plumber fixed a pipe for $20 and unblocked kitchen drain for $88. rescue rooter would of charged at least $139 for unblocking drain.

He even did a free camera check of the line to make sure everything had been removed. He was professional, responsive and thorough. We will definitely use them again.of

I had a clog in the bathtub. After trying to unclog it myself with an auger, plunger, and chemical drain cleaner, I called Affordable Drain Service, Inc. I was given the estimate and set up a time for the representative to come to my apartment. I was given a 2-hour window of when the rep would arrive. He arrived right at the start of the 2-hour window time. He was professional and got the job done in about 15 minutes. The cost of the service was exactly what I was quoted it would be on the phone. I will call them the next time I need service and will recommend them to all of my friends.

ttI called Affordable plumbing. I gave the receptionist the tenant's telephone number so they could talk directly and set the appointment. I gave them my information including credit card number. The receptionist said she would mail me a receipt but never did. So, I still need to call to get that. I believe all went well because my tenant didn't call back. I asked the receptionist to have the service repair person leave a message on my answering machine telling what he found. He said some rust from the vent had clogged the drain. He left his telephone number. I called him back to find out what that meant and ask if I needed to take some action to alleviate future problems but he didn't return my call so it's still somewhat of a mystery to me.

I had hired another company to clear a show drain. After 2 weeks, slow drain again; they came out "under warranty" to clear a 2nd time. After 2 more weeks again, slow drain. They said they would not come out again, instead it would cost $375 for a "hydrojet". Could never get a manager to speak with, so I bought an angieslist membership and picked these guys.... Jeff arrived right on time. Scoffed at the previous work done and had our drain running in under an hour. Figured out what the previous guy didn't do correctly and he was successful. Highly recommended!

In less than an hour went from a main line that was backing up to a cleaned out main line.

Jeff of Affordable Drain Service arrived exactly on time and asked me to state what I needed him to do that day. As he worked on each item he explained what he was doing and answered many questions I had about our house drains in general. When he put the scope in the drains he showed me on the screen what part of the house was being examined and what to look for if there would be a problem. Fortunately everything checked out OK, but the rain gutter drain. In that case he was able to determine that the water flow was not plugged at the bottom of the rain gutter but rather somewhere up in the rain gutter near the roof. I will check this part out myself later and see if just a strong jet of water with my hose can fix that part. Jeff was particularly helpful in explaining the function of the "vault" where the check valve is located and how it operates and what to do if someday it fails before help can arrive to mitigate major flooding. He made sure I understood the whole system and his great attitude made this service visit very successful on all fronts.

I had a drain problem just last week. So I called up my other plumber, and the guy who does the drains and everything else was not available and he couldn’t get him. So my plumber recommended Affordable Drain Service Inc. They came out and did a good job. Actually there was a problem and they thought that they’d fixed it and then it happened again within a week. They have a thirty day guarantee and so they came out, and they put a camera down through it and showed me. There was a huge root growing in but it was growing in right where the city meets my drain out in the street. Knowing that San Diego city is not fixing a lot of things because they don’t have any money, so eventually after talking to them, I decided to go with a different kind of drain treatment that uses high speed jet. It literally cuts the root apart with a high speed jet. It did cost me some more but they gave me a discount because they had already run another rotor rooter thing out there but it was not the kind of thing that could get that huge root. So we came to negotiate over the fact that I’d already paid $108 and they gave me a discount of $50 on the high speed jet thing and we got that done. The guy was very nice. I will use them again in the future. In fact I have put up their name on my cabinet. So it was my other plumber who recommended this company to me because the guy who normally does his drains was not available. He was doing other jobs and so my plumber recommended this company to me, and they did a good job.

Called the company and was at my front door in less than 30 minutes. Cleaned out main drain. Also had kitchen line cleaned. Great price. Total job took about 75 minutes. Will use again. Very satisifed.

My experience with ADS was great from the beginning - the phone operator I spoke to was clear, friendly and professional. Less than 30 minutes later, Steve (the plumber) called and said he would be with me in 30 minutes (and he was). He was friendly, knowledgeable and ready to perform the necessary testing to discover the root cause of the problem. Most importantly, he explained everything he was doing, might need to do and how much each service might cost. That might sound simple but previous experience suggests that it is not always the case. In the end Steve did have to access the drains from the roof and quickly cleared the blockage. Finally,he looked at the blocked toilet but solved the problem with a plunger - saving me money. He could have used more specialist equipment right away for an additional charge (and, frankly, I wouldn't have questioned it) so he deserves credit for his integrity. A previous experience with a drain cleaning service is the reason that I joined Angie's List in the first place. Today was the second time that I used services recommended by Angie's List and so I feel like I've already got a good return on investment.

It was New Year's Eve and I had a big dinner planned. We were expecting 8 guests at 6:30. You can always count on your plumbing backing up at the worst time. Well, this was it. At 6:00 pm my kitchen sink backed up and the bathroom sink overflowed onto the floor. I called Affordable Drain Care and they said they would page the plumber. In a few minutes I had a call back from Paul, the plumber. He was on a job but would get to me as soon has he was finished. We went on with our feast. At 8:00 pm Paul came to the door. He was super cool and and very professional. We went around back and he had to get up on the roof (in the dark) to see what the problem was. In less than 5 minutes he came back with the diagnosis and an estimate of $162. I couldn't believe it would be that cheap on a holiday weekend and at night. Paul was low key and my guests hardly knew he was there. In about 30 minutes he was done and cleaned both drains. Everything worked great and I was totally satisfied with the work. Paul was great and certainly someone that I could trust in my home. I would highly recommend Affordable Drain Care and will use them again should the need arise.

IF YOUR DRAIN IS CLOGGED, you need this company. They were forthcoming about the cost structure. They did not play the "we have to see it before we tell you" game. A general plumber may not have the right machinery to get the job done. My problem was solved in minutes, because in the words of the dude who fixed my problem..." I do this all day long"!

Without going through more detail, just imagine no bath or shower, no toilet, no tap water, sink, dishwasher or washing machine....AND you are on a deadline to make a meeting in a couple of hours... Affordable Drain Service and their technician, Nick, really came through when I needed an immediate intervention. He worked fast and thoroughly, cleaned up after himself, was very orderly and aware of what needed to be done. Granted, this wasn't brain surgery but still a service I required right then, early Sunday morning. I really appreciated that he scoped the line free of charge and gave me some good maintenance advice as well.

I have 3 toilets in a 4 bedroom home that we recently moved in. The main toilet was clogged, that my wife and I attempted to unclog. After a few minutes, we realized this was no ordinary clog. I had feared that the clog my be a symptom of the main drain, but the remaining 2 toilets were "OK". I contacted Affordable Drain service on a Friday evening. There was a mix-up with my name which lead to a delay on relying the information to a plumber. Saturday morning the issue was resolved with setting a scheduled time convenient with my wife since the plumbing issues wasn't immediate. Affordable Drain was on time, diagnosed, repaired the clogged toilet, and preformed tests insuring the clog was repaired after extracting a steel wool-like globe from the toilet drain. I was surprised with the price, and I will keep them in my contacts.

EXCELLENT SERVICE! From my phone call, answered by a friendly, very competent staff member, to the solution of my problem--less than 90 minutes! This was late in the afternoon, when i was afraid i might be put off to the next day--but it didn't happen. The repairman was at my front door in less than 30 minutes, knew what he was doing, and did it. All at a very reasonable price.
