The coupon offers four hours of wood rot repair, however it wasn't honored regardless of how big or small the task was. I wanted rotten wood replaced on a side gate which is not a four hour job. The coupon was useless. Once again, I'm very disappointed. I want my $149 back.

The jobs went extremely well. Jose and Gabe are very courtesy, professional and a well orchestrated team. They're very well organized and jobs went smoothly. They displayed a high level of integrity to do a good job and no detail was too small. They took time to properly prepare and paint materials to prevent future water ingress and/or termite damage. Top quality products were used plus paint color was a perfect match. Daily they left the worksite clean and orderly. They also repaired drywall and stucco which went very smoothly. The drywall repair is extraordinary! There is no sign of prior problems. Texture and paint are a perfect match. Highly recommend Best Rate Repair Co. All aspects of project from initial office contact, work estimator to the work performed is beyond expectations. Jose and Gabe are exceptional!

It went well. Price was a little high to me but I think that has more to do with my being somewhat naive about the cost of home repairs. They did extensive wood replacement to the fascia boards around the roof of the house. They were prompt, courteous and even threw in an extra board that the painter recommended be replaced and when I asked about it, they said they were not going to add it onto the charge. When Don came out to due to estimate, I remembered that I had previously had this company come out to my house about a year ago for an estimate on repairing the bottom of a wooden porch post that was embedded in concrete under a wooden deck. Although Don could have booked the job, he was really honest about it and told me it was not load-bearing and we should wait to do the repair until we were replacing the deck or it would have to be redone. I appreciated his honesty so when he gave me an estimate on the fascia boards, I felt comfortable that he had enough integrity to do a good job at a fair price, whiich they did.

It was worth it and that included getting the lumber.

AT FIRST WE THOUGHT THE ESTAIMATE WAS A LITTLE HIGH UNTIL WE REALIZED 5 OF THE BOARDS WERE 14 FT LONG AND 4 OF THE BOARDS WERE 7 FT LONG. ALL HAD TO BE CUSTOM CUT REDWOOD TO FIT AND LOOK UNIFORM. SERGIO WHO DID THE WORK IS A PATIO REPAIR GENIUS. HE TOOK A LOT OF TIME MAKING SURE OUR PATIO WAS IN THE BEST OF CONDITION WHEN HE WAS WORKING. NO DETAIL TO SMALL. PAINT MATCH WAS GREAT AND NO MESS LEFT BEHIND. WE WOULD DEFINITLY USE BEST RATE REPAIR AGAIN

After 30 years in San Diego I've learned that maintaining wood structures in this climate is a constant battle between dry rot and termites. I have a wood deck that's been completely re-built twice and a wood fence that's been repaired more times than I can count. Over the years I have worked with several contractors so I have a long track record for comparison. This was the first time I used Best-Rate Repair, and they are the best in my experience. Over all the years of repairs I've learned that if the wood is not prepared properly to prevent the ingress of water, the end result is more frequent and expensive repairs, so it pays to get it done right the first time to avoid future problems. Best-Rate specializes in exterior construction and they pay attention to important details in construction to avoid water intrusion. They use quality materials. The work is very organized. Mike Spencer communicates all the details and specifics to the crew, so when they arrive, everyone already knows what to do and things run very smoothly. Afterwards, they do a good clean-up and leave things neat and tidy. As you can tell from the high ratings, this company is very service oriented, but what sets it apart from others is the intelligence it offers. They have managed to assemble a group of seasoned veterans who are very knowledgeable and highly competent in evaluating challenging or difficult construction situations. When you combine intelligent solutions with flawless execution, that's hard to beat. As I mentioned before, our fence has been repaired multiple times in the past. The original construction left out critical ground supports so the only thing keeping the fence straight was a long fence cap which was held on with multiple screws. The fence cap became infested with termites, so it had to be replaced. The problem was that as soon as the cap would be removed, the fence would revert to looking like a crooked snake. To prevent this from happening, they had to construct several braces to the ground before removing the cap and use a very long redwood cap to straighten the fence. They used 45 degree angle seams and long 6" screws to fuse 16 footers into one very long 54' board. They primed and painted all 6 sides prior to installation to deter future rot and termites. Since the original termite-infested cap was screwed on, they had to use a Sawzall to get the cap off. This was not an easy job, but they handled it with grace. This company knows it's business well. They work very hard and deserve a 10 out of 10 for knowledge, ingenuity, execution and good service.

Job went fine. They were punctual and did a good job.

I never went through with the order even though I had an estimate. One concern I had was one area to be fixed did not have a set estimate for the job but rather it was open-ended depending on what the technician may have found beneath what was inspected visually.

We needed this accomplished prior to getting our house painted and installing rain gutters. They did a great job.

Estimator came over to look at what needed to be done, and to talk about it. I quickly realized I needed a general contractor, not just some wood repair

They knew that I was on a time crunch to get the repairs done for a termite re-inspection required for my VA loan. They changed their schedule around to do the work just a couple of days after they provided a fair quote.

Well, except that the worked did not have a proper ladder to seal the steepest side of the chimney.

This is second time I've used Best Rate for repairs on my apartments. Both times they provided a fair assessment of required work (including advising me against doing something that wasn't necessary). Work was performed on time and budget and of good quality. On the most recent job the stabilized the rails very well compared to a prior vendor who tried to do it on the cheap. Both jobs required repainting patched stucco or replaced door frames and you'd never know work was done the paint match was so good. They are always responsive. Lilly in the office is easy to work with and thorough.

The estimate and management from Don was efficient and responsive. The crew was professional, courteous and cleaned up the site very well every day.

Best Rate was great. Mike Spencer came out and did an estimate and described the process for me. He was prompt on email answering my belated questions as well. Robert and (another) Mike did all the work over 3 days -- built supports to hold up the deck as they removed the beam, replaced the beam, checked the supports, painted everything to match the existing structure, and cleaned up completely. They did a very nice job -- you can't even tell now that the main beam was removed and replaced because they put everything back together so well. They were prompt, professional, courteous and very helpful answering my questions. I heartily recommend Best Rate and would not hesitate to call on them again.

from the moment I pushed my finger through a door frame with extensive termite damage, I had started to panic. this is our rental building as well as our home. The company called me back promptly, meet with me quickly and provided an work bid and proposal for fumigation. Thanks to David Rubio, for calming my nerves and helping with the coordinating tenants and distributing information and supplies He came back more than once or twice to accommodate our tenants schedules and made the whole process a LOT easier than it could have been, He checked and double checked our protection of our foods and medicines and went to each unit to do so. That took a lot of the burden off my shoulders and allowed me to do what I needed as a tenant of the building to get prepared as well The only complaint I have is the lack of communication with us at the end, when the building had been cleared for re-entry, following the fumigation. I would have liked to have had a phone call telling me that we were ok to come home at 11:30 when the fumigators posted the clearance instead of having to drive home at 5 to see if we were good. I think that probably, was outside David's area as the fumigator that did the testing and clearing of the air and posted the signs didn't seem to provide him any more info than he did me. I maintained contact with David all weekend long and he was very patient and helpful. Thanks again guys for a great job! the Door looks GREAT ! Looking forward to the next job!

This is the third time I've used Best Rate Repair. Mike Spencer came out to look at my latest problem, and provided me an estimate. Dennis then came out a few days later and did the work as proposed. Cost was reasonable. Work was done well.

It went well. He removed and installed the new painted lumber. I think the job should have had two men but he got it done well.

The job turned out really nice. Tyson did a really good job. The only problem was, when I initially set up the appointment, Mike said it would be easier if I purchase the paint beforehand. I agreed, and asked if I also needed to purchase the wood and he said no, that they had the wood materials. They also wanted to come at 7:30am and I asked for a later appointment. Tyson ended up showing up at 7:30am and did not have any of the wood materials. Aside from these issues, I did end up with a nice finished product at a fair price and they cleaned up well.

Service person was on time and completed all requested repairs.
