Mr. Phillip Boulden arrived on schedule, reviewed the project, answered my questions directly and provided a very reasonable quote. He knew exactly how to accomplish the project with no fuss or effort on my part and he had the equipment to do so. He worked hard and rapidly. The result he achieved was absolutely excellent. In addition, he was very professional. Without one single reservation, I would hire him again.

Jim did an excellent job repairing 2 damaged carpet spots. One had discoloration and the other had missing/damaged threads. Both look like new after fixing !! Jim was very professional, punctual, and above all, very friendly :-)

My daughter's room had MANY little items on heavy furniture. He carefully moved things around until he got a tight, neat stretch. He worked so hard! The carpet which had the threshold taken off was frayed. He was able to stretch the carpet to cover the fraying. He added an extra tack strip to ensure the problem would not reoccur. He replaced the threshold perfectly. I would totally recommend this company. Service was excellent, efficient and the worker was professional and pleasant.

Seven 5 foot steps including two upholstered steps. From time i called to the finished product was less than 1/2 day. Major problem finding an installer who would install already owned carpet that installer did not sell. Took over a month. The job went fast and very well done. The two men cleaned up and the job looks like new.

Jim was professional and punctual. Over the phone he was friendly and knowledgeable. I first met him in person at his showroom where I selected Dixie Home's Pegasus Bay carpet. I do recommend that you use your phone navigation to find his showroom. The final turn is hard to see. He had a wide range of carpet at different prices. I could have easily spent much less than I did but I decided I wanted the best value I could find at the higher end. The day he installed the carpet with an assistant went exactly as planned. They did a great job on the installation, cleaning up and moving back furniture. I highly recommend Jim and 1-2-3 FLOOR.

From the initial meeting with the Owner Jim, I was impressed. He did a complete layout of the areas requiring new carpet, and developed a planned sequence that would minimize the impact on us as we have a significant number of large furniture items that had to be shifted from one room and back for each room that was re-carpeted. My wife and I visited the showroom and made a selection for a thick, high-end carpet to replace something similar to what was currently installed. Jim had so many options available in his showroom that we were able to make a final decision is less than and hour. The initial estimate was 3 days, but the job was done in 2. For each room, all of the old carpet had to be removed and the closet tracks redone because they were installed on top of the old carpet. Jim's crew were the most professional and personal people I have worked with. I was home during all the work and got to personally observe their obsession with detail, their professionalism, and their quality of work. It took 3 workers to take a large roll of carpet up to the third level Attic room whose only entry is a small doorway in the main hallway. I should also mentioned that this is a custom built home with a high degree of molding in all the closets and rooms which required some very detailed work. At the end of each day, the furniture was moved back into the rooms and the area looked spotless. To top it off, the whole team assisted a friend who had come by to pick up some furniture we were getting rid of. They lifted all the furniture on his truck and tied it down. I didn't ask them, they just jumped right in after a long day and helped us out. There are so many carpet installers in this area. I did a significant amount of research and also got three quotes before I chose 123 Floors. I am so happy with my decision and would highly recommend Jim and his team. Even after two days on the job site, we had connected and bonded as a team. They were extremely friendly and easy to work with, but the bottom line is the extremely high level of quality in their work.

He was a very nice man and he was very accommodating, but I decided to go with another company because they had a product that I liked better. He didn’t get back to me with an estimate as soon as I was expecting and I wasn’t sure that he had the variety that I was looking for. I would recommend getting an estimate because you might like them and you might not.

Good job! We had used Jim Cantwell for our home and decided to use him again for our new offices in South Poway. Jim followed the designer's selections and did an excellent job of installing offices, conference room, and kitchen areas. The extra touches suggested by the designer made the job a little more difficult, but Jim was up to the task to give the areas a beautiful look.

Excellent job. Jim used one additional worker for the installation work. Jim came recommended by both Angie's List as a local provider and endorsed by a designer I used for draperies as well as a crown molding specialist. Jim also provided a referral for a hardwood specialist who removed carpeting from my stairs and installed a hardwood oak. The jobs were done professionally and on time with minimal inconvenience to our family. His prices were far lower than those offered by other flooring specialists in San Diego. He was excellent about giving me referrals to other small business people who could do good work in the Poway-San Diego area.

Jim Cantwell came highly recommended by two different unrelated sources (an interior designer and a business associate whom had used him before) as the person to go to for top quality materials and installation. I was surprised his prices were also LOWER than I had been quoted elsewhere. He has a showroom in Poway with a nice selection of carpets and hardwood, where you can actually take your time and bring the samples back to your home and see how they will look. Jim's attention to detail and 20+ years of expertise shows in the final product, and I consider myself to be a perfectionist! I am also a stickler for checking Contractors Licence reports, and Jim Cantwell has been licenced for 20 years with not one complaint or negative feedback, which I did not find with ANY ONE else in this business.
