+ -1 moreEverything went so well, and easy. Mario is the best. I love these shutters. I have two types, and I adore them both. If you need help on choosing count on what he tells you. I am going to need him again and will not hesitate to call. He comes on time, is neat and efficient, and his work is star quality.
Description of Work: We needed shutters for our bedroom. He told us about the different types. His suggestions helped us to choose.

+ -1 moreThe service contract was initiated shortly after hurricane Sandy hit the East Coast. The provider's supplier's shop was in New Jersey or New York. We were informed that there would be a delay because water damage from Sandy had destroyed the material needed for the drapes. That much I can understand be sympathetic about . What I could not understand and was never sufficiently explained is that the damage had to occur before we signed the contract, but we were not informed until about two weeks later - just about the time installation was to occur. If the order for the material went in efficiently, we should have been informed very early on and could have made other arrangements. Otherwise, it seems someone is hedging on their service somewhere. I get an uneasy feeling and loss of confidence when I suspect someone is not quite forthright. On the plus side, the workmanship on the draperies (apparently performed on the West Coast) was very good. When an arrangement was made to come to the house, the provider was always on time. They also did a good job on the installation.
Description of Work: Install draperies for one 9-foot long window and one 6-foot long glass sliding door.

+ -1 moreVery pleased with the professionalism and expertise of Drapery Tradition. Mario, owner, came out prepared with samples and he measured all windows and provided a very reasonably priced estimate on the same day. Helped me decide color, size of slats, style. Placed the order same day. Arranged for his installer, Bruce, to haul the old vinyl blinds away for $50. A little over 3 weeks later, Bruce showed up as scheduled and did the installation. When done, he provided a detailed explanation of how to care for them and keep them looking great. The Hunter Douglas shutters keep the house SO much cooler and they have a higher insulating rate (R value) than blinds, so even the rooms with direct afternoon sun remain cool in the summer. With shutters and ceiling fans, I rarely use my air conditioner. May contact Mario in the future to install sliding shutters for my patio door. Great job!
