Appliance Alley gave superb customer service andI would love to give them an "A" rating but there were some glitches along the way that I can't overlook so I would give them an A-/B+ Pros: Sales staff was easy to work with and they were very helpful to make sure that we got the full rebates from Bosch that were coming to us and also helped us get some that had recently expired. We had an issue with the installer and they took it very seriously and took care of it promptly. We also had an issue with our refrigerator being given to someone else by the warehouse and our hood being mysteriously sent back. Neither of these were the fault of Appliance Alley and they rectified everything immediately for us.The customer service was absolutely fantastic. Cons: When we bought the applicances we did look at some models in the showroom and there were some very specific things that I wanted (like a temperature probe for the oven and all digital front, no knobs). After the appliances were installed I noticed that the oven had knobs and there was no temperature probe. We would have had to go to the next model up for the features I wanted. The salesperson at the time assured me that the model I was ordering had what I wanted. Also, the microwave door opens down like an oven which was a shock to me. When I looked on the Bosch website it turns out that you can order a unit with the door opening to the left or to the right or to the bottom. The sales person never asked me what option I wanted for the door. In all fairness, as the buyer I should have double checked all of this for myself rather than just relying on the sales person, but I still was disappointed. When the installers came out to give me an estimate of what it would cost to install the units I was told that the kitchen was wired wrong for the oven/microwave combo. If I would have listened to them rather than investigating further myself I would have spent several thousand dollars for the re-wiring. It turns out that what we had worked just fine and we did not have to rewire. Also, I was trying to figure out how large to cut the opening in my very expensive cabinets for the oven/micro combo and they were less than helpful and gave me the wrong information. I worked with my cabinet installer to eventually figure it out. I called Appliance Alley to let them know what happened and they took it very seriously and ended up letting the installer go! So they took care of it in a very professional manner but it still meant I had to go find an independent installer for all my appliances. Bottom line: I would use them again to buy appliances but as a smart buyer would double check everything myself before placing the final order.
Description of Work: We bought all of our Bosch appliances (refrigerator, oven, microwave, and induction cooktop) from them and also worked with them on potentially installing them (they were installed by someone else - see below).

Description of Work: Sold me a stove/oven and a microwave, and referred me to a handyman for needed preliminary preparations. My 92-year-old mother fell and suffered a fracture in her spine. While she was recovering in the nursing home I had a short window of time to get all kinds of repairs and adjustments made to her condo to make it safer and more comfortable for her when she came home. She is a retired school teacher living on a fixed income and has been "making do" with with a non-working range for years. The existing non-working range was installed way back in the early 1980s and was a non-standard size. A family member suggested a "Rube Goldberg Jerry-rigged" solution that would have left huge gaps on either side of the new unit and a counter-top microwave suspended over it on a shelf. Yuck. I found Appliance Alley on Angie's List, called, and found a very sympathetic listener in Tony. I went to the store and was shown examples of equipment that were priced within my budget (and even LESS than the "make-do" solution the family member suggested.) Tony referred me to a handyman who moved out the old unit and moved a bank of drawers over enough for the new unit to fit perfectly. He as well as the delivery/installation team from Appliance Alley did precise and timely work, and left not a spec of dirt or debris. ...and if they used the toilet, I couldn't tell because the toilet seat was left down. Thanks, guys - something we ladies really notice and appreciate!! The attention to detail and to what it was I truly needed was so appreciated in this particularly stressful time. I would definitely use them again and am happy to recommend Appliance Alley.

Purchased range, refrigerator, dishwasher, washer dryer, range hood. Prices were competitive. Salesmen were knowledgeable. They do not carry every brand, but what they do carry quality brands. Seemed honest and experienced. No problems with installation. Been a year and we had a problem with the range, and Appliance Alley promptly contacted the manufacturer who fixed the problem.

Overall, a very good experience. The salespeople were knowledgeable, friendly and responsive. Pricing was fair. Delivery time was delayed a couple of days, but the installation team did an excellent and efficient job. One area for improvement: although knowledgeable about the products themselves, the salesperson did not ask us enough questions at the time of purchase to make sure we had the product we needed. Consequently, we lost some time in getting what we needed. However, we're happy with the results.

It went very smoothly. We have had no problems with the appliance.. We must note that we did not connect water for water dispensing or ice making, as we have little need for these.
Description of Work: Appliance Alley sold us a refrigerator freezer and arranged to have it installed. We were looking for a counter depth model (less than 28 inches deep) and they had a very nice KitchenAid model.

From start to finish, one of the best experiences in purchasing appliances. My condo was built in the early 70's and is in a tight part of San Diego. The hallways and my kitchen are small as is the elevator. The gentlemen from Appliance Alley graciously spent all the time to neatly remove all my old appliances, and install all my new stainless steel appliances over a brand new floor. Absolutely a smooth operation from showroom to installation. I highly recommend Appliance Alley for their attention to detail and prompt service and installation.
Description of Work: Replaced all my old outdated and non-energy efficient kitchen appliances...Refrigerator, Dishwasher, microvave, oven with range top with a stainless kitchen package from Appliance Alley.

I think I did this above. I was very pleased with everything, and confidently recommend them...
Description of Work: I needed to purchase a refrigerator and washer/dryer for my new condo. Bob Loree ordered exactly what I asked and matched the prices that I had seen at another local retailer (that I was not that excited about using...) Communication was excellent with Bob and with Appliance Alley's delivery/installation subcontractor, Fleet Installations. The products were as ordered, and were delivered and installed as scheduled.

Very nice and helpful in the store, but once they were paid, they disappeared. (1) No one called to schedule or confirm the installation appointment. (2) When I called to give that feedback and follow up on the extra filters, Bob did not return my call. (3) I asked for extra filters, and reminded Bob twice, but he never followed up and I never received them. (I hadn't paid for them). It wasn't entirely negative, it just that by joining Angie's List, I expect excellence, not just business-as-usual.
Description of Work: I bought a wall oven and venilation hood. Both sales people were knowledgable about the products and gave me the information I needed to make my decision. They arranged for the installation company (Fleet) to come and measure first to make sure my selections would fit before they actually ordered the appliances. This is a helpful service and makes sense, especially since I was considering a custom-made item.

THEY REPLACED A PART IN THE MOTOR THAT HAD GONE BAD, THEY WERE ON TIME AND COMPLETED THE JOB IN A TIMELY MANNER. SINCE THEN, I HAVE CALLED THEM TO DO ADDITIONAL WORK FOR ME AND I HAVE EVEN PURCHASED APPLIANCES AT THEIR STORE FOR A RENTAL PROPERTY.
