 + -1 moreTony was very responsive, giving us a bid that was nearly half of the other company we contacted. Because this was a rental apartment rather than our personal home, we chose Tony. He said he had a large crew and could get to it quickly, which was also appealing to us. However, the job was finished and paid for before we realized some problems. The workers had taken down the blades on the ceiling fan, and when we went to put it back up, some screws were missing and had to be purchased. Two of our glass cabinet handles were missing and had to be purchased. Two windows were painted shut and many cabinet hinges were painted which made them stiff to use and difficult to turn the screws to remove them. The ceiling was peeling where some patchwork had been done. We called and left a message regarding these things and asking for someone to come and at least help us unstick the windows, but no one has contacted us.
Description of Work: Painted an apartment: kitchen, two bedrooms, living room and dining room. Popcorn ceiling removal and texturing. It took 4 days.

 + 1 moreOn time, courteous, very responsive to last minute additions to work, and changes in work. Worked very fast- entire job finished in 5 days. Neat, with only relatively minor drips to clean up. Don't know if price was right or not since did not get other estimates. I was willing to pay the price because of the company's Angie's List reputation.
Description of Work: Painted entire interior of house. Also spackled holes. Replaced a broken door. Revarnished banister and front door. Power washed and repainted my side of the fence and exterior trim of the house.

 + 0 moreThe wall was painted correctly by another company since Toni Kim delayed job.
Description of Work: Repair and texture of exterior stucco. Was contracted for other interior job at same time for exterior work. Workman who did previous interior painting job came to do exterior. After much prodding to do the job as promised, same workers came to stucco areas that needed repair due to leak. Workman prepared wall well, but applied white stucco and not the color I had requested. I spoke to Toni Kim (manager) who to contact, gave swatch and color paint swatch, but still painted it white. To have it painted white was most annoying because all Toni Kim would say was "Yes, Yes, Yes", but he did not listen and for second time the wrong stucco was used. They then sanded off white stucco. Two days later correct color was applied. They were supposed to return following week to fix color problems. I telephoned Toni, and said I could no longer trust his word and would get another painter to finish the job. He sent an employee to pick up check for stucco work.

 + 0 moreI first contacted A Plus Painting Company the last week of July. Our arranged date for the job was 8/1 and the job was begun on 8/4/2006. The workmen were pleasant and responsible. The paint color they had purchased was incorrect but the painter went to the paint store to obtain the correct shade. The clean-up was excellent.
Description of Work: Drywall repair, texture, and paint for an entire wall.

Tony was quite responsive and upfront. Job was performed as promised. They did a great job, cleaned up after themselves, were on time and polite. Days later I am still pleased with job and glad that I used Angie's List.
Description of Work: Prepped, Primed, and Painted large Family Room (with open beams that were to remain unpainted) and a hallway using two colors, ceiling being a different color than walls.

 + -1 moreTony and his crew of four men were prompt and very neat in their work. They were very polite, removing their shoes upon entering and were very respectful to Tony and our family. All men were dressed neatly. They took great care in covering and removing, whatever was necessary to achieve perfection. Our home was left in perfect order. They were timely in arriving and completed their work prepping, painting and cleaning all in six hours. Both rooms had high ceiling and hard to get to spots. We were very pleased and will call them for future work.
Description of Work: Tony's crew painted our master bedroom and bath, bonus room and bath and did some touch ups around the house.

Description of Work: Tony and his team painted our entire 1275 sq. ft. condo including all doors, walls, closets, etc. He offered a very fair price in our opinion and followed through with everything he promised. They came back through and asked if there were any areas that they needed to touch up once the job was done. And when one of his painters accidentally removed our ADT sensors from the windowsill, he deducted $200 from his price to pay for the ADT technician to come out and reinstall them. And he removed all of our old paint from previous painting for no cost. Great job!

I assume that the entire door would be brushed. They were in a hurry to go to another job, so certain small cleanup details were over looked. The prep work(filling cracks)could have been better. If I quit assuming how the work would be done, I would hire then again.

 + -1 moreTony was very punctual and professional, and the quality of work was excellent. The entire job was done over a period of 2.5 days, and I was kept well informed of their progress. The unit was left in clean and neat condition after the painting job was completed, and blinds were removed and, as needed, re-hung very well and with no damage. Their pricing was in the middle among four quotes (with a range of about +/- 20%).
Description of Work: Complete interior of a 1600 sqft townhouse, built in 1989, was painted basic white. Job included all closets, most of the first-floor ceiling, the master bedroom ceiling, metal railing, and all doors (including one set of French doors in the living room).

Our home looks great, and we will be interested to see how the paint weathers the rain we are getting. Since he had to postpone our project, Tony threw in painting our front fence.
Description of Work: 1. Power washed stucco; 2. Repaired termite damaged wood trim; 3. Patched and repaired stucco; 4. Painted stucco and trim; 5. Power washed and painted deck; 6. Painted front fence (free).

Description of Work: TONY, FROM A PLUS PAINTING COMPANY, PAINTED THE INSIDE OF OUR HOME. HE ALSO REMOVED WALLPAPER FROM THREE ROOMS. TONY REFINISHED WOODSIDING IN TWO BATHROOMS THAT REACHED HALFWAY UP THE WALLS.
