Chris and his team did an amazing remodel. We interviewed three candidates and we connected with Chris immediately. He listened to what we wanted; brought over samples that matched our taste. The project started in days. We had some construction challenges as is true with any remodel. Chris and his team conquered them with ease and the results were as if they didn’t exist. Chris and his team were punctual, polite, and professional. Chris was on-site everyday, offered simple suggestions for updating other areas of our house that had a low cost and added great impact. I've used Chris on a number of occassions. I was referred to him by a friend about a year after owning my first home (2018). I had never used a designer before and didn't realize all the various jobs he was capable of helping me with. I had also just had my first bad experience with a general contractor who came in on a bid for a 5k job, and left with 30k of my money - for a small job in my living room. Never again - I will only use Chris from here on out. The first job I hired him for was with picking out furnishings and fixing a few of the things that the General Contractor messed up in my living room area. Then about a year later, fall of 2019, he helped me with both of the bedrooms - installing BEAUTIFUL closets and resdesigning both the master bedroom and guest bed. In redesigning the closets, he also built out a great utility closet for me. Then in 2020 (shortly before the pandemic), he helped me design my casita into an office as I am a remote worker. It's my "she-shed" now and everyone is so jealous of my office space! Now, I'm having him do a kitchen remodel and everything is going great. The caliber of the work is top-notch. My house is clean every night after the workmen leave, and I'm just thrilled that I'm finally doing this. Next stop - bathroom remodels! LOL. All his work is well done, he is honest & ethical, keeps you informed throughout the process, doesn't sugarcoat what it is going to cost, and checks in/is at my house daily! I will never use anyone else and I highly recommend him for any home remodeling project. I refer him to all my friends and family and truly value his work. Thank you, Chris Alan Design!

First, he works with you to understand what you are looking for. He then provides ideas with multiple suggestions so you can find just the right look you want. Then he coordinates the whole project. He checks in daily to make sure it is going as expected and that I was happy with the outcome. The people he works with are the best - quality work and really nice people. If something needs a correction, he gets it done. You don’t have to worry about anything and the time you put into the project is minimal. Let me stress: He does all the work for you. Christian did a full house remodel under intense time constraints and we could not be happier with the results. He took a house that had not been remodeled since the 1970’s and made it into a house that is for the cover of Architectural Digest. He was at the project every day, managing the project from top to bottom, ensuring minimal impact to neighbors, and he also handled all vendor coordination. Not only would I hire him again, but he’s the only person I will ever hire again. He’s a Jack of All Trades and master of all.

There is no way to fully express how happy I am to have the good fortune of hiring Chris Alan Design for a remodel of a 30+ year old house. I inherited a house in Oceanside that needed a lot of work, but is occupied by a disabled sibling who did not want to move, even on a temporary basis. Complicating the situation is that I am a Texas resident and was concerned how I would handle such a project from afar. When mold was discovered in the house, I recognized that I needed to move forward with the remodel. I learned of Chris Alan Design through online reviews such as this. I gave Chris a call, we agreed to meet and did so this past February. He met my sibling, understood the disability and reassured us that no move out was needed. Additionally, he assured me that he would handle the entire remodel working with his experienced team. Short story, he delivered! He kept me informed every step of the way, sending me pictures of the progress as well as pics of selected colors, appliances, flooring, bathroom tile, plumbing fixtures, and calling to inform me when we needed to consider alternatives to the plan. My sibling had no complaints and enjoyed interacting with Chris’s team . . . and, he came in on budget. A+ is my rating and I encourage those who in are need of such services to give him call.

At our first meeting with Chris Alan, we followed our instincts and decided to hire him as our designer and project manager for a refreshening of our Mt. Helix home. He took a tour through our house, filled us with ideas, and came across as someone who was not only likeable but as someone who came with much wisdom, experience, and good ideas. We have recently completed this project which did not include any remodeling or construction per se. But things looked tired and out of date and he helped us update the look by adding hardwood floors, full house interior repainting, reworked wood/brick fireplace to new gas fireplace with stacked stone resurfacing and new mantel, new furnishings, lighting and light fixtures, and rearranged art and personal décor. We are very happy with the results. There are many positive things we can say about our experience with him. He is very "hands on" and does not leave you wondering what is happening next, nor does he leave any of his contractors without timely direction. The contractors he works with are reliable, prompt, and courteous, and in general the project was completed very efficiently. Although we began the project with an initial non-starter cost estimate to do everything he recommended we do, once we established a budget that we were comfortable with and drilled into the project details with him at the outset, he stayed respectful of our budget, helped us spend those dollars wisely, and stayed within the budget we established. Although he gave us a clear direction design-wise that he felt we should go, he listened to us about our objectives and concerns about the space we were creating and incorporated who we are into the final result. As a result, our home still feels like us but with a completely updated look that we are very happy with. We are happy to recommend Chris Alan.

Christian is an amazing designer. My wife and I were looking for someone to help us remodel our kitchen after a flood, and Christian was the perfect person for the job. He devised a plan for us after getting an idea of our goals and tastes, and then he executed that plan. His team of subcontractors (e.g., Noel, Carlos, and Hector) all did very meticulous, very high-quality work. After our kitchen remodel and taking care of some miscellaneous things around the house (e.g., acoustic ceiling removal), we've hired him again to get some work done on one of our bathrooms. Christian is an excellent designer, and he's just a quality guy. I highly recommend him!
