Description of Work: Rudy transformed my back yard from an ugly conglomeration of half-done,multi-material projects to a wonderful, nature-inspired place. From the beginning, he worked with me to design this project using creativity and imagination along with his excellent skills and experience. He did everything: stamped concrete around the pool, brick patio and seating area, stucco/tile/rockwork walls and posts, and redwood patio cover and fence/gatework. He often called when he was "off the clock" with a new idea or inspiration,adding little touches here and there, most often using materials we already had at little or no extra cost to me. I never felt pressured to go outside my budget, and appreciated his realistic view on working within the constraints we had. He is absolutely reliable, always arriving on time and working a full day. He is friendly and got to know my family,dogs, and neighbors. He even brings veggies from his garden and his own home-made dips! His work is meticulous, even earning the praise of my most demanding neighbor! Everyone who has seen my yard is impressed and surprised that all the work was done by one man (he does use help, but it is his expertise, and he is always on the job to supervise and work). I would highly recommend Rudy for any project you may have in mind!

Description of Work: I have a sixty year old house and needed the old front porch re-bricked. Rudy Chavez is licensed and insured and was able to do a very detailed job. He re-enforced the front porch by using thin bricks over the old ones. Then he re-bricked the walkway that lead to the sidewalk. I had him build new wooded steps to my side patio that leads to the front porch. Lastly, he painted the stucco that was around the new bricks and touched up my iron works.
