 + -1 moreJeff and Rudy showed up right on time. He had me walk through the workshop and point out what I wanted done. He also pointed out several unsafe situations he said he would take care of. Both of them got to work right away and got my workshop up to speed with installing work lights, correcting the unsafe wiring situations and new light sockets. He was very clear with what he intended to do accomplish during the time I had him on site. The last item on my list ran over the time allotment by a little bit. He explained why and asked for my ok to complete the job. I said sure since he and Rudy had done such a great job hanging lights, fixing broken sockets and rewiring in several areas. I'm asking him back to do more work inside my house since I was so satisfied with his work and pricing. A good experience all around.
Description of Work: Jeff corrected and improved the lighting and electrical plugs in my workshop.

 + -1 moreHe installed a kitchen light and then crawled in the ceiling cavity to connect the wiring. Our roof is low and full of loose-batt insulation. Furthermore it was dark up there so working up there is no joke. This part of the job was done in an hour. The light in the laundry room and the exterior light were not working for some reason. Since they didn't light up (still) with new bulbs, he had to find the source of the power. This involved opening switches and outlets to find the loose connection. He found it after 30 minutes. Afterwards, our outlets outside the house were checked. A couple were not up to code - and also not connected to the main panel. So it was OK.
Description of Work: He installed a ceiling light, fixed a loose connection and checked the outlets outside the house.

They did take lunch while they sent me to the Home Depot for the two additional fans and additional parts, but they were great about writing down exactly what they needed so that I could just show it to a Home Depot clerk and get everything. It worked like a charm. We decided that I should go to the store because I needed to choose the ceiling fans I wanted. They did find out that all three of my ceiling fans were simply installed right through the ceiling, and were not installed properly with a pancake base. So they reinstalled one, and then installed the two new ceiling fans properly. I was very pleased with their work, and they were very easy going, and not intimidating at all.
Description of Work: He and his assistant were my electricians for the day. They checked whatever I wanted them to check, trouble shooting light switches, light fixtures, and replaced/installed 2 ceiling fans. They also removed a light bulb that was broken off at the base inside a small bathroom light fixture. And they didn't have to, but also installed for me 3 carbon monoxide/smoke detectors in each bedroom.

 + -1 moreIt took almost as long to call for the appointment as it has taken me to write this review. I apologize to all, especially Jeff at Dwelling. We made the appointment and Jeff came out as planned and did a great job. He was able to install all the alarms and had time to also move a light switch for us. He took care to keep the areas where he worked clean, did the job with a minimum of mess and cleaned up what after completion. Very professional and personable young man.
Description of Work: We needed some hardwired smoke and CO alarms installed and had some other electrical needs so we purchased the up to 4 hours of electrical work for $199.00 deal for Dwelling Electrical.

All the work was done was completed on the same day without any issue. I appreciated the extra time he spent walking me thru the various layouts that would be possible in the area I wanted the lights installed. All in all, it was good value for the money I spent.
Description of Work: Installed 6 recessed flood lights in the living room with a dimmer switch. Paid to upgrade the standard lights to dimable LED lights.

I put his name on my refrigerator so that I could give him a call when I need anything because he just seemed very knowledgeable and easy to get along with and communicate with. I also had him do something extra when he came out so I think that he charged me another $100 for that.

 + 1 moreWe got off to a very slow start because when you buy a coupon the service provider becomes very fully booked! Jeff was absolutely honest and up front during the entire service time. He called to let me know exactly when he would be arriving and he was on time. We arranged dates for his time to survey the work, the first part - installing the bathroom fans and then a second visit to install the bathroom fan. 3 visits in all. The coupon was for 4 hours of labor. Jeff did not include the visit to establish the work required and the materials needed. He is very knowledgeable and he really helped me with my decisions about what I needed doing. He only included the actual hours he spent installing the fans - no travel time, talking time, shopping time! The work I asked him to do was not straight forward as the bathroom fans were the originals from 1960s and the ceiling fan in the bedroom was from scratch. Never-the-less he performed a beautiful job on all three and I am very happy with the appearance and operation of all. I will most certainly use Jeff again and recommend that you do too.

Worked neatly and efficiently - explained what he was doing and why -- when he left, only sign he had been there was the new sockets and switches, so good clean up as well. Have already recommended him to friends; will be calling him again (for full price work) shortly.

 + 0 morePersonable young man running his own business all alone. He was clean, worked quickly and professionally and cleaned up his mess after each job. Only negative is he had to travel over an hour and he phoned me at 6:40 AM to tell me he is on his way. He initially set the app for 8-10 AM and I was hoping it would be closer to 10 AM as we are both retired and not early risers. He arrived promptly at 8:00AM which is as early as I want it to be.
Description of Work: Installed 2 outdoor electrical outlets as well as hooking up the carbon dioxide monitors inside.

 + 1 moreJeff got right back to me after my first call to his company and told me he was booked until September but after learning what my job was for the $199/3 hour deal, he said he thought he could fit me in between other bigger jobs, and did. I was very impressed with this young man as he was very professional, personable and knowledgeable. He finished everything in great time and did an extra job for us of installing a ceiling fan, that was not included in the time-frame deal, at a very reasonable rate. We couldn't recommend him more highly and will definitely use his services again when anything electrical comes up. He did a great job.
Description of Work: Jeff from Dwelling Electric took down old and hung 3 new lights for me in vaulted stairway and vaulted dining room, as well as installed a ceiling fan.

 + -1 moreWe scheduled the work about month ahead. He showed up on time and complete the work that day. I had moved items away form the sockets to provide easy access (as he requested) and provided a plan showing the locations of all the outlets. We notified him that we wanted 4 GFI outlets also installed. My husband suggested that he install an additional outlet in the kitchen. My husband was very happy with the work and would have him come out to do any further work.
Description of Work: I purchased an Angie's deal to replace up to 20 outlets which he did. He also installed 5 GFI sockets in addition to the 20 outlets. He also installed a face plate that had to be trimeed to fit the socket and avoid the decorative trim (that was not part of the original work list). He did an excellent job.

I went to local hardware store while he did some preliminary work in the garage. After I came back with the parts he ran the conduit and added the outlets. The work was top notch.  + -1 moreJeff from Dwell is puncture and professional. He installed a chandelier in our master bath and change a light from regular bulk to LED. It took him about 2 hours to do all the job. very fast and efficient. But he could not change our original wrong wiring of switches b/w Fan and Light buttons. And he forgot to switch another bathroom lighting. Other than that, he is good. But I am not sure if the deal is good since I paid for 4 hours and the whole job took about 2.5 hours including trying to correct the wrong wiring.. Overall, I will recommend this electrician.
