My husband and I are so pleased with the job that Will Arnzen did. He worked diligently with great skill removing the poor job that was done before him. We couldn't live with the first attempt by someone else so we called the people at the place where we bought the saltillo tiles to see if they could recommend someone that could help us match the new tiles with the old. They recommended Will and we are so glad that they did. While he was removing the tiles he sealed the new ones and had a fan going to dry them. Will was here all day doing his job and returned the next day to add a little more tint to the tiles and grout and to seal them once more. You cannot tell where the new tiles are...he matched them perfectly to the tiles in the floor since 1985! He is very conscientious and a master at his craft and we would not hesitate to recommend him to someone else. We look forward to hiring him in the future for other tile and stone work that we anticipate (bathrooms and fireplace remodels). I forgot to say that he was very respectful of our house and did a great job cleaning up his work area.
Description of Work: Will repaired eight tiles in a saltillo floor in our kitchen that is being remodeled. Two small walls were removed which left empty spaces in our floor.

His crew worked very hard when they showed up. Will Arnzen, the owner, kept taking them off our job to start new ones so he could get a check from the new job. Then he came back and did more work on our tiles so he could get the halfway payment. At that point he never finished. He had sanded half the tiles and left the hardest ones for later and never resealed any of it. I kept emailing and calling him and he'd say 'we'll be there tomorrow' but they didn't show. Finally after two and a half weeks (the job was supposed to be four days) he said he couldn't afford to finish it, that he had bid too low and couldn't pay his crew. We had to hire a new company to finish the sanding and reseal the whole deck. The job ended up costing twice as much as he had originally bid.

We contracted with Will Arnzen of Arnzen Tile in Jan 2013 to refinish the spanish tile in our outdoor entranceway. The completed work initially looked good - until it rained! Then the entire finish blistered and peeled. The clear coat came off taking the color of the refinished tiles with it. Will figured out that he had missed a step during his initial work and did a test area of another small section of tile, which has since been ok. However, as of April 2013, more than 3 months since initially finishing the job, Will continues to fail to come fix his shoddy work after promising us multiple times over the past few months that he would repair it. Several times he has given us dates that he would come to complete the work, then he would just not show up. Now he simply avoids our phone calls, and when we get through on an alternate number (which he isn't automatically sending to voicemail), he lies about coming to complete the work and then ignores us. I have pictures of what he did to our entranceway, which is now completely ruined. Will post them here if I can figure out how. I strongly recommend staying away from Arnzen Tile. Will does not stand behind his work. We have tried in good faith for several months to get this resolved but Will has left this as our only recourse besides suing him.
Description of Work: Contracted to refinish faded spanish tile in outdoor courtyard that is exposed to the weather. The work entailed stripping the existing tile, repainting/restaining the tile, and sealing the tile with a clear low-gloss top coat.
