I finally called & got a young lady, Corey, whom listened to me sob for what must have been 45 min about my situation & how used I felt. She explained to me that she would look into the situation & would give me a call back in no more then 30 minutes. 10 minutes later my phone rang & it was her, explaining to me that the technician hadn't followed company policy & it was to be corrected immediately. She discussed with her "GM" whom lowered the price to $1600.00 which after checking around was the base price for the work I had done. I was so thrilled with the outcome that I jumped for joy, but I was quite confused of the lack of response I received to begin with. The young lady explained to me that she was just another office employee but that didn't mean she couldn't help me. I was curious why no one else in the office could help me but she was on it in 10 minutes. I will most likely never use this company again but I thank those 2 individuals who helped me & heard me out. 4/2007

The pipe broke on Sunday night and the leak was so fast that we had to shut off the water to the house. We called Bill Howe Plumbing, they picked up the phone on the first ring, and said they would call us back shortly. We scheduled with them for first thing Monday morning. The plumber showed up promptly and had an estimate ready in 15 minutes. He did the job exactly according to the estimate, staying here most of the day to finish up. Once he left, our front lawn looked as if nothing had ever happened. The only reason I cannot comment on the price is that this is the only estimate we got.

He was very kind, good and he reported to the condo people that the slab leak was not in my house and got a leak specialist out here. He was very kind to me, the association was pressing for him to look further into my house and the plumber was telling them it's just not there.

It went very well. The office called to tell us the repairman was running late and the repairmen himself called to tell us that he got caught in heavy traffic but was on his way. When he arrived he was very efficient, quick, and professional. I do feel the price was a bit high.

They were extremely slow, didn't get the job done. They didn't know anything about installing the faucet and even had to get the owner's manual out to try to install it. After 3 hours they still did not have the faucets installed so rather than paying an addt'l charge I had them stop and I will be getting another company to finish the work.

THE TECHNICIAN WAS VERY POLITE HOWEVER STEVE NEVER SPOKE OF ANY PRICE DIFFERENCE AND WHEN HE TOLD ME TO CONTACT HIS SUPERVISOR I WAS MORE THAN HAPPY TO PAY WHAT WAS QUOTED. IN READING OTHER REPORTS NOW ABOUT THIS COMPANY I SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE AWARE OF THE BULLY EFFORT THIS COMPANY HAS ON DOING WORK AND MAKING YOU PAY A HIGHER PRICE OR BE THREATENED WITH A LIEN. I REPORTED THIS COMPANY TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. WHEN I SPOKE TO JOHN PADILLA ABOUT THE COST DIFFERENCE HE COULD HAVE CARED LESS ABOUT ANGIE'S LIST, THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU OR ANYONE ELSE. HE WAS RUDE & ABRUPT IN SPEAKING TO A WOMEN/CUSTOMER OVER THE PHONE. I DIDN'T LIKE BEING THREATENED BY HIM. BEWARE OF "EVER" HIRING THIS COMPANY. WHEN I ASKED TO SPEAK TO BILL HOWE, JOHN PADILLA TOLD ME THAT I WOULD NEVER SPEAK TO ANYONE ELSE EXCEPT HIM. WHEN TRYING TO RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM WITH JOHN IT WAS HORRIBLE. THE TECHNICIAN WAS VERY POLITE & OVERALL A GREAT GUY, HOWEVER HE EVEN SAID TO ME THAT THERE WAS MISTAKES MADE & SORRY.

They set up an appointment 2 days later, at my request, in order to be the first appointment of the morning. The fellow arrived on time, told me the rates and options depending on how much work would be required, and completed the work very quickly and to my satisfaction. Needed to snake it further than I could reach, and his expertise with how to snake the drain was much better than my own.

When he installed the wall mount that I purchased, he could not get the wall mount to stop dripping and the washers started to disintegrate so he took it down and tried the one he had in his truck. He suggested I purchase one from Bill Howe Plumbing. He was able to fix one of the drips in the other faucets and had trouble with the others but came the next day and was able to fix them with another part. I felt their price was high.

At first it was good, they came out when asked, and turned up on time. THEN IT WENT DOWNHILL. The plumber told us that we needed a new valve set because the house was old and could not be replaced. He left for about 2 hours to get the parts and charged us for it. AT THE END OF IT HE GAVE US A BILL FOR $600 which we had no idea was coming. He never gave us an estimate or hourly rate. We emailed Bill Howe to find out what the charge should have been and they never bothered getting back to us. Also it was leaking and he agreed to come back and fix it. He never showed for the appointment did not return our phone calls for about 2 days at a time, and in the mean time we had to change our schedule around to suit them. I would not use them again.

The work performed was good quality. Getting the plumber to start working, however, was another story. He showed up for an evaluation six hours AFTER the promised time frame, during which time I had to call for updates, which were not forthcoming. He did not start work until the next day at noon, because the company "lost" twice the fax with my signed authorization. Throughout, the company's management was extremely curt, to the border of rudeness, despite having caused me to miss work for a full day. After work was complete, I had to repeatedly ask to see a bill as well as the inspection report, which were, for some reason, not immediately available...

The plumbing company called about a half hour before arrival, and the plumber arrived on time. I showed the plumber the two leaky toilets, and he set to work and was able to repair them using spare parts that I had available. He explained to me the mechanics of toilets. The plumber asked me if I had other issues with my plumbing, and I told him about a hot water issue. He showed me a way to get hot water faster in all my sinks and did not charge extra. He was a really friendly and knowledgeable guy.

My water heater that was still under warranty (previously installed by Bill Howe as well) started leaking so I called Bill Howe out to replace the unit under warranty. They responded the same day and replaced the unit. The technician (Anton) was very professional and told me about all the charges up front. Although I almost choked on the warranty replacement cost of almost $500 ($175 for code upgrade and $315 for labor), plus another $100 for installing the new valve, I suspect these charges are in line with other plumbers.

They came out that same day and, although a bit late, they kept me informed of their delay and stayed until the job was finished.

Bill Howe sent a plumber who as it turned out didn't have a clue how to install this type of sink. I had all the correct parts and in fact another plumber did this perfectly 3 days later. He tried to tell me that the sink was too small for the hole cut and would fall right through. I tried to tell him how the rim supported the sink (as had been explained to me at AO Reed) but he disagreed with me. He wasted some time talking with his office to find me a larger sink. Because of him I wasted time believing him and tried to return the sink to AO Reed, in the meanwhile worrying about maybe needing a new countertop cut and installed. Bill Howe may know how to fix leaks but this associate did not know how to install this type of sink. His 45 minutes spent with us telling us this sink wouldn't fit gave me nightmares but he didn't charge for the visit, thankfully.

Work was prompt, quick, thorough, effective, and guaranteed.

Their price was cheaper by far than everyone else. It was really good.

Plumber concluded the water heater did not need to be raised because it was in an enclosed room, with adequate ventilation, and there was an 18'' sill which prevented vapors from reaching the pilot light. To confirm this, the plumber called two of his colleagues and described the location of the water heater and they confirmed it did not need tob moved.

Excellent experience but price seemed high

I gave an "A" on everything but their pricing. I just thought that their pricing was exorbitant.

Jesse was very polite and professional, apologized for being late, and got right to work. He identified the source of the leak and fixed it. Since I essentially paid for an hour of his time, he was very agreeable to check a few other problem areas around the house, and made suggestions for future purchase of fixtures, etc. The price was high for what was done, but was exactly as estimated. (As they say the plumber charges $5 for turning the bolt and $90 for knowing which bolt to turn.)

Prompt, reasonable and friendly. Would definitely use again.

The person answering the phone was courteous and very helpful. She scheduled a three hour window for the following day, and the plumber arrived at the beginning of the window. The shop called and advised me that the plumber was on his way approximately 1/2 hour before arrival. The plumber (Anthony) was polite, professional, and he completed his work in a timely manner.

Rates were not as low as advertised and charged $50 for the time it took to write the bill.

Very fast and very reasonable price. The first time we had the back bathroom cleared, another company charged us $179.

They were incredibly responsive. They responded within 1 hour of my call. They unclogged the drain and wrote a comprehensive report. I would use them again.
