I've had good experiences with Bill Howe Plumbing before, but these two young men were remarkable. It was a pleasure to watch and overhear them working together. They were well-equipped, cheerful even late on a Saturday, and took great pride in their work; they were concerned not only with doing the job but doing it right and—this is the first time I've ever heard a plumber use this word—"ethically."

Work was completed professionally, with a commitment to working with us to provide full satisfaction. I would recommend this company again and use them myself. Only challenge was that subcontractor they recommended for cabinets was backed up, which caused a time delay in completing the job. Wait was worth it to get it done correctly.

It went very well. They were prompt and kept their work clean. Mike was the lead plumber and courteous as well as skillful. He let me watch everything he did and that didn't bother him at all. Nice fellow. Good value too. They were prompt and didn't waste time. Did the smoke test, pulled both toilets and reinstalled them with new double wax rings and resealed the toilets to the floor. They even tightened the seat bolts which were a little loose.

They installed the a different model than what we agreed to and what was listed on our contract. The only reason we found out was because they did not give us any instruction manuals so we didn't know how to operate the units. They have multiple settings. We kept requesting the manuals and they kept telling us they would drop one off. After a few weeks when we had requested the manuals repeatedly and they never arrived, we tried to find them online and discovered they had installed the wrong and lesser units. We called and wanted a refund for the difference (and our manuals!) and they refused. My husband's brother works in the air conditioning business in another part of the country and confirmed the units would have been at least 200 dollars cheaper. The cost of the installation was $8000. They ended up giving us a free annual maintenance which is standard customer service anyway. Just own up to your mistakes and pay the difference, don't make a customer have to work so hard to get what they paid for. It's simple basic customer service. And we still don't have manuals, although we did finally download them from the internet.

Bill Howe Plumbing was able to schedule an appointment later the same day we called for repair of a water supply line we broke during DIY landscaping. They were very responsive and reasonable in the price, particularly given that it was an emergency on a Saturday. They cut out the pierced piece of copper pipe and replaced the section with a new piece. Everything was done quickly and efficiently, and they turned on the city water valve so we could get on with our day (no more landscaping) without delay.

The technician did the maintenance and said that the furnace was old but running ok. recommended a new furnace eventually. he reassured me that it was fine for now.

How did it go? Fantastic!! Able to schedule for service the next day when I was able to be here - something I paid a premium for, but was worth it. Fantastic! Laurence called earlier than expected, and gave me the option for him to come by during a much less disruptive part of my day. Fantastic! Diagnosed the issue expertly, going from the least expensive repairs to the more expensive, in a clear and methodical way. Found the issue on the third sub-systems, and prescribed a cost effective solution. Fantastic. Easy recommendation!

I had previously given Lawrence (technician) a wonderful review for a past visit but I have to say this experience was very poor and has made me decide to take my business elsewhere for perhaps a $10,500 new system. I called because only 2 weeks prior they replaced a blown fuse and it had blown again. I had been made aware at that time that this would be a recurrent problem because of bad wiring and that I needed to consider replacing the entire system. So I figured that he could put another fuse in today and write me up a formal quote for a new system. Well, he was clearly annoyed at having to come out again and had a completely different demeanor towards me, giving confusing and conflicting explanations of the problem and solution, and even visibly taking a deep breath and closing his eyes when I said I was confused. Impatient and patronizing, to say the least. First he said it needed a $700 module, then he said that wouldn't work and a new system was the only answer. I asked him for a formal quote for the new system and he quickly replied with a verbal number of $10,400 but did not write anything down or give me anything. The situation shifted again when he suddenly declared that a $700 module would indeed fix the problem and when I said OK he turned and walked outside to his truck and drove away. I was puzzled and unsure of what that meant. No paperwork for the pending order of the module, no ticket for today's visit?? I had to call the company and let them know what had happened and to ask what was going on. After telling the service manager that I did not want him to have Lawrence contact me or return to my house, I received a call from Lawrence saying "What's up?" I told him to cancel any pending order for service at my house. I will be contacting another company for service. Such a shame because I had really like this company and had even recommended it some friends recently. I understand that people have bad days sometimes and are not at their best, but this really turned me off considering I was thinking of making such a major investment in them.

It is a family run company and they have been fine. They were very good. I have no complaints. It works. They came out anytime we needed them. Their responsiveness was good. They were always nice. We got everything we wanted from them.

The gentleman who came was very nice, but he only was at my house for 10 minutes. All he did was take a cursory look at my furnace and electrical box. I own a manufactured home, so all work needs to be done under the house, which he never bothered to check. I have since had two other estimates done and both men went under the house and took measurements and didn't leave until they had handed me a written bid. The man from Bill Howe said he would email me a bid. It's been a week and I haven't heard from him since. Also, the Verbal Bid he give me as he was leaving was almost $2000 more than anyone else.

We learned that we had a leaking & draining out water heater in a.m. ?Put in a call to Bill Howe Plumbing for approx. times and pricing. ? Repairman Edger called a short time later to come and look as he was nearby. ? He came and explained in good detail what would be required and to bring everything up to code as our last one lasted 20 yrs. ? As things did not work out for him to get an early start that afternoon - he made appoint. to come first thing in a.m. As per arrangements he and a helper Miguel came early next a.m. and started right to work. ? They both got everything in and again went over all parts and up to date code items in about 1 1/2 hrs. Edger was very professional, personable, and knew his product. ?Just the sort of repairman you hoped would work on your equipment. ?(I did not talk with Miquel but am sure he would be fine also)

Jorge K. was the plumber that came out. They called ahead of time before they arrived. The service was fantastic. He is the only plumber/plumbing company I would use in the future!

On budget, on time, courteous, did a great job

This was not an emergency situation, but we needed it fixed soon. The scheduling process was easy and we got someone to visit the next day. The technician was friendly and very knowledgable. He helped diagnose the issue, presented a couple of solutions and implemented what we discussed.

We called Bill Howe Plumbing and set up an appointment, the dispatcher was very friendly listening to our situation and making notes for the technician. Our technician Allan (#535) called to let us know he was on the way and arrived right on time, very punctual. He got to work right away and cleared our back yard drain. Allan was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. After clearing our backyard drain he preformed a line test ensuring the issues were resolved. At the end of the day this service call was only $136.00, and saved us thousands of dollars. We had recently tried another company rooter hero who wanted to break up our cement and replace our backyard line at a cost of $3,400!!! We're very happy that we called Bill Howe Plumbing who was able to offer great pricing and customer service. Thanks again Allan and the Bill Howe team, you sure do know howe!

This is my second review for Bill Howe and we are as impressed with the service we received this time as we did the first time. Matthew came by about a week before our date of service to inspect an old water heater that had finally met its limit and started leaking. He gave us a fair quote on the spot and we scheduled the service. (I might take a minute here to say that scheduling and customer service calls are promptly answered by Bill Howe staff who are courteous and helpful. Compliments all around!) Matthew came by on the 8th of December and completed the work in a few hours time. He was courteous, professional, and efficient. The work he performed was fantastic and we continue to enjoy a functional, safe water heater (that works much better than our old one) today. We highly recommend Bill Howe Plumbing.

The drain system on our first floor is complicated and after a day and half of snaking and chemicals no luck. Called Bill Howe about 10:20 on Sunday since we were starting to get back drainage into tub, etc. They said they could get there in 3-4 hours, that it would be overtime charge- minimum $195 if we could find the cleanout and as much as $600 if they had to pull a toilet or go onto the roof. They put us in touch with Nate T who said he would be there 2:30-3:30. We prepped as best we could- he arrived about 3:10 and (because it was complicated layout) with a little help turning faucets on and off he proposed a plan of attack. He was able to clear the clog first try and then worked through the rest of the system to make sure no other issues. He left with instructions for further flushing, how/where to look if things came up in future, and promised to come back if any issues cropped up (30 day warranty). System is working better than anytime in recent memory! Nate was very personable, considerate, and scrupulous- will definitely call on Howe in future if needed. Price might seem steep but given I had been thrashing the problem for a long time, had probably spent $125 on supplies, and it being a Sunday, it was a bargain to us!

The reamed out this pipe with air and rebuilt the condition pipe at the heater / AC unit.

They came out to fix the water main. Since it was a emergency and it was in the evening they jerry rigged the pipe for a quick fix. They ended up making instead of one connection they put in 4 joints. Then today it failed and i got them to come back out. Instead of doing it correctly they did another jerry rig with 18 joints instead of doing it properly.

Did not like the attitude of the estimator. I think the approximate prices were way over what others estimated
