I brought my camcorder in and they were very polite and thorough with letting me know the possible costs involved. There was absolutely no pressure and they were very patient with my questions. They let me know that it could be up to 10 days for the diagnosis. After 2 days, I received a call to let me know that it would require new parts and asked if I wanted to proceed. I called them back to say I wanted to continue with fixing the camcorder. I was called again to let me know that it would take a little longer than the original estimate due to a part that was not in stock at the supplier. Throughout the process, I was kept informed of the status and I really appreciated that! The camcorder works great. Note: The company is under new ownership so the previous reports may not be a valid reflection of the service of this company now.

Technician came out and could not replicate the problem. He said we should call him when it happened again. It happened again the next day and we called, and we called, and we called. Never return phone call. Nothing. He siad if we called within 30 days there would not be a service call fee for the return visit. But, we can't get a return visit if he won't return the calls. I intend to stop the credit card charge and use a different company. Working with 3 Techs was a complete waste of time and money in my opinion.

The whole episode lasted ten minutes. The technician said he could find no problem with the set itself, but would call Sony engineers to confirm his diagnosis and call me back. It has been one week, and no phone call or message left on message machine. Sony pays 3Tech under the warranty, but I actually learned nothing. This is poor service.
Description of Work: The technician examined my new Sony HDTV (under warranty) to see if the poor picture was connected to a flaw in the TV set.

Told me it would be 7-10 days before they could look at it. Paid a $40 down payment that was used towards the repairs. Called me right around 10 days, I approved the work, and picked it up the next day. Everyone I came in contact with was very nice. They even carried the TV into the shop for me.
Description of Work: I dropped the TV off the couch face first. No picture. Said I needed the chassis repaired.

MADE AN APPT. WITH 3 TECH'S 2 WEEKS IN ADVANCE FOR A WEEKDAY MORNING (THEY DON'T DO WORK ON THE WEEKEND). MY WIFE HAD TO TAKE A DAY OFF FROM WORK OF COURSE TO HANDLE THIS. WHEN THEY DIDN'T SHOW, SHE CALLED AND WAS TREATED UNPROFESSIONALLY BY IRIS, THE OWNER. APPARENTLY THEY CONFUSED US WITH ANOTHER CUSTOMER WHO CANCELLED THE DAY BEFORE. NO APOLOGY FOR THEIR SCREW UP, THE ATTITUDE WAS TOUGH LUCK FOR US. WE INQUIRED AS TO WHAT THEY WOULD DO FOR US, CONSIDERING IT WAS THEIR ERROR THAT BLEW THE APPT. AND THE WHOLE DAY OFF FOR US. HER ANSWER - MAKE ANOTHER APPT., AT THEIR CONVENIENCE. WOW, ISN'T THAT BENDING OVER BACKWARDS! HOW ABOUT A FREE SERVICE CALL? THEY ALSO HAVE NEGS. IN THE BBB DATABASE.
