Description of Work: 1st time buyer of blinds/shades. Blindsgalore website is user friendly and intuitive. Products shown were easy to compare and see. Free samples were sent quickly. Guides & videos for DIY'ers were xcllnt. Speaking with anyone at BG was pleasant and professional. My Design Consultant was Brian and he is fantastic at figuring out my needs and helping me figure out my project. The ability to send him pix & video of my home was like having him there. The products range from name brands to their in house and they were all of good quality, though tended to like the BG builds much more. Good job! The install wasn't as challenging as I thought, but be sure you practice first especially when using anchor screws instead of the provided screws. Overall a great experience and I took advantage of their great sales discounts which cut my budget down to almost half of what I expected to spend!

Description of Work: I was impressed with their customer service department, especially when I incorrectly measured one of my windows . . . I am currently waiting for the replacement blind and have no doubt it will fit as well as the other 10 that I received from them. The guarantee is very good also - the last blind/the wrong sized blind was in an out of the way spot, and it was the last one that I installed, despite the time lapse between delivery and my discovering my error; there was no problem with getting a replacement blind.

+ -1 moreThe first time I ordered Levolor blinds for my home was about a year ago. They were custom fit for my narrow windows and they all fit perfectly. The only problem was that one of the blinds was not the correct color. I called customer service and was happily surprised to speak to a real person immediately. He was very polite and efficient and said that a replacement blind would be sent immediately. I was so pleased with this result that when I needed blinds for another room, I knew I wanted to order from this same company. I realized I had made a mistake with my order several days after I received the confirmation e-mail. I had only ordered one blind instead of two. I called customer services and he added the extra blind to my order and they arrived together, very quickly. I have always found good deals and now with this kind of customer service that I know is available to help me, I highly recommend this website to anyone who is in the market for window treatments.

There are instructions for measuring and installing that guide you through the process. It does require some due diligence on the part of the purchaser to know what kind of windows you have and look at the specifications to verify the blinds will work before ordering. I am a middle ages woman and I installed the blinds in my previous house and I am working to install them in my current house, room by room.
Description of Work: In this house I am using cellular blinds. My most recent purchase was for a large triple window in my living room. It has a large center picture window with 2 small side windows. I ordered 3 shades, they fit beautifully and were easy to install myself. Cellular shades are fairly light. If it were wood blinds I might have needed help with the larger window. In this house I have also installed shades in the master bedroom and I am getting ready to order a set for one of the other bedrooms. I highly recommend Blinds Galore.

I week or so after I placed the order a woman from Blinds Galore called and informed me the color I had chosen was no longer available and she gave me the options that were available and I selected a new color. She was very helpful and apologized for the inconvenience and said my order would be bumped up and I should have my blinds in about 2-3 weeks. I then recieved an email on 5/25 stating the estimated ship date for the window treatment is 6/3/13. That date came and went. I called Blinds Galore on or around 6/19 and spoke to a man who said the ship date was now pushed out to 6/28/13 and told me to be patient in a very condescending manner. I was in shock that a customer service representative was so rude and unhelpful. Then on 7/1/13 I recieved another email from Blinds Galore stating the estimated ship date for my window treatments is now 7/31/13. I immediately called and asked to cancel my order and to refund my payment. The person who I spoke to was helpful and seemed to understand why I wanted to cancel. Hopefully I receive a refund in a timely manner - I was told it would take 3-5 days for my card to be credited - we will see.
Description of Work: I ordered woven shades for the windows in my bedroom from Blinds Galore online. We just moved and our windows on the front of the house are large and I have been having a hard time finding shades that were wide enough and didn't cost an arm and a leg.
