+ -1 moreI hired Cal Coastal Painting to paint the exterior wood on my home. It is a 3800 sq ft home that had not been painted in over 15 years, so it was a big job. Scott Jones was prompt with his bid and diligent with his follow-up to secure the job. His price was reasonable and work was paced well (even with the recent rain). Scott was aware that a few areas had wood rot that required repair. Although repairing the damaged wood areas was probably more than he anticipated, he did not complain nor ask for additional funds, he just worked the problem. Although I have used a number of contractors from Angieslist, this is the first time I have felt confident to made a recommendation. I would use Cal Coastal Painting again and would recommend the company to others. CG

+ 0 moreScott was very pleasant and accommodating. We didn't have much interaction with him while he was doing the work because we had returned home. We felt he was very trustworthy and had no qualms giving him the lock box code to get into the house to do the work. Our property manager was very complimentary of his work.
Description of Work: We have a 64-year old house in La Mesa that we are fixing up to rent. We live in Northridge and are unfamiliar with San Diego tradespeople, which is why I joined Angie's List. Scott Jones (Cal Coastal Painting) was referred to us by the Angie's List plumber (Ivan Patterson) we used. Scott came out to the house soon after we called him to give us an estimate (we were in La Mesa for just a couple of days). I got the contract in the mail days later when I got home. He started the job right away. He prepped and painted two bathrooms and about 7 doors & door jams. I just spoke with our property manager, who went out to the house to check on things, and he said Scott had done a beautiful job--and no paint on our beautiful wood floors. We will definitely call him when it's time to paint the outside again.
