+ 0 moreThis company does high quality and reasonably priced work. I would certainly use them again. However, if you are in a rush, this is NOT the company to go to. Appointments are made weeks in advance....and if you need to change your appointment, it gets pushed back more weeks. The work is top notch and I am happy with the finished product.....the wait was a bit frustrating though.

+ -1 moreThe Dwelling Electric contacted me within 24 hrs. of ordering the service and an appointment was scheduled. 24 hours prior to the service call, their office called to confirm the appointment. The provider showed up at the appointed time, he properly identified himself, and we reviewed the tasks that needed to be performed. The provider was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. All tasks were performed within the specified time and I'm completely satisfied. I will gladly call Dwelling Electric back for other electrical services.
Description of Work: The provider fixed several electrical issues, i.e., repair of recessed lighting, switch repair and smoke detector replacement.

+ -1 moreI contacted them to have the electrician come out and look at the cam lights I wanted installed before I bought the deal to make sure they would be able to do it. They said there was no need as they install cam lights all the time. So I boutght the deal and when the electrician came out he said the job was more complicated than he had expected and could not be covered by the deal. I am sure he is capable of doing the work but as the situation was not handled as well I would have hoped for I am not sure I would use them again.

I had purchased lights I thought would work however, after discussing what I wanted in overall lighting needs, Jeff indicated he did not think the lights I had purchased would meet my needs. He recommended alternative, much more desirable lights (although he did indicate he would be happy to install what I had purchased if that is what I wanted). His lighting recommendation is more energy efficient but less expensive --and he even talked my husband through the selection process (on the phone) who was at the store to staring at the overwhelming selection of available options. We were able to return the wrong lights and purchase the new lights (for less cost) all while Jeff continued to do the prep work for the install. Jeff did an excellent job helping me to determine the correct placement of the lights (I"m pretty fussy - so patience is necessary!) and his installation is perfect! My room is beautifully eluminated! Oh, I should mentioned, Jeff was super neat and tidy- another plus for me. Overall, stellar work, very pleasant, professional, on time, finished earlier than expected, clean and neat and my dog liked him! Thanks Jeff! I will definately use your company again!

+ -1 moreI purchased a "big deal" (my first time using your service) I was contacted by your provider within the specified time which was nice. However, at first I was told I wouldn't be able to get any service for the rest of this year. And when I told them that wasn't acceptable they all of a sudden could help me. After which they told me how much the materials would be I decided to put the job on hold. I was only having some wire pulled for a dryer. I was told it would be between $150-200 dollars in material "which I could purchase from their tech. That is outrageous. I could buy a whole spool of wire for that cost. I understand them wanting to mark up their materials, but don't retire on me. So this is why I am petitioning for your help in this matter. I look forward to your response. Thanks.

+ 0 moreHe did a great job. He was on time and he did what he said he would do. It was quite reasonably priced. I had him back after the original deal at his regular rate because he worked very efficiently. He did the work in 2.5 hours. He left the workspace just as he'd found it too.
Description of Work: He converted our kitchen ceiling lights from bulbs to true LEDs. He also hung a pendant light with an adapter kit.

I then took another special from Angieslist and that turned out to be with Evans Elect & they were prompt and did a good job.
