Description of Work: My garbage disposal stopped working. The plumber came promptly and fixed it within minutes--turns out it was unplugged! I couldn't see the plug behind the hoses. He was very gracious and did not charge me, though I would have been glad to pay for his time. We have used Bill Howe for years and will continue to do so.

Description of Work: I have used Bill Howe for years but a clogged bathtub cleaning failure has put them on my bad list. The plumber sent out did not unclog the bathtub, but left a mess behind when he left in a huff when I challenged his diagnosis of the problem. Later my credit card was charged approximately $150. Sorry Bill, but no more business from me.

Description of Work: Fixed toilet and shower in the master bath. They are both working properly and they fixed the shower so the hot is on the correct side. It was reversed when I moved in. They were unable to fix the intermittent flush problem with my powder room toilet.

Description of Work: We had several issues and they kept re-scheduling because they wanted to bring all contractors that might be necessary all at the same time. We felt the quotes given were far out of line and also they were recommending work that we felt didn't necessarily need to be done to increase the cost of the job. Honestly, we could do the job ourselves but with a very ill child (leukemia) we do not have time. We will most likely get a handyman or do it ourselves.

Description of Work: I had a non-draining bath tub when I scheduled the visit. However, it cleared just prior to Charles' arrival. In the interim I had a higher priority problem - the kitchen sink clogged. | |Upon Charles' arrival the checked the tub to verify that it was clearing properly. It was ok. He then turned to the kitchen sink, verified the problem and checked the clean-out. The disassembled the u-pipe under the sink and snaked it to remove the "gunk". Then he reassembled the pipes, cleaned up any mess and was done in 15 minutes. He did a neat, quick job. | |I was fully satisfied.

Description of Work: We had a chronic slow drain in our bathtub. We tried all the chemical and snake remedies with no luck. Finally, we called in the plumber. He snaked it and then attempted to describe a few far fetched explanations as to why we constantly have the problem. He even suggested we need to tear out walls to inspect for a leak that did not seem reasonable to have. Luckily we did not pay them for that work. Two weeks later, my wife, tired of the problem decided to attack it herself and pulled out what looked like a hotel shampoo small plastic bottle from the drain. Don't know why my wife was able to find the solution when a PAID, professional (?) plumber couldn't.

Description of Work: It's been several years since I had Bill Howe install a new water heater, and the job was well done. I should have gotten estimates from other plumbers; I thought his bill was far too high.

Description of Work: They lined a portion of our main pipe carrying all water waste to the hook- up with the city pipes in the alley. We previously had much trouble with tree roots which clogged the plumbing.
