It was strange because he hired a different person after that and he jumped up the cost of the service from $50.00 an hour to $100.00 an hour for the two electricians. We would not call him back again. The work was really good but we just could not afford that price. He was very nice to work with and he even came on a Saturday to fit us in.
Description of Work: This was a Big Deal for $399.00 for an electrician for a day. He split up the time over a few days. He did some electrical re-work in the garage. He ran an electrical line for a TV in the living room.

 + -1 moreRudy was the technician that was sent to me. He was very polite and responsible. He had very accurate estimates about how long the work would take to complete. He was also very honest and offered ways to cut costs. His work was amazing. He had to cut the ceiling in several places to install the fans. He put the pieces of drywall back in place so all that needed to be done was to patch the ceiling and paint it. His work was efficient and of the highest quality. If I could give them A+++. I would. Please don't hesitate to hire this company
Description of Work: Put in two ceiling fans where the was no prior electric outlet,. Installed two lights so. Repaired and outlet. Installed an under cabinet light in my kitchen. Installed two outlets outside my front door the cords could not be reached.

 + -1 moreI had 3 tasks planned for the 4 hrs. But 2 of the jobs could not be performed for lack of appropriate equipment. The man who did the job arrived promptly, was very professional. The problem that I have with them is that they are way over-booked. I purchased this deal on 9/2/13. They couldn't do the work until Oct. And I called two or three times before they called me back to set the time.|I still have a remaining credit for 3 hours of time. But I have to buy additional equipment and then wait again. Haven't decided whether to bother. They did a good job on the outlet that they repaired.|I think it's risky to order by blocks of time when you don't know what it will take to fix a problem.

Appreciated that he took a look at our full wish list and worked with us to figure out what we could accomplish in the timeframe and which projects would be the best use of our dollars. (We are on a tight budget and needed to hold to the coupon amount). We settled on the two most complicated projects and Rudy did an excellent job troubleshooting what ended up being complicated puzzles. He stuck with it until resolution and now our beautiful lights work perfectly and we are relieved to know that all the wiring is safe and to code. We would work with Dwelling Electric without hesitation again!
Description of Work: Investigated various electrical problems, diagnosed and determined how to correct. Ended up having to rewire improperly installed/non-compliant electrical discovered while trying to complete the original project (hook up four puck lights where only wires existed).

 + -1 moreHe is good. I had a problem with the electrical box and he came out twice. The wiring was all screwed up in the switches. Some switches were working and some switches were not. Everything works perfectly. It was amazing. I shouldn't have waited as long as I did. He setup on time. He said that it was going to take about five hours. He was actually done under five hours which was good. There were some complicated problems and he just fixed them out. I was really impressed with him. He knew what he was doing and he is really good at what he did. If needed, I would absolutely have him back out.
Description of Work: We have used Dwelling Electric. He completely rewired all the switches in the house to make them work. The also fixed the electrical box.

 + -1 moreThe office called us and told us they would arrive between 12:30 and 2 pm. Arrived at 1:30 pm. Explained all that the job would involve after climbing in the attic and checking out the area. He gave us pricing for 2, 4 and 6 hours and estimated the job would take 4 hours. He reviewed the contract with us, provided insurance details and then gave me a shopping list of the items required to complete the job. The job took slightly less than 4 hours. Dwelling Electric was very professional, timely in arrival, cleaned up after completion. When buying the range at a well known store, the salesmen told me it would probably cost upward of $500-probably closer to $1000 for electrical to be run. But the whole purpose of changing appliances was to change from gas to electric...Total labor $199 and I paid $270 for supplies which $240 was for the 6-3 romex. Would use them again in a heartbeat and would recommend to all my friends!
Description of Work: Ran 220 wiring from breaker box over 100' to the area where the new electric stove was to be installed. Work was completed in estimated time.

 + -1 moreCall to make appointment during the holidays. Appointment was set for 1/2. I received a call prior to inform of the arrival time for the arrival time - nice. Upon arrival, we discussed about what I want to do. Afterward, recommendations were given to we proceed with the job. The job was done within the estimated time. The work area was cleaned up and everything as it should be. The clock for the service did not start until we agree on the scope of work. The price was very fair and I could not be happier.

Description of Work: Installed two 120 volt, 20 amp dedicated lines from the breaker box to a rear bedroom and to the patio. Romex lines and junction box installed in the garage. Installation of conduit pipe and junction boxes installed from the garage to the bedroom and patio cover in exposed wet areas. old breakers replaced with new ones in the breaker box. New outlet installed in the bedroom for a dry heat sauna and one in the patio for a hot tub. Also a light fixture and switch installed in the patio. City Electrical building permit inspection satisfactorily passed on 12/20/2013.

Description of Work: Lost power to outdoor shed and sprinkler system. They found it was a popped switch that I had no idea was there. Pushed button, tested, all good. Installed power outlet in master bedroom ceiling and mounted cathedral ceiling TV mount and installed 40 inch TV to mount.

 + -1 more4 hours of electrical work. Their work was excellent - they installed a ceiling fan and performed some other electrical work around our new home. My only issue is that when I ordered the big deal it was early September and they could not come out to do the work until Mid October. I would have liked to known that there was going to be that long a delay before I ordered so I could have made a choice if I wanted to wait that long for the work to be done. For that reason I am giving them a B overall.

However...if you appreciate timeliness, reasonable rates, professional attitudes, and expert electricians... LOOK NO FURTHER!!!! There's a reason you have to book these guys a couple months in advance... And I can assure you all... They're worth the wait!! Jeff and Rudy were consummate professionals. They were flexible with my ever changing vision of what I was looking for. All my budget expectations were exceeded and they were upfront with everything I needed to know before they started work. We're so pleased with Jeff & Rudy's electrical work... They have a customer for life!!!

They (we) tackled the big one (installing a chandelier) first, and I helped by holding the ladder (I don't mind helping - SAFETY FIRST!). I rated the price a "B" only because I under utilized their talents; that was my fault, for being electrically illiterate. And then they were so proficient with time, I ran out of projects for them to complete, so there was an extra 15 minutes left on the allotted time that I purchased. But I was MORE than satisfied with the work done.

Description of Work: I used the "Big Deal" that I purchased for the services of Dwelling Electric. They did an extra thing, they did a free inspection for me on our box and then I had them replace outlets. There was unfinished electric from a previous contractor that they fixed and did some odds and ends of some of the electric stuff around the house.
