Technician explained the benefit of the new air purification system. We agreed to have it installed. Everything was completed in an efficient & courteous manner. Tech wore mask, gloves & shoe covers. We only use Triton!

They installed a new A/C System (New Condenser, High Flow Supply/Return Grill, 4/5 Ton ADP Horizontal Plenum Indoor Evaporator Coil and 4 Ton Single Stage Lennox Elite E16 - Single Stage Outdoor Air Conditioner Unit and new adjustable vents through the house.
Description of Work: Lennox team (5 technicians) came at 7 AM and worked straight thru till the work was completed (approx. 3 pm). The team did a great job trying not to bug me until the job was done. At the end, they walked me thru everything they did. What was more reassuring, the Permit Inspector and City came by a week later to check Triton’s work. Both City and Permit Inspector had nothing but good things to say about Triton Air. That was again reassured. A week and a half earlier John stopped by and checked the entire house including the attic, showed me all the licenses, permits and certification of the staff and company. It was very impressive. John was very nice and told me what had to get done. He was very cordial, didn’t try to push products onto me, did a good job to keep me relaxed and told me a little about himself. The whole process went very well and I felt really good about our decision. Having Costco behind them went a long way. They did a fantastic job that I told my friends at work how good and professional Triton Air was. Great Job Triton!

From Costco inquiry & Angie's List review to installation in one week! With a Costco partner backing & strong Angie's List ratings, I had high expectations & and they were certainly met. In my opinion, a fair price for a high quality product, quality installation, a very strong crew and high caliber interaction across the entire Triton team. Jack was very professional & knowledgeable in the sales process to properly assess and determine the best solution per our needs. The front office staff was outstanding in scheduling, unique payment processing needs, and answering all questions. Prompt professional calls in advance of each visit. Purchased (2) entire systems for 2-zone, 2-story house, replacing original 35+ year equipment. Teo, Luis, and Tim were a pleasure to have work in our house for two days. Friendly, professional, considerate and strong communications throughout the entire process. A strong recommendation across the board.

Dan and Scott did an outstanding job! First they explained in detail what would be done and completed the installation without any problems. Once the job was completed, Dan showed me how to program and use the new Lenox M30 Smart Thermostat. We could not be happier with the job these two techs did. I would like to thank both the team at Triton Air and our tech Moe!!! Every step from scheduling to fixing was great, I especially appreciated the updates and info/picture showing who our tech was. I knew what the general problem and fix wAs, so when the previous company quoted my mom almost 5 grand to fix I knew they were not reputable. I am glad I reached out to you, your high reviews are well earned. Moe was fantastic It is a relief to deal with honest companies and techs. Purchasing a new A/C System can be daunting. Triton Air was amazing! So easy to work with, and the employees were extremely polite and courteous. I met Chuck at Costco whom started the experience (Thanks Chuck), Jack came by my home and put me at ease and was not a “used car salesman,” he informed me of all my options without the stress of a sales pitch. Scott, Austin, Adam and JT installed the system unbelievable respect and courtesy - Thank you!!! The system works great, and I would definitely use Triton Air again and, I recommend Triton Air to all my friends. I got a great deal, amazing customer service, and an A/C system the works well.

Ok they outbid a competetor the only thing was a 4 ton ac unit was supposed to go downstairs and a 3 ton for upstairs. Well they reversed it but they did extra work by making extra vent intake and replacing all vents and some other stuff so all is ok and it seems that everything is working ok.

Great. No high pressure on the sales end. Just facts and options on the equipment. All of my questions were answered directly. The price was good( A Costco deal). The installation was a major project. The heater was old and the house never had AC. We installed it with zone controls, new ducting, electric dampers etc. The installer was very polite, detailed oriented and focused not only on getting it done right but making it look good too. We had a glitch with the new system zone control over the first really hot weekend of June 18-19. I called Triton and left a message on Sunday. The Manager of the service department was at our home on MONDAY at noon to fix it. No ten day wait to get help. Excellent response time.

Triton was booked the morning I called so I scheduled the inspection for after 5 p.m. (premium time) since my tenant had turned off the water to the unit to minimize the water leak. Prior to lunch, Triton called and indicated that they could come out sooner at around 3 p.m. so I contacted my tenant to verify the timing was OK. Fortunately it was.. The technician called me before he arrived at the Condo informing me he would let me know what he found and what he would recommend. The technician performed a diagnostic on the hydronic heater to determine if the water leak was coming from the heater. He also performed visual inspection of the water lines via a mirror and performed scope camera inspection for areas not visible. He then cycled the hydronic heating unit to verify the no water was coming from the unit. He determined that the heating unit was not leaking and that none of my water lines were leaking. The water that he did find appeared to be coming from the Condo above my condo. The neighbor upstairs has contacted a plumber to resolve the problem. I was very impressed. The inspection was very extensive. The technician, Rick, did an excellent job. I would recommend Triton to anyone who needs a very good HVAC company.

Horrible workmanship, responsiveness, professionalism, and customer experience. Asked Triton to come out for a cleaning / tune up on our 1-year old wall furnace. Technician cleaned the system, but did something that caused the unit to be inoperable. After struggling to get the system back to working order, the technician declared the system in fine working order. That evening, however, the system would no longer work and we spent a 40 degree evening without heat with a newborn in the house due to this error. We called first thing the next morning to let Triton know that - with a 5 week old newborn in the house - we had to have the system repaired immediately, but the Manager - Jason - was unwilling to meet our request that someone other than the original technician who had broken the system come that day to perform the repair. Disgusted with the lack of assistance and the poor attitude of Jason, we asked for a refund. Another company serviced our wall furnace an hour later, finding the mistake the Triton tech made. We called Triton and left a message for the owner Mike to explain our displeasure, but he has not called back to speak with us (four business days ago). Do not use this company if you care about customer service, being respected, care for your needs, answering the phone during posted business hours (no one answered between 7 am and 8 am), returned calls, or general satisfaction.

This review does not tell the whole story and is not entirely accurate. Mr. [member name removed] called the morning after our visit irate because the evening after we serviced his wall heater, the system stopped working. He demanded that we send a different technician out immediately. We expressed to Mr. [member name removed] that all of our other technicians were booked for the morning, but we would be able to come back and check the unit at no charge that afternoon. He stated that was not acceptable. We expressed that if we had a cancellation or opening we would send someone out immediately. He again stated that was not acceptable and was going to contact another company. We assured him we would credit him for our visit the previous day. Mr. [member name removed]then hung up on our representative. It was obvious Mr. [member name removed] was quite upset regarding the situation and we truly wanted to promptly attend to the situation; however 1/3 of my team was out sick during this week due to a bad flu bug going around, and our best was not good enough for Mr. [member name removed]. Understandable. Through multiple correspondence with Mr. [member name removed] we later learned that he did successfully contact another company that day who came out and found the system had a faulty pilot generator. This failure was not likely caused from our technician. The generator is in solid steel. Typical failure of these components would be due to faulty manufacturing, cheap equipment or components (likely made in China). We have seen multiple Cozy branded units that have this issue; which is why we refuse to sell this brand. We make a conscious effort to use quality parts that are Made in America and have excellent warranties. They cost is slightly more, but the parts do not have as high of a failure rate. Even though this being the case, I expressed to Mr. [member name removed] that I understood his need for prompt, accurate service. Therefore we would immediately reimburse him for our original visit and pay for the repairs made to his system by the other company. Once we received a copy of the repairs made by the other company, we immediately sent him a check plus a $50.00 gift card for Nick’s restaurant. As demonstrated by our response, we take these matters very seriously and client satisfaction and experience is very important to my team and I. Guaranteed.

We met them at Costco. We asked them to come out because our heater was not working. The technician John they sent out told us that the unit was shot and would be about $7000 to replace it with a new one. Since we live in California we don't have to use the heat very often so we decided to wait. 2 years later I had a friend over who also does Heating and AC service. I asked him to look at the furnace. He determined that the ignitor had gone out. It was a $10 part that he showed me how to replace myself. I installed the part and the furnace works fine now. DO NOT trust Triton Air. They are not looking out for your best interests.

Cotsco is very picky with whom they do business with and I am picky who represents Triton Air. We NEVER offer clients pricing for things they do not want, need or desire. You statements are not accurate according to our records. This was the information you gave to Costco and then transferred to John before he came to your home: "Home is 1800 SF 2-Story he had someone out and they told him his furnace is toast, A/C worked after recharge but cosmetically looks bad. just asked for change out but if a recharge was needed plumbing may be bad its 24 years old. needs saturday appt." According to the information given to us from Costco, you were looking for a free proposal to replace the equipment. That is why John was dispatched to your home. John is not a service technician. He does not make repairs (Triton Air has 4 full time service technicians). John is a project manager. If you were looking for a repair then that was not communicated to us. That is why John provided you with two free proposals on replacing your equipment. One for $2477 and the other for $5656. These prices don't include the $200 or $500 cash card you would have received if you would have purchased thru Costco. I have worked with John for over 15 years and have never once heard anyone state John was deceptive or trying to get a client to buy something they do not want, need or desire. John does not make a commission so he has no ulterior motive but to serve you and your needs. We offer free second opinions for other companies diagnosis. John may have advised you that the typical life expectancy of a furnace is 20 years. Yours being 24 years old (according to the info given to Costco) would indicate that your furnace should be replaced in the near future. The proposals were given on 7/20/13. We reached out to contact you 5 times during 2013 with no response. On October 8th 2013, the Costco representative finaly spoke with the reviewer Allen and recorded these notes from the conversation: "[[Name Removed]] really like John but he was able to get a Htr and a AC for 3200-3300 did not care what make or where it came from. I told him we have maintenance programs he may want to consider to extend the usable live of his investment" "Close dispatch RA" This does not align with your story. Up to this point Triton Air and Costco have heard nothing negative about your experience until almost 1 year later on 7/3/14. These are notes from the Costco representative stating that: "[[Name Removed]] came into Costco and put in a formal complaint - said he had someone ( friend?) come out and change out part and everything is working fine now (this was after he told us he got a new one for $ 3200-$3300)." When leaving reviews, please keep them accurate. If you were not happy with John and what he provided, we have no way of knowing unless you tell us within a time-frame where we can do something about it. We would have been happy to send out a service and repair technician for free to give you a second opinion (Our technicians don't make a commission either). Once again we are here to give clients what they want, need or desire. We are here to serve you.. not serve ourselves. Word of mouth is how our company has continued to grow for the past 10+ years. I do not believe I could have found a better company to work with. These days I think finding another one as good may have actually been a challenge. Sales was honest and very consultative. In doing my own homework I was prepared to purchase the most expensive system Lennox offered (quietest and most energy efficient). However, the salesman steered me toward the system that he felt would fit my needs at less cost. Furnace is installed in the attic and suspended from the rafters (as is the duct work as well) which makes it very quiet, and AC is not often needed being located near the beach so highest efficiency unit could not be justified. This education and advice saved me about $2,000. Installers were the best. On time every day, neat, clean and courteous. Were happy to have me come up to the attic to show me how they were doing things. They immediately won my trust. Having been in the construction business many years ago it was clear to me that these guys were as pro as it gets and took great pride in their workmanship. I did get another bid for the same equipment but because this was purchased through COSTCO, Triton Air came in the lowest. As unlikely as it is to get the best at the lowest price, that's exactly what happened here. Even without the COSTCO pricing I'm sure Triton Air would have been about the same as other companies but I'm not sure the others would have added as much value.

It was a great experience all the way. As we were leaving Costco, we met the sales representative, Robert Allen. He took the time to explain his products to us. John came to our house and thoroughly checked our house before providing an estimate. The crew moved quickly, quietly and efficiently throughout the house. Mike, the owner, came by during the installation to make sure the work was to his satisfaction. The installation of the condenser was a new installation, not a retrofit, and was installed with care and expertise beyond our comprehension. One of the most important parts was that at any time when you spoke to any of Mike's employees, they took the time to answer it with accuracy and knowledge.

There was a problem with the service man who was assigned to us. He mentioned that my air conditioning downstairs needs more freezing liquid. I said, "Okay" Then he said, "Well, first I would have to fix the leak" It was a big question mark because I said, "I know there is no leak. They damaged it when they paved my backyard and then they came and fixed it and replaced the freeze but they didn't put enough in it. Most likely that's the reason. So just put the freeze in there and charge me." He said, "I can't do that" Later on, I called to follow-up on it with his office and they told me he has left. The company is okay but that specific guy who is no longer with them was trying to push too much business, I thought. But the company came and apologized and said, "Next time we're here we'll do it your way" The company I think as a whole was okay. That specific guy was let go. When I took them up, I checked with Angie's List and they had an A+ rating. In fact, I now have a service contract with them. They'll be here next year again. The company as a whole is a reputable company and because this guy was leaving he didn't put his heart to it. They are supposed to give quality. Their price is a good 25 to 30% higher than the normal. You get air conditioning service for 90 bucks, their rate I think is 145 but they're supposed to be the best in the area and I was more into quality. They should not have sent this kid to me. They saw that I'm a senior guy. I went to them knowing that I'm going to be paying more than the market and I wanted someone honest to come in and tell me exactly what the problem is and I would be happy to pay for it but not just playing around. They offered me a package deal with a big discount. So I signed a 2 year contract with them. They would come in and service my system and fix it if something goes wrong. They're good until the end of 2015.

We greatly appreciate your business and taking the time to give your feedback. To keep our focus in the best interest of our clients, our team members do not receive a commission and are never pushed to offer anything that a client does not need, want or desire. Our policy re. systems that are low on refrigerant is to highly recommend a leak check. It is not mandatory. The leak detection recommendation is for your protection. 90% of the time, systems are low on refrigerant due to refrigerant leaks. If we just add refrigerant, the money you just invested into your system will likely be lost due to the refrigerant leaking back out. Sometimes very quickly. I am surprised to hear that our technician said that it was mandatory as this is obviously against policy. The technician who went to you home, worked with us for multiple years and we never had an issue with this technician. He consistently demonstrated integrity and good technical knowledge. He left Triton Air to go to work with family in the refrigeration industry. We greatly appreciate you becoming one of our maintenance plan clients as we find the the proactive maintenance plan greatly increases the life of your equipment, lowers operating costs and reduces the chance of break downs. I have added additional notes to your client file to make sure we get your system properly charged this coming spring.
