Anthony, the design specialist, spent a few hours measuring and performing heat calculations to give us the optimal system. He made suggestion as to the size of the compressor, options for the existing furnace, etc. We agreed on a system and a price and the system was installed in less than a day. There were a few minor issues with the installation and Anthony and the owner, Gabe, came out and rectified all issues. This company truly wants their customers to be happy. When Anthony and Gabe were done, the installation was perfect. They went above and beyond our wildest expectations. Fast forward a few months to the current miserable heat wave... We noticed the bedrooms and office were pretty warm compared to the living room and kitchen. Even as busy as they are with the heat wave, Anthony came out a few days later and VOILA, the house is balanced and the bedrooms and living room/kitchen are the same temperature. Anthony also made a few adjustments to our Nest thermostat that also helped. We couldn't be happier with the installation and the customer service after the installation. Do your research but you need to include Carini Heating and Air Conditioning in your list. Carini did a marvelous job and I believe they truly want their customers to be 110% satisfied. Everything was smooth and professional, which is why I gave high marks. On price I only gave "good" but I really don't have the acumen to determine how good the price was. Overall very pleased and would use them again if needed.

The service went fine. They were very responsive and easy to schedule out. I paid additional fees to also have them look at and repair a second unit. I thought the additional fee was very reasonable. The technician was very professional and knowledgeable. He was able to repair the other unit at a cost effective rate since the repair did not require new parts. I appreciated his honest and thorough work. It took him about an hour to complete the service.

Other people had told us we needed a 6000 dollar unit. Carini told us it was simply a fuse, replaced it and it was working again all for less than $100. What awesome honest service!

Carini Heating and Air is THE BEST! Out of 5 companies we selected to give us estimates and information, Gabriel Carini was the most thorough, informative and reasonable. Not to mention nicest. His crew were so professional, punctual, neat and polite. They actually made it fun. Our dog even loved them! Tim, the drywall guy was also the best. Both my husband and I would ( and already have) recommend Carini Heating and Air to anyone who has a need.

The company e-mailed me shortly after my purchase to schedule the appointment. We scheduled a few weeks out, but they called the day before to confirm as well as a half hour before hand to let me know they were on their way. The van arrived on time, but it took about 15 minutes past our appointment time for the gentleman to come to the door. Once he arrived he was very professional. Even though our ac and furnace are over 10 years old, he said they were both working well. He did provide a quote for some additional work that he suggested be performed, he was not pushy, and even suggested that we could do a few of the things ourselves to save money. We will definitely be calling them again if we require any further services in the future.

Trane system and not a drop of refrigerant needed! Very professional and knowledgeable serviceman. Answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns. I would recommend these guys to anyone in San Diego County that needs a service.

The gentleman (Anthony DeCarois) who performed the inspection and tune-up of my heat ting and A/C unit was thorough, courteous and the kind of go-the-extra-mile individual that is not just a credit to the business that he represents but to his profession as well. Went great. Provider, Anthony, found that it was a simple fix of the vent cover on the duct was upside not getting the velocity of air needed to feel like the other vents. Glad it was just that!

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went very well. I didn't pay any extra. They seemed like a smaller shop so I thought they would give me a little more personal attention and I felt they did. It was a pretty good price for the amount of work he did and the time he was there.

I was not here but my husband was and he said it turned out fine.

The owner, Gabriel Carini, arrived at the specified time. We were interested in replacing the original furnace in our house and adding central air conditioning - but did not know where to start or how much heating/cooling would be required. Carini Heating and Air provides a very detailed and personal evaluation of your entire home. Gabriel measured every room or hallway in our house, measured our existing heating ducts/registers and measured our windows. The entire time that he was evaluating our needs, he was very friendly and polite, answering questions and elaborating on the details. It was a very educational experience. Although Carini Heating and Air could have tried to upsell us on a system the was over-priced, Gabriel was very honest in providing us 3 estimates and recommending the most affordable price. Although we have not contracted Carini Heating and Air as of yet - when we decide to make the purchase - it will most definitely be with Carini Heating and Air. I highly recommend them - even if to get an idea of your needs related to Heating and Air conditioning. **UPDATE** After my Wife and I discovered that our area was eligible for HERO financing, we called Carini Heating and Air to go forward with our original visit/estimate to replace our furnace and add central air. Our house has a unique challenge in that we have a half second floor. The first floor is open with vaulted ceiling, which leads up to a half second floor with a loft and two bedrooms and 1 bathroom. As such, a lot of heat rises to the second floor. Gabriel recommended a solution to our problem, which added cost because of additional ductwork required. Additionally, the HERO financing requires high efficiency components, so the lower cost units were not allowed by the HERO financing program, also adding expense for the high efficient units. Carini Heating and Air arrived at the agreed day/time and went to work with gusto! The removal of the original equipment (1973) and replacing with a 98 SERE furnace and adding a 4 ton unit was quoted as 3 days. Although the installation took 3.5 days, the end result is AMAZING!! Our electricity bill has been reduced by approximately $150 per month, and the comfort of our home is - AWESOME! Once again, I would highly recommend Carini as your Heating and/or A/C service or installer - Great service, great prices and the best quality that I have experienced as a homeowner.

I thought the job went well. They were here for 3.5 days. They were punctual in the morning all three days. They installed all new duct work, furnance and condensor. They did a really good job explaining to me exactly what they were going to have to do, and did it without any hiccups. They were extremely professional and were checking in with me all along the way. I am very pleased with thier work. I did find less expensive options, but there ratings on here and from what I have seen, the little extra was worth it.

Technician Anthony showed up at the alloted time. He called me before-hand to tell me of his schedule and when he expected to be there. He proved to be personable and very knowledgable of the heater units. He thoroughly inspected the two heaters and was able to correct the problems with adjustments rather than the replacement of parts. So there was no additional charge beyond the diagnostic fees ($196.00). Bottom line: I was happy with the service and would use Carini Heating and Air Conditioning again.

It was fine. They did some additional work so I paid more than the "Big Deal" but they provided the cost before the work was done. The technician was nice.

Owner and crew were fabulous. I was very impressed with owner's knowledge & creativity. His idea for installation was different than the other companies I contacted. Instead of. 2 rooms with a/c, Gabriel came up with a way to cover 5 rooms!! It costs more than I hoped for originally, but I never ever imagined I would be able to get a/c & heat throughout the entire house,! Worth ever penny and than some! It's so nice to work with a company that is honest, hard-working, and reliable. You really need to talk to Carini before hiring any other a/c contractor!!!!

Initial service call went well, no complants or problems. Several weeks later I had a problem with the furnace not sutting off, I called the mechanic that did the initial service call, he had someone in the office call me back with an answer (oh sometimes that happens). I am the origial owner (bought the house new in 1980)and this was the first time this problem ever happened. No one ever did get back to me about this problem. I finally called some one else (who I found on Angie's List). Central Heating & Air Conditioning. The man showed up on time, diagnosed the problem, had to order the part, came back (again very prompt, was also very nice), made the repair. Total cost $270.00. Have had no problem since. Central H & AC gained a customer and Carini H & AC lost one.

The technician arrived on time and finished the work expeditiously. He was extremely knowledgeable and gave helpful advice about maintaining the heater. He checked it for any potential safety problems. I appreciated his politeness and professionalism.

I called Carini for air duct and dryer vent cleaning because I have allergies. The technician, Bowen, showed up 15 minutes early, was very professional, and he even took off his shoes at the front door! That really impressed me - usually this doesn't happen and I immediately liked him right away. He explained to us how to keep our vents clear of dust and where to get our filters. I enjoyed watching him clear out the dryer vents in case a snake came out! Carini's prices were very reasonable, he's friendly and easy to talk to, and he offers excellent and professional services. They worked out well. We have a rental house as well as our own home and I wasn’t sure whether I would actually be able to use the tune up for the rental house because we had a bit of a problem there. We ended up using them for a repair there which was really great and I was really pleased with what they did. I actually still need to use the tune up for my own home. They were very responsive and made some good recommendations in terms of the repair in the rental house. I just bought1 deal in the hopes that the tune up would fix the problem but it didn’t. So the idea was that if it would fix the problem, we would use that at the rental house and if it wouldn’t, they would just do the repair and use the deal at our own home. They came out within a week of purchasing the deal. They were responsive. They recommended that we take a pretty conservative approach to the air conditioning at the rental house as opposed to just jumping and completely replacing it. I appreciated that. Their price was fair.

The man on the job who made it all happen smoothly was Bowen Smith, clearly Carini's key employee. A family man, Bowen is a professional in a word. He is very conscientious, a skilled and experienced installer, resourceful and a good communicator. He was the leader of a crew of two sometimes three men that appeared for the job without a hitch when he said they would. On numerous occasions we made special requests or expressed concerns and Bowen was responsive and cheerful all the while. The combination of Doug in the home office and Bowen in the field made for,in our view, a successful team that made this normally tedious undertaking very manageable and the results gratifying for the customer.

During and unusually hot spell in September my mother's air conditioner was leaking inside the house. We tried our best to figure out what might be the problem, but gave up after we could see an issue with the equipment itself. We didn't know who to call, it had been so long since we had needed service. So I went to Angie's List and found a great coupon offer for a technician to come out and inspect the unit. Carini's made an appointment for the following Monday between 11 and 12. On Monday at exactly 11, Dan arrived with a wonderful smile and went right to work. After about 30 minutes he confirmed that the condenser unit inside the house was leaking and needed to be replaced. The rest of the system, including the heater, passed his inspection which was good to know. He told us that our HVAC was somewhat dated and that finding a condenser that would work on this older equipment might be difficult. He went over all of the pricing ahead of time, the options for part only and labor, as well as new compressor and part if needed. There was a huge difference in price between just replacing the coil, or having to replace the coil and the outdoor compressor. Two days later Dan called to say he had found a hybrid condenser coil that would work with our current system and it could be installed in a day or two after he received it. Right on time at 8am two techs showed up with part in hand. They put tarps on the carpet near the unit and completed the swap in a couple of hours. The cost was exactly what Dan had quoted which was extremely reasonable, only $1400. We will absolutely call Carini for all of our future HVAC problems. We will also request Dan if he is available, we all spent quite an interesting and fun day together at the start. Thank you, Carini!!

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it was good. The person who came out was very professional, and did everything that I expected him to. He did discovered something that needs to be done in the future, and he gave us an estimate for that. He found out what the problem was, and that it had been taken care of by me just changing the filter. The price of the big deal was appropriate for what was done.

My wife and I had researched heating solutions using Consumer Reports, Angie's List, California State License Bureau, Encinitas Building Inspection, and a variety of online resources. We had some ideas about what we needed. Our house is small and close to the ocean. It never gets terribly hot or cold, but we do enjoy heat for a couple hours during autumn and winter mornings and sometimes in the evening. We had a list of some 16 questions which we posed to each of three HVAC sales representatives each of whom gave a good presentation, answered all our questions. and proposed a reasonably sized furnace for our situation. Carini had a significant edge. He had both technical and business experience. He was responsive to our concerns. He proposed three different levels of Rheem furnace. I had a bias toward Rheem as the "sweet spot" among first tier providers -- highly rated for reliability, lower priced, and better web presence in the sense of marketing and technical literature on line. It was only a few days after we gave our approval that they were out here installing the new unit. It only them a mere five or six hours to do the installation. The workmanship looks great to me and the Encinitas building inspector complemented the installation when he signed off on it. Carini has put together a great team. His office was careful to confirm appointments. Things basically happened when and as promised. We had a minor glitch installing a return grill, but that was remedied in a timely fashion. His installers we prompt, courteous, careful and they did a great job.
