Machine is working great thus far.

Karl was quick to fix the job with little hassle after he obtained the part for my leaky dishwasher. He left the area clean and informed me how to properly dry out the area. He was just a few minutes late for our appointments, but I'm sure he's running from customer to customer. He was very nice and professional. I would use this vendor again.

Karl provided excellent service. He identified the problem with our dishwasher, repaired it and gave us some suggestions as to how to keep the dishwasher clean and running smoothly.

First, I called at least 10 other appliance repair companies including several on Angie's List and Budget was the first who would even come out to see the problem. They were prompt and fixed the hood into place. They were very courteous and professional. I would use them without hesitation next time.

The technician conducted a complete examination of the washing machine and attempted to replicate the problem twice without success. He surmised that excess detergent/suds may have caused the water to overflow onto the floor. Problem has not recurred since. Price paid was for normal service call.

It went extremely well. It was approaching Christmas and we needed our range fixed to prepare food for the holidays. Karl said he could come the next morning which he did and very quickly found a short in the wiring. He was very professional and explained to us what had happened. He took care of the problem and then checked the range to be sure it was working.

Carl was prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. He assessed the machines and helped me take better care of them.

I am so pleased with Karl and Budget Appliance Service! He came to my house within hours of my call and diagnosed the problem immediately. Because a part needed to be ordered, he returned as soon as it was convenient for both of our schedules and fixed my washer. I would definitely recommend his services for others on Angie's List.

Karl responded quickly to my call and determined quickly that it was indeed broken. When he got the replacement, he came to the house and had it installed in about 30 minutes. He also gave us hints on keeping the dishwasher and disposal clean and some suggestions on operating the dishwasher.

It went great!!! My husband was home with the gentleman who came. He was friendly, had attention to detail and completed the job quick. He was knowledgeable and very helpful!!! We would do business again for sure!!!!

I called Karl at 8:30 am on a Saturday. He told me a house call was $49.95 which would be waived if he did the repair. I agreed and he was at the house by 10:15 am. Amazing. He looked at the oven and diagnosed the issue as a non-working control board. Karl said the oven was so old (17 years) that no parts were available. He said he could try to solder the wire and, hopefully, it would work. we agreed that I would pay $180 if it worked or $85 if it didn't. I happily ended up paying the $180. I couldn't be more pleased with his initial response and the outcome. I will absolutely use him for any future needs.

Left email requesting service call before business hours. Owner called within 1 hour, scheduled service call for same day within 6 hours. During the service call, the appliance was diagnosed with a possible faulty motor. As the owners, we did not want to replace the appliance with a new unit, we opted to have the existing appliance repaired. Pricing for a new motor and installation were discussed, the technician recommended replacing a capacitor before we ordered the new motor. Less that 24hrs later, the technician returned, installed the new capacitor and reassembled the appliance in complete working order. It would have been quite easy for the technician to just order the motor and charge us for it. Instead he too the extra time trouble shooting the problem, reducing our bill significantly, reducing the appliance downtime drastically, and gaining a very satisfied customer.

All in all we completed the job in two days and about $350 under budget. I appreciate the professionalism. The tech had to leave twice to buy specific parts for my install and did not charge anything extra for his time or the new parts.

He was asked to assess the unit, and was told to make no repairs without my express permission. He repaired the unit without my consent and then charged my tenant $400, despite my express instruction not to do anything but assess the unit without speaking to me. Then he yelled at me when I spoke to him about it. Rude, unprofessional, and I will never recommend him or use him again. Disappointing service.

I found Budget Appliance Service (BAS) Angie's List, and attempted to contact Karl over the weekend through the BAS website online form. When I got no response by Monday, I called. Karl answered immediately and let me know that my weekend e-mail had not come through -- possibly a problem with the online form or his e-mail program. We quickly agreed to a time for him to come to our home and he was clear about the costs ($45 for the visit, which would be part of the price of service if needed). He arrived on time, quoted the likely price of the service, quickly diagnosed the problem, and removed the old pump. At that point, he discovered that he did not have the precise replacement needed, so he let me know next steps to get the pump, possibly within the next day or two. He got back to us the next day, confirming that he got the pump and arranging a time to return and complete the job. He showed up on time the next day, and quickly made the replacement. Despite the need for a second visit, the price was as quoted, but about $10 more. Total cost was slightly higher than I expected, but still worth the successful repair.

Karl immediately knew the problem. I had researched it on the internet, but could not ascertain how to access the cause. Karl came in and took off the freezer front and the drawer assembly to reach the back of the freezer. He then heated water in the microwave and poured 2 cups of hot water into the slots in the back of the freezer then took a hair dryer and heated up the area where he had poured the water. He then took a small long round tube and inserted it into one of the vent openings and blew into it until he could no longer hear bubbling ( from the trapped water). He then removed a back panel on the lower side of the freezer and found the opening apparatus that drained the water into a holding pan. He went back to the front of the freezer and put his small tube through that drain and showed me that it was unclogged from the ice that had built up in there. He than explained to me it was a design defect that it had caused the water from condensation to get trapped and freeze over the opening of the drain line. I now have the knowledge to be able to correct this should it happen again (probably in about 2 years or so). He as fast, efficient and honest. he quoted me the price before starting and performed the repair to my complete satisfaction.

This company was very friendly and thorough with the service they did. I appreciated that they were able to get it all done in one trip. I did think the price was a little high but at least it is working again.

Karl was prompt, personable, knowledgeable. He was careful not to damage or make a mess (e.g., placed cloths on the granite counter where he had to work, so as not to hurt counter). Especially liked that he allowed me to watch everything, described what he was doing/finding as he went. He alerted me to the possibility that he might find an expensive problem (if element was bad), or that if it was a computer issue he might not be able to fix it. It turned out to be relatively easy fix. In all I was impressed. The only slight negative is the name "Budget Alliance Services" is a bit misleading -the quoted service call fee of $29.95, applied to the final bill, is great. But in hind sight the total of $120 doesn't seem much if any less expensive than other repair services might have been, given the simplicity of fix. Because of many pluses, & because I did not question the price when he told me what it would be (before fixing, but after diagnosis), I'm still satisfied, will use again.

He didn't have the bulb with him, even though I told him I would need it. He brushed off the coils on our fridge and didn't do anything else, even though I told him we were having problems with it. We needed help with our dryer as well, and he hooked it up to some sort of box. I had another plumber come out to actually fix the work.

The Budget Appliance Service technician was prompt and was able to access repair price and time for the 28-year-old built-in microwave. My previous research and the technician's information helped me decide to replace the whole unit with attached electric oven also showing its age with problems. It was well worth the $29.95 for the information.

On time and super polite. Owner does the work. Would highly recommend and use company in the future.

Seemed like a smart and competent guy. Could have drawn us into a very long and expensive repair on a very old range.

I WISH I HAD WRITTEN DOWN THE REPAIRMAN'S NAME, AND I PROBABLY HAVE IT SOMEWHERE... HE WAS ON TIME, VERY POLITE, REASONABLY PRICED AND FAST. I THOUGHT HE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND FOUND THE PROBLEMS RIGHT AWAY. BOTH APPLIANCES ARE OLDER MODELS AND I WAS AFRAID I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO FIX THEM, BUT WOULD HAVE TO BUY NEW.
