We hired this company to refinish our old tub as part of a bathroom remodel. At first it looked fine, but just around a year the finish started peeling off the outside of the tub. The company insisted that it must have been our fault for using abrasive cleaners on the tub, which we did not, but did come back to refinish the outside. This spring, a little less than 2 years after the work was done, more of the finish is peeling, this time on the inside of the tub. They will not repair. I realize they have a 1-year warranty, but I would not have used this company had I realized I would now have to pay to have the tub refinished every 1-2 years because the finish doesn't last. There is no benefit to refinishing if it lasts less than 2 years.

He did a great job and even redid the caulking which I didn't expect. The bathtub looks new.

The company representative was on time and ensured all areas not to be resurfaced were covered and taped off. After careful prep work, the tub was ready for "paint." When finished, it looked brand new, which is saying something because there was extensive chipping and pealing to the existing bathtub. The entire process took about 3 hours and the odor was strong for 8-10 hours, which can be expected. We were instructed to stay clear of the bathroom, allowing the product to cure, for 24 hours. Excellent look.

The finisher called to see if he could come a half hour earlier than scheduled because he was outside waiting at 7:30 am. Great, I said! The job went smoothly and the prep work was done very carefully with no effort spared to do a good job. the job was done within an hour and a half and everything went well. when I had a question about a spot on the finish the e-mail response was very prompt and attentive to my question. It proved to be a non-issue. For the cost and ease with which this whole process went I would definitely recommend this company.

Great. He came on time, worked quickly, and left a beautiful product. Before it was dry someone came in and put something on the still wet finish and messed up a corner. My friend called the company and they came out and touched it up for free. I really recommend them.

I chose Cory Tatz after speaking with two other bathtub refinishers. Cory struck me as very knowledgeable and extremely honest. The other two told me what I wanted to hear. Cory told me what was possible and what was not. Manuel, the technician, showed up before the scheduled start time, and did an outstanding job. He was diligent in the masking process as there were a lot of nooks and crannies he had to mask around. I would recommend this company to everyone. Their prices are competitive and they are a pleasure to deal with.

They were punctual, pleasant, and very polite. It took 3 visits to get it right, removing the enamal left on the stopper rim on both sinks and smoothing out the orange peel surface left after the resurfacing. I thought all was ok when they left my house. Unfortunately, I didn't see a small black spot that was missed on the tub that was resurfaced until my realtor pointed out to me. I didn't want to call them out fourth time, I was able to apply enamall on the spot myself.

We are renovating our condo for rental and the enamel in the sink in our kitchen was really worn. We didn't really want to put in a new one, because the counter top was in really good condition, so I called a couple companies that do refinish work. Another company was less expensive, but they told me, we would need to remove the garbage disposal and faucet prior to doing the refinishing. When I talked to Cory Tatz, he said that he has been doing this for 30 years and I didn't need to remove anything as they would mask it all off. His cost was just $5 more than the other company and required less work on our end. Cory told me that the job would take about an hour to do and then would need to cure for 2 days. I made the appointment for Friday, and they were here right on time at 8:00 am finished by 9:05 am. The sink looked really good. On that Sunday I removed the masking off the faucet. The sink looks just like new and we didn't have to remove anything nor tear out tiling for a new sink. Did a great job, protected all the area around the sink including the floor, cleaned up when complete. Very professional

The glazer was prompt and professional. He didn't waste any time, he explained every step and did a very good job. The only thing I realized later is that I hadn't asked if the chipped areas could be leveled with the sink surface before the glazing. In certain light the old chipped areas show depressions in the overall surface. I don't think anyone notices it unless I point it out. I would used them again.

I have used this contractor many times over the past 10 years. During most of those years this company has completed work of very good quality; I have been completely satisfied with the results. However, the two most recent bathtub refinishes that they completed were of average quality. Because I am a landlord I almost always have an apartment 'updated' in a one-week turnaround period. That means that when I need a bathtub to be refinished the work must be done right the first time---I don't have time to have a job redone. [The process that they use involves sanding down the old surface and then applying a coat of finishing liquid (epoxy?) over the old surface]. At a minimum, I want the finishing liquid to cure for 72 hours---that ensures that it will last a long time, and it allows sufficient time for the finishing liquid's odor to be eliminated]. New tenants who are moving into an apartment do not want to be told that they can't use the bathtub for a few days. When they move-in they expect (and rightfully so) the apartment to be completely ready for occupancy. In his defense, Cory Tatz offered to come out to see the quality of the workmanship and to make repairs if, in his opinion, they were needed. Unfortunately, by the time he called to arrange to see the quality of the work, the new tenants had moved in and did not want to have their use of the bathtub disrupted. I've been told that the bathtub refinish only requires 24 hours to cure, but I believe a 72 hour curing period is necessary in order for the finish to last a long time. The problem: there were thick runs of the refinishing liquid that, when the work was done, had hardened onto the refinished surface of the tubs.

Called to get an estimate ($125-185) and schedule a time for the work to be done. Called on a Friday and the work began and was finished on the following Monday. He arrived on time as scheduled. When the work was completed the final ok came from my wife. She said she didn't think it could turn out looking as good as it did.

It Started to crack a few months later, and then just slowly the whole tub finish has disentigrated. It's peeling all away. Since I waited (procrastination)and the year warranty expired, I need to pay an $80.00 fee for resurfacing. Not sure if that will do the trick though? Maybe it's strike 3. It really is inconvenient since I totally remodelled the bathroom and will have to disengage the tub etc. Not happy! They've been decent about it communicating yet I need good results.

INITIALLY, THE REPAIRMAN DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. ALMOST A YEAR LATER THE NEW COAT STARTED TO PEEL OFF AT A COUPLE OF PLACES. THEY VERY NICELY REPAIRED IT WITHOUT ANY ARGUMENTS.

THEY ARRIVED ON SCHEDULED AND SPRAYED THE PORCELAIN ON THE INSIDE OF THE TUB QUICKLY AND EVENLY MAKING IT LOOK BRAND NEW! VERY IMPRESSIVE WORK AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE.
