9 1 1 Appliance Repair

The services were excellent and we have used them after the Big Deal too. They explained in detail what they were doing; about the issue and how they were resolving it so they were educational. Usually the other service providers do not tell us anything. They were reasonable. I was not here when he repaired it but I am pretty sure he was on time.

I repair most things myself. I worked on this for 90 minutes and finally hit the wall. Abraham showed up and joked with me a bit about how mad I would be when he fixed it and stated it would be his minimum, $75. He was wrong; I wasn't mad at all. While yes, I was a minor adjustment away from success and $75 richer, I was thrilled that I had gotten as far as I did and the problem was reperable. Furthermore, he didn't gouge me and sell me something I didn't need. I was prepared to spend nearly $500 on a new machine for my tenants and it only cost me $67.50 as he offers a 10% Angies List discount. This guy is great. I feel like I found an honest mechanic. It's the second time I have used him and felt his service was very worth the money and appropriate.

Scheduling was easy and they came out quickly to look at our refrigerator. They were extremely friendly, helpful and knowledge and corrected our problem easily at no additional charge beyond the initial fee. Great job!

Abraham was on time and courteous on both visits. On his first visit he addressed the problem quickly. When I called him again about the error re-appearing he came out again and explained to me in detail the options available to me as this issue was one he had never encountered in his 34 years of experience. He even offered to refund me for the cost of the first service in case I wanted to go with another provider. We decided to go ahead and replace 2 more parts which MIGHT fix the problem knowing that he might have to make a third trip out for one final part the control board. He offered to only charge the parts and NO LABOR which was very agreeable to me. He even fixed a leaking pipe that he noticed that was totally unrelated to the problem at hand. So far the washer seems to working ok! Hopefully he will not have to come out again. I would recommend 9-1-1 applicance! Thanks Abraham!

Abraham called ahead like he said he would and arrived on time. He evaluated the leak and explained that he could only give me a ballpark estimate as he had to take the machine apart to find out more about the problem. I understood and agreed. He also said that my agitator was not working properly (clothes were not actually being washed). He quickly found that the leak was caused due to a clog and he was able to clear it pretty easily. The agitator was repaired and testing indicated everything was working as it should. In addition to the repairs, he spent time explaining some dryer venting options to me. Excellent performance, just what you hope and expect from a service provider.

We bought the Angie's list coupon for appliance repair work made an appointment. The office staff was friendly and efficient and within the time frame that was perfect for us we scheduled a visit. Ray called before he came, which is always appreciated. He was courteous and quickly assessed the situation and got right to work. We have a 90's wall oven and the bracket that suspends the broiler-grill had rusted and the grill began to drop on the compromised side. Parts for older model appliances can be difficult, but Ray created a bracket that absolutely holds the grill in place, we now have a broiler that is as it should be sturdily attached to the roof of the oven.

All went well - appliance no longer leaks.

Abraham was punctual, friendly and very professional. He knew immediately what the cause of the leakage was and he gave me an estimate before doing the work. I thought the price was a little high, but I wanted the problem resolved that day, so I authorized the work. It turns out that it was a blocked drain. It was a bit more work than he had anticipated but he was able to clear the blockage. He was very informative regarding the style of refrigerator that I own and pointed out some of the problem areas that often occur with that particular model. I used a coupon and he honored it and applied it to the final cost. I would definitely recommend Abraham to others and I'll call him again if needed because I think he is very knowledgeable regarding appliances.

They were fine but didn't get the result I needed. We needed to have a dryer vent cleared and working properly, but it wasn't cleared after the service. They made an effort but were unable to do what I needed.

After purchasing the Angie's list coupon, I called to schedule an appointment. I was told that I needed to use the coupon I purchased for the the initial evaluation and then pay again for them to come out again to repair the item. I told them exactly what was wrong with the washing machine and the exact knob with the item # that needed to be replaced before they came out, but they still charged me for two visits. So, basically, the purchase of the coupon was useless. I could have called another repair company and they would have only needed to come out the one time. He didn't repair it properly, so I had to get it done by someone else afterward.

I called 9-1-1` Appliance to repair my washing machine and made an appointment for the following day. Abraham showed up on time and even called to inform me when he was on his way. He was very friendly and professional. Unfortunately, there were many problems. He could have made the repairs and charged me a lot of money, but he was honest and suggested that it might be better for me to replace it. He even made suggestions on what type of machine would best suit my needs (not the expensive ones). As a single woman living alone, it was so nice to have someone so honest and respectful. Thanks!

OWNER SENT OUT A YOUNG TECH TO DO REPAIR, NOT EXPERIENCED ENOUGH TO HANDLE THE JOB. I THINK IF THE OWNER HAD DONE THE JOB ORIGINALLY THE REFRIGERATOR WOULD HAVE REPAIRED IN 2 TRIPS INSTEAD OF 4. (NOT 100% USE OF THE SERVICE DATE. )

The repairman, Barry, was extremely professional and took his time checking out my dishwasher and ensuring all was working properly. He educated me on the proper amount of soap to use and how to take care of the calcium buildup that San Diego water makes in stainless steel appliances. He was very helpful and friendly.

I purchased an Angie’s List Big Deal for this service. I paid a little extra for the replacement part. They were very responsive and came within a day or two after I purchased the Big Deal. They provided a pretty quick turnaround because it was a refrigerator. I don't think it took long to get the part. They installed it and I have not had any problems since. It was effortless, which was good because I was really time-sensitive on the refrigerator.

Good job. They contacted my tenants, arranged a time, and did the work. Good in all respects. Just one thing - when you're the landlord no one calls to tell you what is happening. Tenants ONLY call with complaints so it is essential for the vendor to call when the job is done. It took me a while to figure out when the job was done. Not a big deal - they did the work and the price was reasonable. Now I have to call them for some work at my house!

The service went fine. They were professional. I have used them since to fix my washer that was not draining properly. They showed up on time and did what they promised to do.

These were classified as two distinct service calls. The ice maker was a team of two that came to the house and the dishwasher was an individual repair technician. They were all very professional, polite, and explained what was broken and how it would or could be repaired. The fridge ended up being a bigger job than I wanted to pay for and decided to not have the ice maker repaired since I could still retrieve the ice from inside the freezer. So I was just charged the service call. However, they did show me exactly what the problem was which I really appreciated. The dishwasher needed a new motor and I had that replaced which entailed ordering the part and then a return visit to install. Overall a great experience. Really nice people.

I called them on a Tuesday to make an appointment to look at our Kenmore refrigerator that was not cooling. They were able to fit me in that Tursday. They gave me information about the cost of the service call and said it would be waived if any service was performed. The service tech, Jesse, gave me a call notify me of their arrival in 30-40 minutes. Jesse and Anthony got right to work when they arrived. Within about 10 minutes Jesse informed me that the compressor would need to be replaced which would be a $600-1000 repair for this model and we would be better off buying a new fridge. He and Anthony were polite and professional. I would definitely use this company again.

It went well. There was extra work that had to be done, so I have to pay for some parts. They seemed honest and they didn't shortcut anything.

They were very fast in responding and coming over to our house. The refrigerator was working again right away, nothing spoiled.

Initially, I wasn't too impressed by the phone contact and follow-through. I had done some initial diagnostics and asked if they estimate the repair cost. (I was debating whether or not it would be cost effective for the repair versus replacing the old dishwasher with a new comparable model.) The admin who answered the phone stated that she would ask a technician to call me with an estimate. After 36 hours, I had not received a call. After looking at other options, I decided to just book the service. Once I booked the service, Ray, a technician, did call the problem, cost, etc. The info was vague but the tech was nice. Ray called 20 minutes before his arrival to give me a heads-up, diagnosed the problem and gave me an estimate. He had to order the part. The part was expensive - approximately $40 more than on the Internet. When Ray installed the new part, he also cleaned up the area too. I haven't used the machine yet and hope it works well.

Jesse knew exactly what was wrong and what to do. (so did I). The charge was 65.00 HOWEVER neither the coupon on their website ($15) or the Angie's list coupon mattered to them. Nothing on the coupon stated it was for a "minimum" repair and Jesse told me the repair typically was a $130 charge. I was just happy to have the issue resolved so didn't argue. BUT I think that was not the right thing for 911 Appliance to do. Bait and switch - but they did the job. Interesting they have not one the awards the past 3 -4 years. Maybe they should re-think their advertising and coupons.

9-1-1 Appliance Repair is hard for me to grade. I really wanted him to come out to fix my microwave, but he doesn't do that. The other thing I wanted him to do is look at my washing machine, which he did. He fixed the washing machine. But I had bought two Big Deals and never used the second one. When I tried to call them back to get my money back for the second one, they never returned my call. What he did do, he did good. I only used half the service. He told me himself to call him to get my money back.

The dishwasher was not working. It took several calls and the repairer was late. It did not take long. The dishwasher still does not work properly.
