guy and very professional.

Description of Work: I contacted Jeff for help with an outlet problem in our kitchen. He squeezed us into his schedule, showed up late in the day when I'm sure he was exhausted & really just wanted to go home. It ended up being a minor problem & an education for us, but he was very patient & explained what was what. He fixed a GFI outlet for us & was on his way. Description of Work: Jeff added two extra circuits to our den so we wouldn't continue to blow the circuit breaker when we used our window A/C. Jeff opened a hole in our den ceiling and ran two new cables into our attic above our den and ran them through our attic to the other side above our circuit breaker box and added two new breakers to supply more power sources with designated circuits for our high amperage equipment. Now everything works perfect and our lights don't dim when our microwave comes on.

 + 0 moreEverything about this job rates at least an A+. Jeff has to be the most professional and accommodating contractor I've ever dealt with. He was quick to get back to us every time there was a question or concern. He even dug the trench for the gas pipe himself so the plumber could save a little on his bill and didn't add anything to his own bill. He spent all the time needed to explain everything he was doing and provided a detailed explanation of the function and operation of the generator when he was finished. I would absolutely not hesitate to use (or recommend) Jeff for any electrical needs in the future.
Description of Work: Installed a whole house generator. The job included purchase and installation of the generator, installation of and rewiring to an electrical panel, and connection to an existing natural gas line.

A true professional! He;s great! trickly circuit switch in the box just needed to be reset.) Dwelling Electric could have really ripped me off and done a service call -- instead he helped me over the phone and the problem was instantly solved. The companty has my electrical business for life!!! I highly recommend him and would defihnitely use him again.
