Well I was under the impression when I purchased this that I was going to have some 3-D design for the purchase price I paid through Angie's list .... I had verbal advice and that's it. I have no idea how much things are going to cost and I'm right back where I started.... so now I have to have a contractor come out and actually give me an official estimate

We first talked to Idel at the fall Home Show at the convention center and arranged to meet in the fall to discuss the project. Henry contact us on the date request and after viewing our project gave us an estimated price within 24 hours. He worked with us to find an acceptable stain for all cabinets and drawers and we set a date to begin the project in the new year (January 2016).. The project was started on time and completed within the specified period at the agreed price. We were very happy with all the workmen who were involved and the professional quality of the work performed. We also had a new built-in refrigerator installed and Idel manufactured door facings to match the design of the existing cabinet doors. Having their own shop allows them to do specialized work such at this. Other kitchen re modelers we contacted were only able to order refrigerator doors from outside manufacturers. None of these would have matched. I recommend Idel for professionalism, quality of work and price.

This company is amazing! Oscar and Henry make themselves available for any questions or changes. Job was completed on a timely basis and the end result blew away our expectations! Thank you both! Love our new kitchen!

Excellent. Idel was very responsive to our ideas. They did a very good job. They tore everything down in one day and rebuilt it in 3 1/2 weeks. We got all new appliances and are very happy with our new kitchen, laundry room and pantry.

He was rather condescending, implying that I could not afford his services because he is at the top of the line. The cost of his recommendations is way out of my league, so I guess he is right. He didn't give me any new ideas I hadn't already thought of myself.

It took several drawings to get the right design and there were some big bumps in the final: Kitchen cabinets on one whole wall were mis-measured by Ideal and mistake was not discovered until they were 3/4 installed and there was no turning back. We had to reduce main entry to room to only 28" to work them in. Also, two different cabinets had drawers where there were supposed to be adjustable shelves. And they never did get a couple of details in spite of my having given them photos and drawings of what I wanted. But I gave them high marks because they are of very high quality and overall look beautiful.

Wonderful some delays but made up for it in quality and salesman ship wonderful company, Henry, Oscar and the crew are very professional! Installed some custom glass my late husband and I had done years ago and taking care of removal from old cabinet. I still have all my precious memories of my husband in my home.

Henry was very prompt and responsive to all my phone calls and emails. We found him using Angie's list. The job was completed and we were satisfied with the end results. However, there were a couple of problems that came up during the installation that we were bothered by. First, we were told that there would be plenty of extra counter top for us to also use in our bathroom, but then were told that there wasn't enough. (To be fair, they did throw in a similar countertop that almost matches for no extra cost) Secondly, we had a day scheduled for were someone to install the pulls on the cabinets, but no one showed up that day and I had to call to reschedule.

They have been unresponsive. They came and they did a good job but they made a mistake. I am calling them for the mistake but they have not gotten back to me yet.

We were under severe time constraints. We contracted with Henry at IDELS and demolition began on March 9th. The kitchen was completed by April 1 which met our deadline. Each group of contractors were very professional. Henry met with us to choose the granite and backsplash materials. Oscar oversaw the day to day operations from his office. He was always available by phone to answer questions. As with any project, little issues arise but nothing that couldn't be resolved very quickly. Friends and family were amazed that we were able to complete this project in such a short time. Thanks to Henry, Oscar, Frank and the entire crew. We love our new kitchen!

Henry was very accommodating in helping me decide on the color for my cabinets. He came out to our home twice and I also went to his shop to look at samples of both cabinet doors and granite. He knew I was on a budget and worked within it. Henry made sure I approved the granite slab before they started work. He sent me a picture but I opted to go to the shop to see the entire slab. **note: The shop is in Escondido, even though there is a San Diego address on Angie's List. The granite counter tops were beautifully fabricated by Ruben and efficiently installed by Ruben and Lee. Oh, yes. We had a pre-existing problem with our old counter top that had pulled away from the wall by about an inch. Our original cabinets/counter tops were 37 years old and were attached with nails rather than screws. Gustavo came out and reattached them securely using screws before the new counter tops went on. Next was the cabinet refacing. The installation process was going more slowly than outlined to me. Also there was some miscommunication about the materials that were used for some parts of the project. When I contacted Henry about these issues, he immediately came out to our home to resolve them. I really appreciated his prompt and professional response. Edwin and Gustavo did a beautiful job of installing. I'm so pleased with the new and improved look of my kitchen! It's become the showcase center of the house. The workmanship was excellent and Henry and his team worked hard to make sure I was happy with the end results.

Once work commenced, it was done in very timely fashion. Workers showed up on time every day and the work was completed on time. The quality of their work is outstanding and I am very pleased with everything they did.

Knowing that it would be a big job, messy and disruptive, not to mention all the horror stories I'd heard from friends about contractors not showing up and the work provided not what was promised, I have put off this remodel project for many years. After a search on Angie's List and speaking with a number of contractors to get their proposed cost with services provided, Henry Belkin the owner of Idel Designs met with me twice at my home & gave me the most optimistic proposal. I had assumed that I could only manage to afford a reface on my 30 yr old cabinets, but Henry showed me that it was possible to have the cabinets replaced with his custom in shop cabinets (beautiful!) at a reasonable price. He also said that the people doing the work would all be working for him and Idel Designs. So no separate contractors that were not connected with Idel Design Inc. Communication was excellent through Oscar who leads the project, letting me know what to expect every step of the way. The guys showed up when they said they would and called if they were stuck in traffic. All were hard working and professional. It was exciting to watch the transformation in progress and the end result is wonderful. I'm so happy to have a beautiful & functioning kitchen. It was well worth the wait!

From the time Henri arrived to provide the estimate, everything went as he described. His counsel on color, finish and quality of materials was perfect. His installers, Gustavo and Eliseo, were timely, professional, and protective of our home. The finished product actually exceeds our expectation (which was very high).

They were great. I would give them top marks across the board.

Don't hire them unless you ask a lot of questions and get in writing exactly what you are expecting them to create for you. They charge prices as if they are working with the best workers, yet they are really buying cheap stuff from Mexico.

Idel Designs did an excellent job. They were on time, professional and on budget.

Henry and his team did a thorough job in discussing our needs, spending ample reviewing samples and design options and then did a flawless job of the work and installation. They maintained the schedule we agreed to.

Excellent craftsmanship. High end stairwell in very substantial wrought iron. Beautiful finish on the iron. Costly but worth it. I was extremely pleased with this contractor. Henry came out and gave an estimate and said he could match the color of the other cabinets and wouldn't charge me if I wasn't happy. I had three other estimates from wood workers and all said I would never be able to match the color ot the existing cabinets and would take the job. The crew that came out was excellent. They arrived on time and worked all day and cleaned up everything before leaving.

They were prompt for the estimate and took pictures and a drawing of the space. The cabinet was delivered late, which is not a bad thing, but communication to me when it was going to be late was less than timely. I had a flat tire on the day I was to meet them for installation, and called on my cell phone to let them know. The receptionist did not give me the feeling that my message was important or would be transmitted to the employee coming to my house. After that I played phone tag for weeks and finally got the cabinet installed weeks after the original date for installation. The color of the wood finish was perfectly matched. I understand that this was a small job compared to what they are accustomed to, but they should communicate better when dates cannot be met. I will use them again for the future wood projects in our home.

The estimate was for about $14,000. He came out quickly and came when he said he would. He took measurements and went back to his office. He sent me the estimate via e-mail. I had a good interaction with him and I was impressed with his attitude. That was the only time I saw him face to face. I did not use them and went with somebody else. There wasn't anything specific about him or Ideal Designs that made me go with the other company.

Complete replacement of a wood gate with a wrought iron gate for the entry to our house. Demo of existing gate, custom design and install of new gate including lever and deadbolt. It is an arched entryway, and they did a good job of fitting it into place. Goes beautifully with our 1920 spanish bungalow. a quality gate. Itwent very smoothly, although installation took 3 guys all day due to the archway. They are not cheap, but it looks great and neighbors have complimented us on how nice it looks.

At the time we were building our house and our master carpenter said that he could do the ironwork, so we went with him instead. Idel got back with us and gave us a quote. It was just fine. It looked like a good company, but we just had a less expensive option with somebody who was already working on the house.
