Colepepper Plumbing

Lousy! The plumber showed up and looked at the work but instead of performing the work requested he said that there was other worked that was required. He first started with the Whole water system and said it needed to be moved indoors. This is not the case, the manufacture states it can be placed outdoors. Then he proceed to say that their were code violations on the hot water heater. I asked what violations and by what standards he was going by (we live in county and sometimes vendors think the city code applies as we are on the city boarder) he said California plumbing code. I said that was strange as the hot water heater had been inspected in the past several times, without any mention of code issues. When I misspoke about an elbow on a riser versus a flex tube, he felt the need to correct me even though I was in essence agreeing with the guy. When I told him there was no need for him to correct me since I was agreeing with him the plumber started to get angry and said he would not do business with us and left. WOW - total bate a switch, sold me one thing and would not do the work, and I was already adding work onto the job. He did not need to create it. And if there are code violations I certainly would want them repaired but you have to at least convince me that they need to be done. WOW - what a horrible attitude.

First of all I trusted Angie’s list. Wrong move. The first appointment Was scheduled last Friday but he canceled. Today he came flushed the toilet 3 times, told that’s it. I ask about the coupon I had saying it supposed to be Tuneup, he said the coupon is just for the flap which my toilet does not have. Then he try to sell me over 500 dollar repair or new toilette for over $600. I said I just want the service I paid for. He told me I can get a refund from Angie’s list. Now while he was here I was in chat with a rep from Angie’s list, asking for the refund then I was told by the rep Jonathan no refund because the purchase of the coupon is over 30 days old. The coupon expires in June, so why can’t I get a refund? At this time I was not able to communicate anymore becaus the Angie’s list rep Jonathan closed the chat. How rude. Don’t fall for scams like this. I was considering joining Angie’s list as a paid customer but no way I will have my kitchen remodeling done by someone other than recommended by Angie’s list Gee

Colepepper Plumbing no longer does HVAC work, so was contacted by a company (My Guy HVAC) they had off-loaded that work to. My Guy was great in communicating but had to reschedule 3 times to do the work due to tech availability. I cancelled the request and went with another company.

Snaked and cleaned and told us to use once a year called to schedule and they wouldn’t honor the deal! I would suspect that others unknowingly purchase and find out they have huge bill too. Not sound business style and ethics. Do not use

The work was not done because I asked for a quote to replace the sink, along with replacing the H/C water lines. Because the quote was so high, I told the Tech. that I would have to consider whether I wanted the work done, and would get back to him. We completely forgot to discuss the H/C water line replacement, and the Tech. left. When I called him back, later, he quoted me a price, but I never heard back from the Company after calling and sending an email. I intended to have them do the replacement of the H/C water lines at the quoted price. I have completed the entire work, using another Company. The Tech. from Collpepper was polite , professional, and certainly very cooperative As a matter of fact, i suggested that he do a job for a neighbor, and he left my home and completed the neighbor's plumbing problem. My entire problem was the lack of followup which caused me to hire another contractor.

One of the pipes/tubing was blocked. Plummer insisted all tubing needed to be changed out, including water filter and faucet. I agreed to the work that needed to be done but found out afterwards it could have been fixed without changing everything. It was very expensive. They didn't have a water filter with them, came back to install it, but charged an additional $575 just for that 15 minutes of work!

Toilet was clogged and backed up into the tub, so knew it was a sewage line clog and would have to call someone with a professional auger. Called Colepepper because of good reviews here on Angies. The guy came out and was very friendly and professional. He stated that the cost of clearing out the line would be $420 with a $40 Angies discount. It seemed high, but he said he'd also throw in a camera scoping for "free". Previously we had someone come out and they did it for $275, but I figured since they're here and I can see what's going on with the camera, it would be worth the extra $100. They went ahead and did it and the exact details of what was going on was revealed (a belly and slight roots). They cleared the clog, took their time, were very professional... no complaints about the personnel or service. I then asked for a quote on a new water heater and possibly fixing water pressure problems in the house. He took a look and came back with some estimates. A standard water heater 50 gal would cost $2,984 installed with 12 yr warranty. That seemed a bit high, and I found out it is. I got a few more quotes and they were $1500 - $1700 (+$300 extra for extended warranty if desired). Another thing was they took a look at the water pressure regulator and had a gauge on a hose bib. As they adjusted the pressure screw, nothing happened on the gauge. They said the regulator would have to be replaced. This was actually incorrect. Another plumber came out and attached his gauge to a different bib in the garage and it was obvious the screw was having an effect and the regulator was fine. It seems the hose bib they were testing was on another line. So that was a mistake they did make. So their service is pretty good, but they did make one mistake with the pressure regulator diagnosis, and their prices are definitely up there. Another bonus point for them is they did not charge to come out and diagnose problem or for the other estimates.

they fixed it for the price of the deal that i purchased. they gave me a quote for several other projects and their prices where VERY high and for that reason i wont use them again

I paid for 2 toilet tune ups. The serviceman told me that the problems with each toilet were not covered by my purchase and what was needed was going to cost nearly $5000! I am sorry, but I don't believe that. I could buy about 8 new toilets for that! I think they used this special pricing to get more business and then use the visit to find plumbing problems that could bring in the big bucks. I don't ever like working with that type of organization!

I bought one of those discounted services for this plumber. It was $39 for $100 worth of services. The plumber came by and was super nice but he quoted over $400 to repair the dripping faucet. Thank goodness the estimate was free; now I'm hoping to get a refund. We called another plumber and he replaced the gasket and only charged us $25.

the estimate was outrageous 2x higher than from the licensed plumber referral from Home Depot any Angie's list "savings" were baloney

Ended up replacing about 20 feet of sewer line. Expensive as **** but well done.

The work went very well. Colepepper seems professional. I note that I paid $39 for the initial request, but ultimately paid $3,000 for a whole new system. Can I get credited for the $39?

This company was listed under appliance repair but when the repairman arrived he said he didn't work on appliances. However, he could turn off the water leading to the icemaker so it wouldn't leak any more. He asked if there was anything else I needed and I had him provide and install a kitchen faucet and shut off valve under the sink. He told me it would be $850 for the entire job, but when the charge appeared on my visa it was $1,061. I called several times to see if there had been a mistake but no one responded to my messages. I wrote the company and still no response.

I paid for the service, left messages and never got a call back. Angies wouldn't refund the $39

Armondo arrived right on time of the first part of the three hour window. He called beforehand and let me know he was on his way. When he arrived we went over the work that needed to be done. He went up and drew up a quote with different options. He came back in and we went over everything with me in detail. He got started and worked on my two issues. He was freindly, polite, easy to talk to, and very efficient.

went fine - no problems Armando Rodriquez arrived promptly and went right to work. It was done in 15 minues and hewas very helpful and personable. Would use the company again.

Said I had low water pressure after half way turning on water in kitchen sink , water pressure is fine. The quotes were extremely high. I told them never mind. It took 5 minutes to replace the rubber flap in the toilet. I paid $35 for $100 worth of service.

Very impressed with the professional expertise and schedule flexibility.

Armando uncovered the tank and found that the flapper was worn and not sealing properly. He replaced it with a new, larger one that corrected the problem. He was helpful in answering questions about replacing the laundry room sink faucet with a more updated model.and adjusted the kitchen sink soap dispenser so it became easier to pump. He was efficient and polite, not pushy. He covered his shoes with plastic booties before entering my home.

Service man immediately announced that since it was a "toto" brand toilet, that it didn't qualify for the "tuneup" offer. He was going to get the special brand flapper and return for $161 service call to install it. First of all, the offer as published should have identified the toilet brands that didn't qualify because both our time was wasted. He didn't show up as promised and I found another plumber to do the job.

OK but very expensive...over $1000.

Good job and service, but we ended up paying about $250 instead of the $39 tune-up promo fee. Just seemed too steep for the services rendered.

Leo did an excellent job! Very thorough, and I have a lot of confidence in his work. He was prompt and wasted no time in getting right to work. Very happy with the job done. In the "Categories" section of the review, I checked "Gas Leak Repair." There was no gas leak, but he did repair/replace a rusted out fire pit gas ring.

our kitchen drain clogged the Friday before New Years weekend, so I was anxious to have it repaired before the weekend. I called Black Mountain Plumbing, but they weren't available until 5 days later. Called Colepepper as a result of Angies List review. Colepepper gave me 4 hour window for the following day (Saturday) which I took. The plumber called toward the end of the window saying he was on his way. When he arrived, he showed me the min cost of $93, or $329 if it required snaking the kitchen drain from the clean out. He was able to clear the drain, showing me a big wad of built up gunk causing the problem. I hadn't had our drain snaked in at least 10 years, so decided to have it done while he was out. i showed him a "$50 off any service" coupon on Colepepper's Angie List page, but the plumber said he wasn't authorized by the boss to accept anything less than the prices printed on his service list. I'm happy with the plumber's work, and appreciate he came out on a holiday weekend ( I'd use them again as a result), but be advised they may not accept their own "any service" discount coupons advertised on Angie's List.
