Description of Work: A multitude of projects from electrical including fixing outdoor duplex plugs not functioning (a newly purchased home), contractor errors inside, rehanging a light fixture, solving a short problem in a duplex. He also is a jack of all trades regarding house projects (he hung pictures in high places, anchored a wall sink, etc.). Good, friendly and works quick.

Description of Work: This provider had done a lot of handyman work for me, built apart of a fence, electrical, haning christmas lights, etc. The last contact I had with him was by phone, he didn't respond for 2 days, then made an appt and did not show up and did not return by phone calls.

Description of Work: I used this prov over a period of two years and was very satisfied. When I called him in March, he did not call back for 2 days, then we did schdule an appt for the next week and he never showed up and has never called or responded to my calls. Perhaps something happened to him, but, it is too bad that someone did not return his calls or cancel his appt. This demonstrates a lack of responsibility in my opinion.

+ -1 moreBrian went right to work, analyzed the problem, and came up with a reasonably priced solution. He didn't mind me looking over his shoulder and was fun to chat with. A few weeks have passed and the plugs still work.
Description of Work: I had dead electrical plugs in two bathrooms. Neither outlet had a GFI (ground fault circuit interrupter) button and none of the breakers had clicked off, so I knew that a GFI somewhere else in the house had flicked off, affecting these two outlets, but after looking everywhere, I couldn't find it. So I called Brian. He was able to come over the same day and was there right on time. He checked all the relevant circuits with his meters and came to the same conclusion I did. He looked and looked and also couldn't find the problem GFI. If he had to rewire the entire circuit, I knew it would cost a few hundred dollars, but Brian had a more cost-effective solution. He tapped into a nearby live circuit and got the electricity back into the wall plugs. For safety, he replaced the old plug with a new GFI-protected outlet.

He gave us advice on the best way to accomplish what we wanted, and he was spot on with his estimate of costs. There isn't a doubt in my mind that we will hire him again when we need similar services.

+ -1 moreI was very impressed with Brian himself and with his work. He worked quickly, explained what he was doing, and refused to leave until there were no further problems with the breaker box. He could have left as soon as he was done, but chose to stick around until he was sure the job was done right. Brian even called a few hours later to check up on the work and to see if everything was OK. On his card, he refers to himself as, "The Go To Guy".... he more than proved that here. Exceptional service, fair price, personable and responsible. I'll definitely call him in the future for any electrical work. Well done!!
Description of Work: I was having a problem with my electric water heater. After two unsuccessful attempts at fixing it, the plumbers I hired determined that the problem was not the heater itself, but "something electrical". I got Brian's name from Angie's List and called him at 8:30 am. By 10:30 am Brian had arrived at my home. He quickly diagnosed the problem, worked on the breaker box and VOILA ... problem solved! Even after his work was finished, Brian stayed on just to make sure there were no further "electrical problems" as the heater warmed up.
