Arrived on time and was able to accommodate last minute changes I wanted. The original request was to correct a light closet that would not come on. Turns out the fixture for closet was outdated and needed to be replaced along with corrective wiring. At the last minute, I decided I wanted 4 ceiling cannister lights installed in the living/family room. He installed them the same day and they look absolutely GREAT!!! I also had problems with a fire alarm that would go off indiscriminately; they resolved that issue too. They wore cotton slippers over their shoes and cleaned up everything; looked like no one had ever been there. The price was reasonable and both gentlemen kept me statused with the project's progress. Would definitely recommend and use again.

The representative from company Rudy was prompt, professional, worked quickly to get all done and with in the two hour time frame. He explained my options for when I re-connect up everything. The scheduling person, female was so kind and returned all my calls to get me scheduled asap. This was a coupon for 2 hours of electrical, I am very happy and the price was so worth what he did. I am using this company again for additional electrical work. Great Job and Company.

Scheduling was not in the time frame I needed. They were very nice over the phone and were sorry they couldn't accommodate my needed service date. I'm glad they are busy. It's the sign of a good company.

It went great. He was able to troubleshoot and repair the short in the circuit box, and in addition to replacing the ceiling fan, he brought the electrical into compliance with the building code, possibly preventing the fan from falling.

Dwelling Electric did a great job and gave me good advice. I originally purchased services through a Big Deal, and they told me what to buy to complete the project. Thanks to that, they had everything they needed to finish up on their second visit. They worked fast and were totally fair in their pricing.

Jeff and his helper showed up on time, and were pleasant and professional. They found and fixed a wiring problem while installing a fixture, and I felt comfortable that they knew what they were doing. I plan on calling them in the future for additional work.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was outstanding. It took awhile for them to come out. It took 6 weeks to 2 months but it was fine because it wasn't an emergency. It was an outstanding job when they did come out. There were no additional charges. They were professional and were respectful of the customer. They really cared about doing everything right for the customer. It was great. I would absolutely use them again.

The service went very well. They did a wonderful job and the technician knew what he was doing. He was also very nice and an efficient worker. He cleaned up with mess and the quality of the workmanship was great. They were pretty booked out and I did have to wait a few weeks for them to come out. The wait was well worth it, however.

I had scheduled this after getting three bids via Angie's List. Dwelling had an online coupon and came in much lower than the other bids. I don't always hire the cheapest person, but after reading the majority of the reviews, I gave it a shot. Unfortunately, they had to reschedule our job two days before due to a problem, but made good by working on a Saturday for us when they don't normally do that. Rudy came out on time and worked hard for 8 hours to get the job done. He was courteous and kept each room as clean as possible. He always asked us questions regarding how we wanted it done instead of just doing it. He was able to wire each room without cutting holes in the walls. He also replaced an outlet that needed to be done. Highly recommend this company and hope to have Rudy back for future jobs.

First of all it took several calls to finally connect with the provider. Even the day of service I called to confirm an issue and they were unavailable for over an hour. I scheduled with the very first available date and talked with them three different times about only having about two hours of work for them and wanting to have them come back at a later date to use the additional two hours with a larger job that we did not have the money for right now. Each time she said yes to my suggestion. When Rudy arrived on the 16th he seemed clueless about the scope of my job and was uncomfortable with some of it. When I mentioned that there was only about two hours of work he agreed and then told me that I must use all four hours at once or I just lose the other $100. He admitted there were other customers who had the same problem and concern and he offered to cancel the contract and advised me to contact Angie's List for a full refund. It has been four days and neither Jeff or Brenda has contacted me to address my concerns. I see I am outside my 30 days but given the difficulty of scheduling with them and the inept way Rudy approached my jobs and the fact that since they knew straight up front the scope of my job and said nothing to me in advance about the time issue and what I read on the reviews about Rudy taking WAY too long on jobs just to fill up the four hours (and he actually told me that changing an outlet under my kitchen sink might take four hours), there is NO WAY I want this provider back in my home. Please issue me a refund. Thank you, Jeanette

Rudy was so great to work with. He arrived promptly and did everything we asked. It turned out he was so efficient that the job took much less than the time allotted. We got the $299 for 6 hour deal through Angie's list. So he took it upon himself to do an outside inspection of the house and caulk outside fixtures and check outdoor sockets. I would absolutely call them again!

I was completely satisfied with his work and would definitely use Dwelling Electric in the future without any hesitations. The Electrician was on time and was respectful of everything.

I was going to use the Big Deal for the electrician for the day but they talked me out of purchasing the Big Deal and advised we go through them directly instead to save some cost. I had informed them of the work I needed to have them do and then sent out a worker (they were supposed to send two) who had no idea what he was supposed to do. We needed them to hide the tv wires inside the wall and also move an outlet as well as various other small electrical tasks. The worker then said he didn't have nearly enough time to complete the work in the four hours they had him scheduled for and complained about every single task that my husband asked him to do (including not wanting to put holes in the wall to hide the tv cables). They then called me and told me that they had pulled the worker off the job since my husband was rude to him (which he was not). I ended up having to pay another electrician a lot of money to fix the urgent electrical needs we had in the few days we still had in California. When I called Dwelling Electric and told them I was not happy at all with the experience and that I would be leaving a negative review on Angie's List, they told me since I had never officially hired or paid them for any services, I could not leave a review.

Basically, I purchased a Big Deal I did not need on April 15, 2014. Dwelling Electric contacted me soon thereafter and told me they could not schedule the work I thought I needed until June 2, 2014. However, a neighbor who just moved into our neighborhood, Mr. Robert Koch, paid us a visit late on the afternoon of June 1, 2014. We started talking and I found out he was an electrician, although his license expired as he was now retired. I then mentioned to him that Dwelling Electric was coming the next morning to replace my entire electric panel as I thought it was time to do so since the house was now 14 yrs. old; and, I had read that the lifetime of a breaker was approximately 14 yrs. As one of my breakers had tripped a couple of months before I purchased the Big Deal in question, I figured the time had come to replace them all, although I didn't have any trouble with the other breakers. Anyway, that's the reason I purchased such an expensive Big Deal because I thought replacing the entire breaker box would be a big job (which it is). Mr. Koch told me I was wrong in believing that a breaker box with all its breakers should be replaced once every 14 years. Mr. Koch further told me that breaker boxes should last at least 30 years before any consideration should be given to replacing them. As for the breaker that tripped 3 times before I bought this Big Deal, Mr. Koch offered to look at it. We then turned on everything that was hooked up to the breaker that tripped to see what would happen. Well, nothing happened, and Mr. Koch said that if it were on his house, he wouldn't do anything unless the breaker started tripping repeatedly at short intervals of time. Well, as Social Security Disability Insurance Benefits are my only source of income, I took Mr. Koch's advice and decided just to leave the breaker box alone. I called Dwelling Electric early the next morning, explained to them what had happened and told them I wanted to cancel the job. Dwelling Electric told me that would be no problem as it had reached the point where it had more work than its employees could handle, especially with the Big Deals it had placed on Angie's List. Dwelling Electric then told me I would have to contact Angie's list to get a refund of the money I paid for the Big Deal. Thereafter, I immediately contacted Angie's List to determine what had to be done to get my refund. Of course, the reason my request came so long after I purchased the Big Deal is because Dwelling Electric had set the date for the work to be performed starting on June 2, 2014, the date I contacted Angie's List for a refund after cancelling the job. Your records will show that I'm a good customer with Angie's List, and I don't expect any problems with my refund request. I want the refund placed on the credit card I used to purchase the Big Deal. The earliest they could schedule time was not until June 18!!! (It was purchased on 5/25/14) We couldn't wait that long to have it fixed. Jeff was very polite and so was the assistant who called me back when I had to cancel. She was very accommodating. Thank you and maybe we can use a Big Deal in the future!

The technician was very nice and professional. He did lots of minor electrical repairs, checked all of our outlets, fixed a broken light in our office and answered all of questions thoroughly. I plan to use them again the next time we have any electrical needs.

Jeff was very professional and courteous. He was very clear in explaining what my issues were and how to solve the problems. Am very pleased with his work, and will definitely call him for any electrical issues that might arise in the future.

Got a cancellation appointment, so I only had to wait a few days between calling and the work being done. The guys were right on time, were very polite and certainly knew what they were doing. I explained everything I needed doing and they got it first time and got straight on with it. The job was done exactly how I wanted. I'll use these guys again. The time spent on the job came out to be 30 minutes less than quoted. So he took that time off the quote and the job was cheaper than I expected!

Great work. Quick. Trustworthy. Was untrusting when two guys showed for an hour, rather than 1 guy for 2 hours, but now I trust there will be no schemes with these guys. Efficient and professional. Only criticism is I wish they weren't so backlogged, but that must be because they earn tons of business. Worth the wait.

Exceptional professional service. I purchased tow hours for $98.00. My primary concern was the chandelier, a two person job. Two electricians showed up on time, and started working right away with minimal explanation require. The chandelier was up within the allotted time and was hung perfectly, including leveling it, which I was really afraid of if I attempted it myself. The power issue was addressed, and I was so pleased with what these men had done, that I paid for additional time at a very reasonable rate, to complete the ceiling can light installation

He arrived on time and completed my list of electrical chores that included installing five lights and changing out a GFI outlet. The technician was very personable and professional.

I bought the Big Deal that gave us 6 hours of work for $300 on March 19th. The only negative about this entire experience is that Dwelling Electric was so busy that the first date they had available was May 8th. Obviously, we snapped that day up immediately, as we did not want to wait any longer. They called the day before and confirmed the appointment. The arrival window was between 7 and 9 am. Right after 7 am there was a knock on our door. We did a walk-through of all the things I wanted him to do. He told me it would probably take closer to 7 hours but he would do his best. He worked quickly and efficiently. If I had to do things differently, I would have taken the brand new ceiling fans out of the box and partially put them together to save on his time. He added power to a new bathroom fan and installed the auto off timer. He installed a new ceiling fan in the the master suite that had no lighting before, so this step included new wiring. In the spare bathroom he replaced the current fan. In the family room he replaced the old ceiling fan, and hooked it up to a fan controller and a switch. This step also required new wiring. Finally he added a junction box to a splice in the garage that was not up to code. All in it took him 7 hours of work, although he was generous with is time. He did not count the time he was here for the walk through (before and after) or his cleanup. There were 35 dollars needed for parts, that included wire, ceiling fan mounts, and junction boxes. They billed me $75 for the extra hour. The one part he could not get to was separating the light and fan in the spare bathroom. Right now a single switch powers up both. He told me before we started it may not be fixable within the 7 hour window. It all had to do with the current wiring. This is an old house and was not done correctly. Apparently power was brought to the light fixture first, then to the fan, and then to the switch. He was very patient in explaining everything to me. All told I was very impressed with his work, and I will be calling Dwelling again when I need electrical work in the future.

No news is good news. The electrician showed up as scheduled, worked quickly and efficiently, caused no disruption whatsoever, cleaned everything perfectly and was an excellent conversationalist as well. He explained what he was doing and why he did it that way, advised about future work that might need to be done. Ideal.
