California Solar Thermal installed a solar water heating system consisting of two 4x10 collectors and a 120 gallon storage tank, run by a pump that was powered by a solar electric panel. The price they gave me was seemed reasonable among the other bids I received, although it was not the lowest. I checked out their testimonials and they were each very good, and I heard that they know their stuff very well, and are very easy to work with. So, I decided to go ahead with them. My requirements were rather detailed. There was an old Solar Water heating system that needed to be removed and replaced with this new one. 2013 was coming to an end, and I needed to get this project completed before the end of the year to claim a rebate. I was also planning to have my water heater replaced, and asked if they would consider installing it for me during this project. They satisfied all my requirements and more! For example, the price agreed upon included reusing the piping of the old Solar system. However, we found out that the old piping was no good, but they were gracious enough to overlook that and absorb their extra cost in the agreed upon price. They offered me help to buy a new water heater at a discount. I ended up buying one from Sears and they installed it. Their sales manager was very responsive and was very clear in communicating the dates when the installation would happen. The water heater Sears delivered was damaged and I had to reschedule the dates of installation. This was getting close to year end, but they were willing to work with me to reschedule it and still get it done by year end. Their technical guys came up with a placement of the solar panels that I'm very happy with. The project was done neatly, and on time. I pointed out a couple of loose ends after I had made the final payment, and they willingly fixed it. After the project, their Sales Manager helped me get the CSI rebate, which was approved easily. I can say that these guys know their stuff very well, are efficient, professional, honest, and easy to work with. I highly recommend them.
