Description of Work: extensive wood repair, prep, painting of wood shingles, stucco, trim, and patio trim. There was a lot of rotting wood. Mike was the only one to suggest ripping out the rotting areas and replacing them instead of trying to repair them. house was built in 1988. Now, it looks brand new. Mike also help with selecting colors. He painted a corner of the house with sample colors to see what the colors really looked like on the house.

Description of Work: NOTHING! Gave me a bid. Chose him out of 3 for price and details. Scheduled for today at 0815. NO SHOW. Called at 0915 and had to repeat several times who I was and address. Then I got "Oh, no one came?" DUH! Then he said, "Well, they'll come tomorrow...." Really??? I took today off for this big project start. Very unprofessional and a total waste of a vacation day from work.

+ 0 moreMy experience with California Custom Paint , owner Mike Dobell was a good one from the beginning to the end. Of the three paint contractors I interviewed, Mike Dobell had the most thorough and detailed proposal .It discribed in detail the work to be done, the areas to be prepped and painted, and the materials to be used by brand name and color. Mike and his crew were highly professional and skilled painter and they were friendly curteous and fun to be around which made the experience that much better. I would reccommend him to anyone . He even came back weeks later to touch up what another contractor did without me calling him.
Description of Work: Mike Dobell did preparation of my house before painting, which included the following areas; Fascia , gutters, flash metal, downspouts, overhangs, siding, brick chimney, wood window trim, all stucco, footings, utility panels and vents were pressure washed, scraped off, and sanded to remove all loose and flaking paint and dirt. All gaps and cracks were filled with acrylic caulk and silicone, voids in stucco were filled with stucco patch to match existing stucco. All areas were painted with two coats of Behr Premium Plus exterior acrylic flat paint , areas with rubber or plastic were painted with Kilz, and garage door and all exterior doors were painted with Behr Premium Plus exterior acrylic semi gloss, two coats

Description of Work: Primer and paint the kitchen, laundry room, wet bar and ceiling beam. Also painted fire doors.
