Rude, tried to chisel a fee just for an estimate on a new furnace.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it was okay. They did the service, and they wanted us to do more. We wanted them to inspect everything and they seemed to say they could do this for x amount, and we were not interested in that. They put the cheapest quality of filters when they replaced them, and we had to put in new ones after they left. It was obvious that the low price of the deal was the reason. We normally change the filters ourselves every year. They did what they had advertized, but they were trying to sell more services.

They came out to check this system, but tech didn't actually turn it on. The system didn't turn out and tech wasn't sure why- he couldn't do the inspection of it- so he left. This was a rental property. When I found out after, the company was really responsive and the tech owned his responsibility in the issue and apologized politely. So- A for professionalism, but overall- B-- it could've been better. Thanks!

Dan was very professional, explained what he was doing and the results of the tests. He noted that our system was aging, which it is. He suggested that we use the system until a major component fails and that we do not need a system nor maintenance at this time. Dan recommended a replacement system that had good reliability and was easy to repair and had relatively low parts cost. It was an enjoyable visit.

Very professional attitude. In hindsight, if he would have checked the coil unit in the attic, he may have discovered the leak in a rusty drain and coil problem that eventually led to serious damage of the ceiling a month later. Entire unit was replaced by a different vendor.

Wanted to make sure my A/C was functioning properly before the heat hit. They fully checked out the A/C and furnace with an inspection and they replaced my filter. They were knowledgeable, prompt and very courteous. This is the 2nd time I have used them and would defintiely do so again.

The service technician was friendly and professional. He fixed loud buzzing coming from the AC condenser outside in addition to doing a complete HVAC check and tune. He answered some stray questions I had about the size of the condenser without trouble, and assured me that everything was in great condition and installed very well by the builder. No doubt that I'll be using Carini again.

I purchased a 22-point A/C & furnace inspection & tune-up. Dan the service tech was on time and got right to work. He didn't seem to mind that I hung around and looked over his shoulder. I like to stay involved without getting in the way. I ask a few questions here and there and hopefully learn a few things along the way. I really appreciated that Dan was so friendly and explained what he was doing and what he was finding. He thoroughly inspected and cleaned the A/C unit. My A/C unit is quite old (about 25 years!) but he said it's actually in great shape. I appreciated that he didn't try to convince me to upgrade and instead recommended that I just try to get as much as I can out of it because it's in good working condition. I very much appreciate that kind of honesty. Because of this experience, when it does come time to replace everything I know who I am going to call first.

They did a complete A/C check out. When they found a problem that wasn't on their check list, they still went ahead and fixed it. Found a drain pan was condensing, and at no charge insulated the pan. Outstanding company. Went beyond what the $85 tune up called for. Definitely will use them again for any Heating/A-C work I need.

We hired Carini after a particularly frustrating experience with Sears. I won't go into to all the details, but instead of being up-front with our fairly complicated a/c situation, Sears just told me what I wanted to hear (that they could do an unattainably simple install). This meant about a month of delays, changed plans and false starts (they subcontract, btw). I returned to Gabriel at Carini, who confidently and professionally put together a plan and gave me a very fair quote. We live in a 1946 Spanish on a narrow property, and Gabriel's team did a great job of working with our unique constraints. The laborers worked really hard all day, did a nice clean-up, explained everything they had done, and were very courteous. Our system has performed perfectly, and we are very happy with our decision to hire these guys. *5000 is for a/c only, permits and electrician were added costs

Dan arrived right on time at 8 am, friendly and courteous. After describing the problem, we went out to his van and he discovered that his van had been broken into the previous night and his most important / expensive tools were stolen. Talk about not the right way to start the day!!! I think I was more upset than he was and definitely less upset than my fiance was when I told her later that evening. What is our World coming to? Anyway, we did go up on the roof and he determined that the fan had gone out and it was most likely going to be around $650 to change out the fan or around $200 for the capacitor. I had my finger crossed it was the capacitor! Dan had to go out and buy tools so he could come back to further diagnose and correct the problem. Dan came back in two hours like he said (and $900 later with only part of the tools he needed to make it through the rest of his day) and figured out it was capacitor. Dan changed out the capacitor quickly and ensured the a/c was working fine. After telling him I was an Angie's List member, he took 10% off the capacitor change out price. Dan is professional, explaining the problem thoroughly, patient, answered all my questons - I'm an Analyst by profession, courteous, friendly, efficient, and most importantly trust worthy. Ask for Dan, he is EXCELLENT! I HIGHLY recommend Carini Heating and Air Conditioning and will definitely use them again when I change out my box unit for a separate furnace and air conditioner or have any problems with my HVAC system. I will also recommend them to friends and family.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal special offer for this service and it was okay but he made some very expensive suggestions. I did not feel like putting that much money into it right now. It works fine and it worked all winter with no problems. He checked it and said the burners were okay but he thought they needed to be replaced. He also had several other things so I was a little skeptical about the repairs that he suggested. He did what he said he would do at the price of the big deal. He came right on time when he said he would and was fairly prompt as to when I called. I was not here when he came for the service, my husband was.

Carini Heating & Air Conditioning did a nice job. He was good. He showed up on time, right when he was, he was courteous, quick and proficient. I think the pricing was reasonable, it wasn't too expensive. He did great. He checked it very thoroughly and put it back together. He was very professional. I would definitely use him in the future.

It was great and they accomplished what I needed. It was a good deal for the service provided. They were very professional and came out pretty quickly.

It wasn't working right and he came in and said, it's minimal and charged us little and did a great job. After working I thought he was honest and would definitely use him again.

On time, efficient service. I selected this offer from a number of similar offers because it also included a check of the gas furnace. The check was thorough and they did more work than I expected. The amount of dirt removed from the exterior unit should also help my system efficiency. I was very pleased with this company and will make this an annual event.

Don arrived on time on May 20th and did a thorough review of the system. He suspected that there was a coolant leak and he recharged the system. He said this would keep the system working until he could come back and narrow down the problem. On May 24th he returned to find the leak. He found two leaks and also determined that the original installer of the system did not weld the system properly, and instead had used epoxy! He double tested the system with nitrogen, the flushed the system and tested the vacuum seals, and then he fully re-charged the system again. It is working wonderfully now. Don was very professional and helpful, and everyone we have spoken with over the phone have been great. We look forward to using this company again in the future.

Their site visit made me uneasy about having them do the job. The installer gave me more than enough detail about the minutiae of the installation. Their bid was itemized, which is generally a good thing, but did not also have the bottom line cost for a full project. I felt the installer and I were not communicating well, which is not a good way to start a big home improvement.

I needed my air conditioning system checked as well as my son's. Two guys arrived right on time and went to work. The explained the process as they conducted each check on the furnace and a/c unit. Each part of the system was checked and operated. Temperatures and electrical equipment voltages were taken/monitored. I was very pleased with the level of service and the technical expertise demonstrated by the two service persons. Strongly recommended.

Our experience with him has really been good. He has been really attentive to phone calls. He explained exactly what he was going to do and answered a lot of questions. His bid was very clear, concise, and described every single thing that he was going to do. Where other companies did not offer to take the old floor furnace out, all the venting, and everything that goes with it, he did. He also made recommendations to us as far as not trying to over sell and sell us something that we did not need for our region and our climate, but keeping us more in a middle budget. The weather is really temperate in San Diego, and so, not trying to sell us a killer heater and air system when we really do not need that in this area. He is really good about that. I would tell others that if they are looking to get an estimate, I would definitely recommend that they call and have lots of questions ready. He is very knowledgeable. His website is full of information, and in fact, he puts out a monthly news letter on different types of heating and air topics whether it is actual equipment, or tips on how to take care of your new equipment, or regular maintenance, just lots of good information. He was here right when he said he would be, and he sat out on the truck until our exact appointment time. He was here early but did not come to the door early. He came exactly at the time that we agreed upon which I thought was very professional instead of trying to rush in early and see us to rush out to see somebody else. He was here for us, and that was very apparent.
