It went really well. Anthony spent quite a bit of time talking to me about my system. He put on his protective booties every time he entered the house. As he added refrigerant he explained that my system was low and how to watch out for leaks. He showed me several other parts of my HVAC system that would tell me if there was a problem. We had used the AC last year and noticed it wasn't as effective as we expected. After the service, it runs 100% better. Anthony also advised me to periodically run the system to keep the it in good running shape. There was only one issue. I had purchased the $85 system check, but when Anthony showed up he informed me that because I had 2 systems they would have to charge me for the second system. They were correct and were nice enough to apply the discount to the other system. This was my mistake in not buying 2 discount inspections. I was very impressed with Carini's and Anthony. My system is running at full capacity and we are very happy with the service. My only advice is find out how many systems you have and buy the like amount of coupons. Beyond that everything was cool with the service. Pun intended.

I'm renting my house out and I wanted to have an inspection done so my tenants can have a reliable system. I purchased the coupon and Anthony came and did the inspection. He was very knowledgeable and informed me of all the things he was doing and why it was important. It's nice to understand what someone is doing so you know you're getting your money's worth. Turns out I needed a charge and a filter cleaning. AC works even better now!

As a busy mum with a husband away in Iraq, I do not want to smell any "funny electrical" smell in the house! My eldest son said it was the a/c fuse box. Carini to the rescue. Whoever put in the unit before we moved in had messed up the fuses etc. but Carini quickly calmed our fears of fire and put things in apple pie order. I particularily liked that the technician was patient with so many kids around, all interested in what he was doing. He remained professional while making them feel "part of the job." Super polite, he showed us what he was doing and why each step of the way. Equally nice was that the owner of Carini rang us the next day to make sure everything was going as it should. Amazing company!

The Carini Technician showed up as scheduled. I have no issue with the appointment. My issue is that he misdiagnosed the A/C problem. The A/C unit would not start. He told me that it as an electrical wiring that caused the problem. I paid 98$ for the diagnosis. He said that he could rewire the A/C wiring to the Furnace in the garage. He quoted me a price and labor. I had to think about it. I have a home warranty and I called the AHS warranty company and they sent over a technician a few days later (75$ for this service). The technician was able to fix the A/C unit. The fuse on the furnace had been blown. He replaced the fuse and put electrical tape around the wiring to prevent it from hitting anything that could cause the fuse to be blow. So I paid 98$ for a misdiagnosis of the problem. I'm glad that I did not get pay for any rewiring as suggested by the Carini Technician. I will NOT use Carini for any future work and can NOT recommended them. While Carini was responsive and punctual. The service Carini provided was NOT professional at all.

Anthony was on time and did a complete inspection on my AC and furnace. No issues were found; he did not try to up-sell their service or charge me for unnecessary repairs. I will be setting up an annual service with Carini Heating & Air Conditioning.

The inspector, Anthony, performed a full 22 point maintenance inspection on heating system and as advertised in their deal, as well as an 18 point maintenance inspection on air conditioning system. He even inspected the air ducts in the attic. Good price and value, service was on time and professional.

I had a great experience with Carini. It was very easy to schedule an appointment for my service. The technician, Anthony, was very professional. He contact me 30 minutes prior to arriving for my appointment. He conducted the service and identified the issue quickly, and replaced the faulty capacitor on my A/C unit. Then he identified that my A/C unit was about 1 pound of refrigerant low and refilled it. He took the time to also inspect my A/C filter, and spent time to review the entire process with me. He was patient and ensured that all my questions were answered before leaving. I appreciated his honest and professionalism and will definitely take advantage of the Angie's List savings the next time I use this company for my A/C maintenance.

Great service. Anthony arrived on time, was courteous and professional. I am very impressed with this company, because I expected to purchase the inspection deal and for them to come back and say I needed additional repairs that were not included in the price. After inspecting and performing necessary maintenance on 4 units, Anthony informed me that all units were in good working order and I did not pay additional fees. I would highly recommend and would use again.

Anthony came on time and installed a new wifi thermostat that required re-wiring since my heater was not properly wired for maximum efficiency. He did a great professional job. He also checked my air conditioner and adjusted the coolant there. I would certainly use him again.

We were pleased with the service it was professional and through. We will use them in the future.

The service was good but not great. They left the work area perfect.

That one went well. They cost me more than I wanted but overall, they found issues in my A/C and was able to resolve it. I was happy with the service. They came out couple of days after the purchase of the big deal. I like the technician that came out, he was very personable and very friendly. They took extra care. He was very thorough in explaining during the repair process.

They were prompt and explained exactly what they did.

He didn't leave me a card. I didn't get a quote from them and don't think he is going to send me a quote. He basically told me that they were not competitive -it wasn't worth the time if I wasn't going to buy a full heater which I don't need. He didn't have a business card. It was a bad experience- the estimator was really bad. The provider sent out an estimator and set the appointment- that was fine. It was timely and they called back. I don't think the provider had a problem, I think it is the estimator that came to my house. He was scheduled to come to my house between 11:00am and 1:00pm, he called the day before and wanted to re-schedule to 7:00am in the morning, but I told him 7:30 because 7:am was a bit early. He asked me to make him coffee. He did not do a full inspection my house or furnace. He told me by looking on the outside of my house that because of the age of my house-15 years old, that I would need a new furnace for it to be efficient as well as an air conditioner. I told him I didn't need a new furnace - I had had three bids by then and I knew I didn't need a new furnace. I told him I just needed a bid for an air conditioner. He was here for about 20 minutes and yet most of the inspections have taken an hour or so. He proceeded to tell me that he didn't write up the appraisal- that someone else did, and he didn't have a business card and that they probably weren't going to be competitive any way and he left. If the owner wanted to talk to me, I would be happy to.

Very thorough and knowledgeable. I would definitely use them again.

Will came on time and came in and told me had did several of the homes in my area, so he wouldn't need to do a load-test for our home. I felt a little nervous about not doing a load test because I know too small or too big of a a/c unit both have its problem, but I took it on good faith that he knew what he was doing. He asked me what I wanted, I told him just basic a/c unit., as I wouldn't be using it much (just for very hot days). He provided me with 2 options - a complete new HVAC system ($9,545.31) or just an A/C Unit & Compressor ($7,652.31). He also explained that Carini was extremely busy and that they were 1 month out on scheduling any installations.

Everything went alright! James was friendly and advised us to replace a part form our AC because it would fail within the next 2 month. Thank!

Revised Review: Initially, I was unhappy with this service. The service was fine, but I took the day off of work and the technician was 4 hours late. The dispatcher was very unsympathetic and did not offer to compensate me even though I had to take a day off of work for this service and they didn't show up until I would normally be home anyway. After my review, I got a call from the owner and he was very apologetic. The technician and dispatcher were no longer with the company (good move) and he offer a fair and reasonable compensation and actually apologized. I would definitely give them a second chance after this.

Further update (1/12/2015) I have to say that Carini is being very attentive and genuinely interested in changing my experience to a positive one. I have changed my grade a bit, and would probably give them an A- at this point. Still deciding whether to have additional work completed, but if we do, we will now most-likely use Carini. Update: after posting this review, Carini was able to contact me immediately. That's fast responsiveness, so I upgraded that. They got me the proposal of the work I'd requested, and it turns out they had mistyped my email address when they sent it the first time. It was only 3 months between the service call and the proposal, not 4. And they've apologized profusely, saying it's not how they usually do business. With the new proposal in hand, I'm going to consider giving them a second chance, and will update my review accordingly. I wasn't even sure what the 22 points were (not b/c it wasn't listed, but b/c I don't know much about HVAC), so I can't say much about that service, but to assume it was done properly. The thing that impressed me was that I asked the technician to give me a quote on future service (to reroute a duct to improve airflow) and he didn't balk or act like I was inconveniencing him, and talked to me about what could or couldn't be done. He could look at the how, but couldn't tell me the price (someone else needed to do that). It was in the attic, and he had to be up there anyway to look at the heating portion of the 22 point service, but he didn't rush me with my questions about the duct re-routing. I appreciated being heard. What disappointed me: one thing was that the service was supposed to include a filter and he didn't have one to fit my system. I understand a truck is only so large, but it seems like they could have asked me ahead of time and I would have told them what size I needed. He did spray it off with something in his truck. But what disappointed me more was that he said someone would call me with a quote on the duct work, or to come out to assess and give a quote, but nobody ever did. I didn't follow up because life got really busy, and frankly it's easy to let stuff like this slide. We've dealt with the low-flow duct for 8 years, I guess we'll wait until our next service to ask our next technician about it, but I'll probably go with someone else, just to see if I can get someone who will be more aggressive about getting my follow-up business. I also had a question about the noisy operation of the AC outdoor unit, that when we moved in, it didn't make such awful sounds, and his entire answer was that the outdoor unit was too close to the wall. But the wall and unit haven't moved in the 8 years we've been here, and it didn't used to be so noisy. So when he left I didn't feel like I had resolved anything about my system, but again, to be fair, I'd only paid for the 22point service. I just thought that while they were here, they could maybe schedule another service to fix whatever was wrong. They were professional about setting and keeping the appointment, and were likeable enough to deal with. Pleasant. And I do understand that I was getting a service package and maybe they didn't really have to provide the other info, but I would obviously have paid for the additional work. So, after it's all said and done, I still need to resolve my outstanding issues and am not sure they have any answers for me, not sure anyone else will, either, to be fair. But when I'm ready to pursue the noisy operation and the rerouting of the duct, I'll likely choose a different company. (see paragraph at top of page - I now have a proposal and after hearing their apology and concern, I'm considering using them after all, like I said, they were pleasant to deal with initially)

I told him that the furnace on the first floor had the same issue 2 years ago and suggested he look at that first. He told me that the furnace just needed cleaning and charged me the special of about $100.00. The next day I tried it and the furnace burped getting started and at shut down, exactly what i called them over to fix. When I talked to the serviceman on the phone he thought it might be the thermostat. I purchased a new one and installed it my self, but the same thing happened. The serviceman returned and checked the control board and told me it needed replacing and that he would check availability and get back to me. A week later I received and email stating that the board and installation would cost $250.00. Needless to say I would not recommend this firm unless all you want is the furnace cleaned.

Love them, he was wonderful and didn't charge to over charge me.
