Description of Work: I had a roman shade made. It is beautiful and I have not had any trouble with it. The reason I gave a B instead of an overall rating of A is because when I picked out a fabric from among their swatches for another window they did not have it and could not get it. So their selection was not as as good as I needed. Everything else was great.

Description of Work: I had a cloth roman shade made and hung. It was in about 2009. It came out great and I haven't had any problems with it at all. Other shades by a different company were a big problem, falling off and sagging down. But the Three Blind Mice shade has been terrific.

Description of Work: This is in addition to the call I made Yesterday, May 12th. | |On the back of the contract I signed with Three Blind Mice, said that refunds would not be made once production had begun. But Tony the installer did not inform me that my windows were not made to install the blinds that he came to measure. The blinds he installed did not block out the light at night. I firmly told him I wanted TOTAL BLACKOUT! AFTER MANY MONTHS OF HIS VISTS, that's when he told me his blinds wouldn't work on my door windows. The last time he visited he said his blinds were uniform and they could sell them again. He removed the blinds from my home and returned them to his place of business. He said call the business office which I did several times with no satisfaction. Finally, the owner called me and said, despite the fact that the blinds were returned, that he never made refunds. Noblinds in my home, no refunds. |I took THE OWNER AND TONY to small claims court and the testimony they gave the judge was very convoluted and totally inaccurate. I told the judge I didn't want the blinds back, because they didn't do the job I asked for and I needed the refund to buy black out drapes form Costco who would do the job. | |The judge split the bill and gave me half. $800.00. but they kept the blinds! | |Invoice Date: 10/19/11 |Trial Date: |

Description of Work: 3 Blind Mice came out to Junior Achievement of San Diego and gave us an estimate for motorized blinds for our large conference room. Upon receipt of other bids as well, 3 Blind Mice beat all of the other quotes. They provided wonderful customer service in addition to paying attention to all the fine detail such as paint matching etc... They were on time, professional, saved us money and performed high quality work.

+ 1 moreOur sheer curtain was deteriorating from age. We wanted to replace it, so we looked at Angie's list for window covering people in our area, particularly people who still do custom curtains. We selected 3 Blind Mice who had an older review. We had an appointment with Kathleen, a senior design consultant. She came to our house with a variety of samples that she had selected based on her conversations with us. She made sure that we were both going to be there so we could make a decision together that we would be happy with. At the meeting we went through the options that she had gathered for the window covering. She also suggested UV protection for the windows in that we were discussing. Since we had thought about the UV protection, but had not done anything about it we had her write up an estimate on that too. She wrote up estimates for the sheer, the UV protection, and the blinds. Since the UV film also provided significant glare protection we got an estimate for an adjacent room where glare is a problem. We only had 3 Blind Mice do an estimate so we are not sure about how good the price is. However, the price seemed to be in line with my previous experiences for blinds in other rooms. We ordered the Hunter Douglas Cassette Roller shades for the 72" wide window and the two smaller windows on either side. We also ordered the protective film for the three windows that we got the blinds for and two windows in an adjacent room where glare is a problem. The installation was subcontracted to two different companies, one for the blinds and one for the installation. The subcontractors were professional. The UV guy had to remove the blinds in the adjacent room to install the UV film. When he reinstalled them one of the blinds wasn't working. When I asked him about it, he fixed it without complaint. The UV film significantly cuts glare and heat and presumably the UV too. The blinds that we bought allow us to have light in the room and let the cats look out the window without compromising our privacy. So far the blinds are much more cat friendly than the sheer would have been. It is also easier to open the window when we need to to let air circulate through the house. Kathleen's suggestions about how we could best set the blinds for everyday use was right on.
Description of Work: We needed to replace a sheer curtain that was old and had too much UV damage. We had an estimate and materials selection meeting, an estimate was written up, and our window treatments were installed by two different subcontractors. We ended up with some high quality blinds for a large window and the smaller windows on either side and UV, glare, and heat protective film for those windows and for two windows in an adjacent room.

+ -1 moreWe were impressed with the responsiveness when a couple of the drapes did not fit correctly when installed. It took about four weeks, but the defective ones were reordered and reinstalled. We ended up with three different installers. Two of the installers worked on the large floor to ceiling motorized drapes in the living room. Since motorized there is an electric cord running to the floor. Neither of them fastened the cord to the wall in any way. One of them did not even fasten it to the motor itself. Consequently the weight of the cord kept pulling it out of the motor. I had to fasten the cable to the wall to finish the installation properly.
Description of Work: Ordered and installed one floor to ceiling motorized drape in the living room and four bedroom window coverings.
