They worker who showed up is a clean plummer. They usally show up and do quality work for a good price. I have used them maybe five times and once or twice they have done amazing things.

My problem was that there was a leak in my front lawn sprinkler at the manifold which distributed water to several sprinkler lines. The plumber told me he could not shut off the water to the manifold because the valve for this was frozen. He then told me he could not shut off the valve at the water meter because that valve was frozen too. He said that both valves and the pipe between them needed to be replaced. I said go ahead, but to not connect the new valve to the manifold since I was worried about the cost, (unknown and not quoted yet). When he finished I was presented with a bill for about $2500 and, of course, I still had a non-working sprinkler system which I eventually fixed myself.

I use them for years. They are city wide. It is a pretty large company. So usually when I call them, they would send someone right away if it is necessary. I liked them and I've never been unhappy. I use them most of the time. I would recommend them because they are very available. I need not wait for 4 to 6 weeks to get things done. They are polite and efficient and I believe that their pricing is also competitive.

It went very well. They don't have a travel charge. They are on time and perfect.

The technician found very easily what the issue was (gas valve) but also took time to check the thermometer connection to make sure there was no hidden other issue. As he did not have the corresponding part with him, it was ordered. Prior to ordering the part, the technician let me know the pricing and asked if i was agreeing on it. Time for the part to arrive, the whole work was completed within roughly 10 days.

It worked out well. The tenant was very happy.

The experience was a very good one. They called me back and scheduled an appointment promptly. The plumber showed up on time, diagnosed the problem, resolved it quickly and did not charge me for the visit. He made some suggestions and gave estimates for additional work at my request. I would not hesitate to use them again.

While it took a little time to do the job, most of the time was due to the condition of the old water heater and the fact that it was located inside its own closet inside the house. Patrick was very professional and let me know at all times what was going on and what & why things needed to be done. While the price was a little higher than originally estimated, the increase was largely due to having to bypass the unused regulator (it was causing flow issued). The need for that did not become apparent until the water was turned on after the water heater replacement. Overall a very professional and satisfying experience.

Went smoothly by a dedicated staff of several employees over many necessary well-timed visits. I was impresed with the willingness to communicate to me what was going on every step of the way and the warranty.

They call to confirm inspector was about to arrive, he came 20 minutes later. Noticed the problem since the beginning, gave us all the details of what he was doing, offered solution, super professional.

I purchased the new expansion tank from Home Depot, and I pre-charged it to the correct air pressure before the plumber arrived. When he arrived, the plumber and I discussed what needed to be done, and he suggested by far the best solution. He then proceeded to remove the old expansion tank and install the new one, using hard plumbing (copper). The tank is now attached to and supported by a horizontal copper pipe that in turn is solidly secured to two garage joists with c-clamps. He even used copper c-clamps! (Which, of course, help prevent corrosion.) The end result was a beautiful job of plumbing. My tank is now installed in a way that is very secure mechanically and in a functionally correct manner. I have no idea how he managed to remove the old tank without getting a single drop of water on anything anywhere (I wasn't watching), but he did. I've been using Bill Howe plumbing for a very long time, and this job affirmed my confidence in them.

Their service was just like everybody else. They seem like they knew what they were doing. They had a good rating.

The service went very well. The big deal was for $70 and there was a part that we had to purchase. I would highly recommend them. I wasn't here at the time, it was my husband who was here.

I am very pleased with him. I have used him several times.

Our Lennox forced air heater ( 15 years in service) sometimes would operate and other times just hear clicking sounds. Contacted an HVAC company that I previously used. While the tech was here the furnace worked perfectly. They replaced the thermostat as a first and least expensive step. That did not solve the problem. Had that tech return and again while he was here, the furnace worked. He did not doing any diagnostic testing as far as the circuit board, ignition switch or motor. He advised me to call the next time it acts up as there is nothing he could do to determine that problem while the unit was working. That ended any future contact with that company. Got on Angie's List to check out Bill Howe Plumbing, Inc. and not only was pleased with what I read but they were also offering a special of 30 minutes diagnostic testing at 50% off their regular rate. Called and spoke with a very pleasant individual who was aable to set up a service call that afternoon. Wayne arrived on time (another very pleasant individual). Gave him situation and he went about checking out the system. He found that the ignition switch was bad and replaced that. All working fine. The furnace problem then came up again later that day so I called and Wayne returned immediately. Found that the motor, that had been checked, failed and needed to be replaced. Wayne ordered that part and returned to install when it arrived. Wayne did an excellent job and I am very pleased with his approach to the problem; his diagnostic procedures; the interest he took in the situation; and his responsiveness to my calls. This was during some very cold nights and that left us even more appreciative that Bill Howe sent a tech that could remedy the problem (unlike the tech from another company). When the time comes to replace our entire heating and air conditioning my first call will be to Bill Howe.

I would never use their services nor would I ever recommend them. I have never had such a rude unprofessional Plumber (Matthew) come to my house. He was Arrogant and sarcastic,rude and very unhelpful. All he cared about was going home. He did not want to be at my house helping me solve my major issue of a hot water leak in my house. He tried to charge me to go under the house when I was told it was a free Visual inspection. He tried to call somebody else to go under the house because he did not want to. He would not give me an estimate or look at my leak and give me a fair estimate of what it would cost he kept saying "it's $150 an hour plus parts" he would not tell me how many hours and what part . He did not look at my situation at all. It was 5 o'clock and all he wanted to do was leave..He also said " it was almost after 5 o'clock night hours would cost more I told him I want a legitimate estimate with you actually looking at what the problem is. He went outside to his truck came back with an estimate and wrote $150 an hour plus parts. Needless to say I told him to leave. } I also think he had an attitude because I had another plumbing company here before he got here. I have a major hot water leak and I was being responsible by getting two estimates. The other plumber was leaving when he got here no interaction whatsoever. I talked to a supervisor after he left to let them know what it happened and all she did was make excuses for him. I will say the other plumbing company did charge me $200 to go look under my house and was very pleasant and very helpful. Needless to say I hired them to come out the next day and fix it.

Contacted the company by message from Angie's list and they got back to me within the hour both by phone and message reply. As this wasn't an emergency we scheduled for first available between 9:00 and 12:00. They provided a call 30 minutes before the plumber arrived. Work was professional and quick. After realizing the wax ring wasn't seated properly he removed the old and replaced it with taller ring. Once that was completed, he determined the wax ring was only a symptom and a clogged drain was the problem. As I didn't describe a clogged pipe in the initial call, our plumber didn't have the equipment to so a second call will be needed to clear the drain line. I'll update this review when that work is completed. I would have no trouble recommending this company and do plan on using them for the drain clearing.

I purchased the $79 deal for 1 hour of HVAC service. James from Bill Howe came out and diagnosed a blown fuse in the thermostat box which he replaced. I really appreciated that he did not try to sell me an entire new heating/cooling system. He replaced my filter, and showed me how to program my thermostat. He was very professional. The next week I tried to run my furnace and it would not come on. I called Bill Howe and they sent James back out the very same day! He quickly diagnosed that the problem was a faulty wiring connection to the furnace that was blowing the fuse in the thermostat. He fixed the wires at no additional charge. Following both visits a representative from Bill Howe called to make sure that I was satisfied with the service. I highly recommend this company!

I have used Bill Howe in the past for plumbing services and been happy with the work they did and this time is no different when they completed the repairs / maintenance on my heating unit. The appointment was scheduled promptly. The work that needed to be done was diagnosed and explained to me clearly. The repairs were made at the same time and costs were very reasonable. They accepted my Angie's List discount without any problems as well. The person who completed the repairs was very friendly and professional. The whole process couldn't have been handled better, I will absolutely call Bill Howe the next I have a need. Steve C.

They were very professional and the quality of the work was excellent. They did a great job. They came in when they were supposed to and did the work when they said they were going to do it. They were here within a day after I first called them.

It went very well! He was very efficient.

The person that came didn't seem to know what to do. He had to leave and get a different machine. He asked me if I wanted him to go get a bigger machine. He didn't seem confident in his abilities. He was here for a long time, about 4 hours or so. He cleaned out the first part, but shoved a lot of it to the main line which created more clogs. I had this fixed with a different company.

Cleaned main sewer line. Had to come back out and redo. Paid extra for another 100 ft. of clean out.

We've been using Howe's for several years now. We contact them whenever we have plumbing issues arise at our rental property. They have been very good. They are always prompt and responsive. If they are ever running late to an appointment they call to let us know.
