Description of Work: They installed a new furnace and coil for the air conditioner. They explained to us that by getting the high efficient furnace, it would help the performance of the mid level air conditioner. The new furnace is very efficient and extremely quiet.

Description of Work: It went well. They arrived on time to do a furnace tune-up. We had been having a bit of trouble with the fan not turning off when the heater turned off. They gave us the info on the part and would have ordered and installed it for us, but we decided not to do it at this time. They came back to give us an estimate on a new furnace, and again were very professional.

Description of Work: Service Technician Scott was on time, polite and professional. He thoroughly inspected my aging Rheem package unit, and corroborated my estimate of the unit's age. He did far more than the SDG&E technician ever did (but again, SDG&E does not charge for their inspection), opening all the access panels and pulling the fan unit out to inspect the fire tubes and evaporator coils and fins. He then checked the refrigerant charge, found it to be low, and discovered a slight leak at both refrigerant schraeder valves. Considering the unit is about 20 to 25 years old and uses R-22 refrigerant, Scott informed me servicing the unit would cost over $500 for the refrigerant alone, and I may want to consider buying a more efficient system. I am now considering his advice and shopping around. Excellent service for the price paid.

Description of Work: I had originally purchased a heating inspection via Angie's list, but never used it. They allowed me (thank you!) to use the coupon for a central air inspection instead. I was having problems keeping the house cool and the air coming out of the vents wasn't cool. Tech was on time, determined correctly what the problem was (leaking coolant), but suggested we spend $1100 on services to repair. We knew that a new unit would be 2-3K, so we declined.

Description of Work: We had ASI out here about seven years ago. They were expensive, unbelievably rude and removed the freon without our knowledge. Took advantage I believe, of the fact that we are elderly. We have passed the word on how awful they were, and even though the contact was a long time ago, it left a lasting impression on our minds, and I wanted to share our experience with your readers. I have no idea how they even stay in business with employees like these folks. |My suggestion to your readers is to call someone else!
