Description of Work: Coles installed new hardwood floors and carpet in my condo. I am very pleased with every stage of the project from sales, measurement, and installation. The designer offered a variety of suggestions and answered all of my questions. The installers were very good at evaluating how and when to pull out the old flooring, moving furniture and returning everything back. I selected a varied design for hardwoods with 6, 4, and 3 inch planks. I love the new baseboards also.

Description of Work: Ordered tile. They told us 1-2 days and the order kept not coming. The Chula Vista store (where we ordered it) never answered the phone. While the owner claimed to be concerned when we went in, she did not follow up and get it to us. We wound up returning. I mentioned a possible negative Angies list review, but not even that made them call back.

Description of Work: I was most interested in having carpeting & tilework for the bedroom/bathroom area floors. I picked samples and a representative came to advise and estimate cost. I was shocked by the prices, no offer was made to rethink them. The rep said she would reconsider flooring recommendations and get back to me. That was over a month ago and I have never heard. Must say this tepid interest in a considerable deal was underwhelming.

+ -1 moreColes performed a measurement, that was done in a very timely and professional manner. Two-man crew did the installation. They did an excellent job laying down a smoothing layer of thin plywood, so that the subsurface was fully even. Vinyl was installed perfectly and as requested with no seams.

+ -1 moreSalesperson lied to us. First, she gave us a quote over the phone. Then a week later, we went in to see her because we wanted it in writing. She put together the written quote, and said it included a special discount "available today only." Unbelievably, the quote was the same as we got over the phone a week earlier. To the dollar! Worse, she said, "I hate high pressure sales tactics, but my manager said we need a signature and deposit today to make this special discount work." We took our business elsewhere because we don't buy from liars.

+ -1 moreI received good service at store from salesman. I got the carpet I liked on sale. They held the carpet for me until I could arrange a better time for installation. There was some miscommunication about the installation date and arrangements, which required multiple phone calls to resolve. Installation was fair to good. There was a lot of dust and small pieces of carpet left that required extensive vacuuming and hand pick up by owner. Several places where carpet threads were damaged in installation that show fairly easily.
Description of Work: I purchased carpet and provided padding and installation for entire 1700 sq. foot home (unoccupied). I had them remove all old carpet. They left several large sections of unused carpet neatly stored in garage.
