Air Plus Heating & Cooling

Air Plus is a fantastic company. They have key traits in a provide: honesty, good/win-win pricing, and work really hard for you. I had purchased my 3,300+ Ranch style house in Poway 3 years ago and was told by the home inspector that both my AC/Furnace units had to be replaced when I moved in. I couldnt afford to replace both so I replaced one unit for less than $13k installed, which included all new ducts throughout half the house, as well as removal of the old honking AC and Furnace (that was in my attic). It only took a few weeks from order to have the system installed. Jim and Kim were great and I knew I would use them again when it came time to install the other system to support the other half of my house. Well, I placed that order last year in 2013 and Jim and Kim were, again, very nice, professional, gave me a great price and installed the other AC/Furnace on time and on budget. which was about $12k. I decided to write this review now because I have had 3 yrs and 1 yr to monitor the installation and effectiveness of the systems set up and I am very pleased. Poway gets very hot but in my house I am cool as I wanna be! Air Plus offers its customer a direct, honest discussion and is a company you can rely on! Rod

They were very professional, knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and courteous. Even when I had conversations with the person over phone, I have the same experience with them as I did with the person that actually came to my house to do the work. It was all very good. I have a train system so these are people that maintain and install train systems. I had called a number of people and pretty much everyone’s prices were comparable.

The experience went very well. They were very easy to deal with and very professional. They made it on time for the appointments. They were very communicating. They cleaned up after themselves. I couldn't even tell they were there. They were very conscientious. They were pretty competitive and gave me some discounts, so it helped a lot. Things have been working great.

They were very professional, knowledgeable and very good, but I thought the price was a little high. It seems like they make a lot of their profit from selling those units or parts. The technician also seemed polite. I would shop around for price before I used them again.

They did the work in June, 2005, and we haven't had a bit of trouble with the system since. It heats well, the A/C works well as does the programmable thermostat and the new ducting. It was a Trane system and we have been very happy with it. At that time the company was called Air Plus Mechanical, Inc. I don't know when or why their name was changed or why they moved but they did great work at the time.

Everything that this company provided was top notch. Jim really listened to what I was looking to achieve and provided a great solution, in what more than a few companies called a somewhat tricky install. On the install date both installers showed up very punctual and were extremely professional. I would highly recommend this company and will certainly be calling them back for future install needs.

Contacted Kim on 10/29/13 about obtaining new Trane furnace. By happenstance, installer was handy nearby and came out to give estimate. Options were presented on what furnaces could be installed; we considered how they would fit and selected the unit that would work in the existing space. Accepted estimate and Jim came out next day and began installing. Old furnace removed. Old insulation removed. Existing ducting was re-wrapped with bubble wrap insulation. New Trane furnace installed and new matching ductwork installed. Work was swift, neat, and professional. Trane went in clean and the hookup was completed in just five hours. All the leftovers cleaned up and disposed of. All the work was professional, courteous, and on time. The furnace sequence of operations was explained to me so I could determine any failures in the future; handy for a DIYer. At my request, Jim provided a copy of the service manual for my future reference. Highly recommended. Five stars.

We had purchased an deal on Angie's List for a furnace inspection from a company that does a lot of advertising on television. We were told we needed a new furnace and prices were quoted. The man that did the inspection seemed more like a salesman than a technician. The furnace was quite old, but we wanted a second opinion so we called Air Plus. The owner of Air Plus came right on time and was very personable. He agreed that the furnace was not safe to operate, and gave us quotes. The prices were much lower than the first company for the same furnace. Air Plus was very careful to schedule the installation around our needs. The installation went in right on time, and the technician who did the installation was friendly and polite, very careful to do a good job, and cleaned up very well afterward. Then the owner came in and inspected his work, and made sure the job was done well. There was a follow-up phone call the next day to make sure we were satisfied with everything. I highly recommend using Air Plus.

It went extremely well. This is a great team and Jim is a hero. We needed to have our furnace replaced because it is 30+ years old. Our AC is a little undersized for the house, and we are ok with that. I got 3 bids including the one from AirPlus. The other two vendors insisted that we had to replace our AC with the furnace at triple the cost of just the furnace. Even though we stated very clearly that we were looking for a slight improvement in AC performance, but not a lot and we didn't want to replace the AC, the other vendors wouldn't budge off their position. Jim was honest and up front, said he was fine with replacing just the furnace, and he set our expectations properly on the AC. No problem. After the install, everything works great and the AC works much better than before. It is more than adequate. End result - we spent $4k instead of 12 and everything works great. These are the folks that you want to have replace your systems.

Overall, we were very satisfied with Air Plus. The job was completed on schedule and Jim was extremely professional during the process.

Everything went well. The inspector approved the work, and the heater is working just fine. I haven't had to use the air conditioner yet, but it did work during a test run.

It went well, there was one thing that I wanted changed and they did it. I thought that they were very professional, and had customer satisfaction as a goal.

I was very pleased with the office help as well as the gentleman who installed it. I would use them again if needed.

They were on time, they did a good job. They were very clean. We chose them for the company’s reputation and the name brands they sell. When we did have a problem with the installation, they bent over backwards to have it the way we wanted it installed. The person who did the tune up was nice, congenial, and he did a thorough job. He went inside to clean the fan; he put in extra effort to do that.

Their service was fine. They arrive right on time. They are very competent. I am happy with them.

They were there when they were supposed to be. They did a nice clean job of doing what they were supposed to do. It has worked fine since. He assessed some air flow problems that I had and we put in his solutions. For the way our home was constructor to begin with it was pretty good approached.

They are really professional. Their prices weren’t the highest or the lowest, but the offered the train equipment that I wanted at the best price. They came in $3,000.00 under another train contractor I contacted. They seemed to be very knowledgeable and he had other good reviews. They were clean and did d clean installation. They installed another duct for me in my living room for the air conditioner and heating. They also sound insulated the furnace closet so I couldn’t hear the air handler.

They were very good. I would give them great marks all around.

It turned out fine. They did a good job. The only problem was that they couldn’t come out very fast. They did have to wait on parts; of course it was the hottest week of the year.
